In 2011 when I first got on this damned site, kids (I was 19 then, but still one myself then honestly) were reblogging mature content for rebellious scene kid teen aesthetic. Two years later I found out underage smut was happening across this site's various fandom writing corners. The worst became legal matters, it tore potential friendships between muns for years.

All that drama, when many know and practice safe interactions in spite of it. And tumblr, much like any social media with "community guidelines," intervenes algorithmically to do algorithm instead of human mitigation of issues. Then it gets bought out by an outdated search engine company struggling for relevance in Google and Siri/Safari popularity.

This app and TikTok both need a redo.
