Hi! I was wondering if you had any recommendations for books with a bisexual POC? I've yet to find any yet, thanks!

We have some!  Not as many as we’d wish for, but still here are a few good choices:

If you’re looking for a literary fiction coming of age story about a Egyptian girl moving to America, go with A Map of Home by Rhanda Jarrar

If you’d like a semi-autobiographical experimental punk novella of vignettes, try Corona by Bushra Rehman.

If you like fantasy series with multiple POC queer women including lesbian and bisexual women, try Shira Glassman’s The Second Mango (first of three).  

If you’d like a coming out YA romance with a bisexual Mexican boy in a multi-racial group cast, try Boyfriends with Girlfriends by Alex Sanchez.

If you like YA novels, magic, and sexy bisexual Indonesian warlocks, try The Bane Chronicles by Cassandra Clare, Sarah Rees Brennan and Maureen Johnson.  

If you want a steampunk romance with a black bisexual man in the lead, try Prosperity by Alexis Hall.  

If you want to read a black bisexual woman talking about her life, politics, feminism, and history, go with Some of Us Did NOT Die: New and Selected Essays by June Jordan

If you like grotesque art and memoir graphic novels about growing up Cuban in the 90’s, try Spit and Passion by Christy R. Road.

If you’re looking for a more in-depth memoir about growing up Latina between Mexico and California, I’d try Barriers to Love by Marina Peralta.

If you want a truly intersectional look at bisexuality and feminism, go with Bi Notes For A Bisexual Revolution by Shiri Eisner

If you want a memoir of a powerful bisexual black man in media discussing his difficult and abusive childhood, go with Fire Shut Up In My Bones by Charles Blow.

Shoutout to commanderabutt, previously ghostofabuttspast, for giving me a lovely opportunity to prove what a lying asshole he is.

He claimed that he’s on my blocklist because I block everyone who criticizes me. [x]

Absolute bullshit. I blocked him almost exactly a year ago for harassing me because I’ve chosen to not date men. The only people I ever block are people who harass me. [x]

He completely denied that this happened - “of all the things that didn’t happen, this didn’t happen the most. do I even have MRA followers? I thought mras hate me now” [x]

Wow yep totally didn’t happen and all of this bullshit from his followers didn’t happen either. Of course, it doesn’t matter that I’ve provided links, because now he’ll just deny that this was harassment. Don’t you know it’s totally okay to attack women who witness examples of men abusing romantic partners and sexually harassing women on dating sites (the two posts I reblogged prior to writing that one) and then express relief that they have the choice to not date men? Remember kids, venting about your oppressors is reverse oppression.

Pretty much every time he’s reblogged a post from me I’ve immediately been harassed by MRAs. But please, go on about how they don’t follow you or like you.

In fact, just for fun - here’s a proud MRA who follows commanderabutt saying how much he likes his blog and how he doesn’t understand why any MRAs wouldn’t like him, and here’s commanderabutt being complimented for being a great anti-feminist (he rejected the label but accepted the compliment). He straight up said that it’s possible to be sexist against men, so he can dance around the “anti-feminist” and “MRA” labels but his values and the kind of people agreeing with him say otherwise.

And just to be clear, if I’ve blocked you, then reblogging from me, posting about me in the tags, and tagging me in posts is harassment.

Please stop falling for his “I’m a good bi man who wants to help but the big ol’ meanie queeravenger doesn’t WANT my help” bullshit. He’s a manipulative misogynist who spotted an opportunity to distort the narrative in his favor and he’s harassing people (not just me) and lying to do it.
