Tom - True Love Braid

A special Valentine's Day hair do for ya'll! I braided Tom's hair the day before his lover was coming to town. First I braided a cute love heart on one side, leaving a small section of hair underneath it to braid. Then I made cornrows out of the rest of the hair, letting the braids follow the curves of the heart all around.

Holly - Geometry Braid

I had been waiting forever to braid Holly's hair because it's fucking amazing: It's not only really long but it's also thick enough to be divided into several different sections. So that's what I did. The front part of the hair is rolled around "hair donuts" to form buns, with the left over hair braided. The rest is combed into 5 different sections, 4 triangular ones which are braided and 1 parallelogram which is dutch braided. Last of all I pinned up some of the braids to make some interesting coils and shapes. This hairstyle would work very well for dark or unicolored hair since it's geometric partings shows of the contrast between the hair and the scalp rather than the texture of the braid.

Anna - Waffle Braid 

To celebrate Våffeldagen, Swedish Waffle Day, I am posting a waffle braid! Anna wore this for the first waffle club in Sydney and maybe she will wear it again for the Melbourne one on Saturday! I first plaited four vertical plaits and then I plaited horizontal ones braiding in the hanging down plaits one by one as I went to create a woven waffle pattern.

Corey - The Favourite Braid

I braided my husbands hair in a laundromat somewhere in Melbourne. He wore it like that for a few days including for his birthday dinner. Lots of people asked for a similar braid as it is quite good but no one can pull it off the way Corey can. The front half of the hair is dutch braided like a snake. The end of the braid joins the back section's ponytail and they are plaited together.

Emily - Golden Harvest Braid

I saw something like this in a Russian youtube video and decided to try it out. A dutch braid starts at the left temple and goes around the head in a figure 8. Hair strands are taken both from the sides and from the two pony tails in the back. This creates a quite impressive hairdo. The two buns give volume and are framed by masses of golden braids.

Ari - Dragontail Braid

I made this braid at Ponyland for the talent show but Ari had to leave before the action started ;(. It is a simple French braid, made with small sections pulled quite tight. This gives the braid a nice reptile texture and the tightness makes the braid coil up at the end like a dragon tail.

Oliver - Showpony Braids

This little pony cooked dinner as usual and his reward was a bunch of quite ridiculous braids. Diagonal cornrows go from back to front and end with pretty blue bows. Additional blue ribbons are woven into the braids and their ends cascade down the back.

Lexi - Lexi's first braid

I braided Lexi for Coreys birthday breakfast. Each side of the head has a different type of braid that come together at the nape of the neck into a little diagonal rat tail.

Anna - Spiral Crown Braid

I made this braid so that Anna could look respectable for work. Two dutch braids start at the back and go in an U-shape up onto the crown of the head. Another dutch braid goes across the forehead like a headband. Remaining hair is braided too and all the braids are shaped into a spiral on top of the head.
