I read once that hard work is the key to any success, and I believe the man that wrote those words! As long as I keep working hard, I'm bound to get better and achieve my dreams! It's a very difficult profession... and I admit I mess up a lot... But I'll keep trying until I succeed! I appreciate the support, Mr. Erik! You should come to Selphia sometime and I can show you what it's like to be a butler!

Perfection isn't defined by a society or a dictionary- not when it comes to people. Perfection in a person is defined by the one speaking! And I think your family sounds perfect- you looked and sounded so happy talking about them, that's enough to think your family is pretty swell!

[Laughs sheepishly, nodding in agreement] You've got that right. Mr. Porcoline is quite an experience. And yes! I'm one of the steward apprentices in the Selphian Palace. It's such a big, beautiful castle!! There's so much to clean- all the time! [Looks excited... yet suddenly very exhausted at the thought]

Yes, seven. My mother was- and still is, a very busy woman! Busier than me! I helped with the chores growing up- I knew pretty young that I wanted to become a butler- but she and my father still took care of the cooking and attended to my siblings and I. Despite how may of us there were, they always managed to keep us relatively in line. It did get rowdy, no doubts there! But we're all growing up to be great individuals thanks to them. They're amazing people, I wish I could see them more often. [Sighs sentimentally before brightening up with a laugh] You guessed it! If only it had stopped at the group hug, though! They all insisted on a piggy back ride... And none would agree to taking turns. Who would've thought children could be so heavy- and hard on the back? [He rubbed his shoulder, trying to disperse some of the tension knotted up there] And the shoulders. I think I'll have to ask Mr. Volkanon to loosen me up a bit when I get back to Selphia.

I don't see why not! As long as you don't distract me from getting the job done, you can watch all you want. You can time me! I can work to beat that time!! And become and even BETTER butler!! Yeah! Oh, hello there— *he stops his work, wiping his hands on his apron as he finishes placing a bag of rubbish in the bin outside the restaurant, a bit taken aback by the nervous looking man*

   *shuffles nervously, staring at his feet with his voice caught in his throat* This isn’t a joke or anything, is it..? I mean, my shift is over but— I don’t even know your name!

[His fingers cease movement as the boy's voice hits Vishnal's ears, causing him to realise he had mistaken the waiter for a waitress. Swallows the lump in his throat that had formed both from realising the mistake... and realising how awful this dare was.He couldn't admit to it being a dare now- it'd give the wrong impression! Besides, this lad seemed nice! Maybe it would be fun.]

I-- [He choked, suddenly thinking about the consequences of this boy finding out it was a dare- slaps his hands against his cheeks, looking increasingly flustered. Was it best to come clean? Or try and hide it?] 

Well, I--! ... I-- admit I was d-dared to ask a stranger out on a date...But! That being said! I did not intend for this to be a joke, and if you accept I will gladly take you out for one!! [Decides not to admit he thought this lad was a girl; is a bit red in the face from the whole ordeal] And--! My name is Vishnal! [Places a hand of his heart and bows deeply- a way to all of apologise for the dare, be respectful, and... well, hide his ever-rising embarrassment] I-I'm pleased to make your acquaintance, Mr...?

Indeed! As most things in life, learning to control what we show is a matter of practice. To some it comes more easily than others, but practice is always the key! *nods* I understand, that sounds like a wise choice… and trying will do no harm!

Ah, so you’re a butler for a royal family? That’s amazing! It must be quite a difficult job…or at least, that’s what I would assume.

Oh, ah…mine? Sure! Well, as I said, my son and daughter are nearly a year old. Just about a month away from their first birthday, actually! Wow…I still have trouble wrapping my head around that! And of course, they’ve only gotten cuter as they’ve gotten older and they’ve started to show their own little unique personalities…

Oh, and Bianca… /smiles/ she’s…amazing. Heh. Even the latest relative to come visit - that one was from Selphia, but Bianca’s got a huge family - seemed completely shocked that she had seemingly given up her privileged lifestyle to marry a farmer like me. But I’m very happy she did…and she’s never once complained about the change, either! Even before we got married this past summer, she was just…happy to be here, I guess! I guess her stubbornness and determination sure had something to do with that, though.

Ah, sorry, I didn’t mean to just…prattle on like that! But I assume you’ve got some family that you can visit from time to time even with your undoubtedly busy job, right?

[Finally puts his hands down, frowning with worry] Neither can I, it sounds horrible. Turnip ghosts... Who would have thought such a horror was possible!

[Smiles sheepishly, rubbing his arm a little nervously] I'm not a full-fledged butler yet, I'm in training. ... And my master's aren't technically royalty! It's a very long story, to be honest, but they are my prince and princess regardless of blood. And I will work hard to become a real butler, one worthy of the title and position!! [Face hardens with determination, nostrils flaring and eyes set ablaze] I'll do it no matter what!!

[Smiles and hugs his knees to his chest as he listens to Erik talk- it was adorable how he fawned over his family] Your family sounds perfect. Is your wife, by chace, Bianca de Sainte-Coquille? Or, that was her name originally? I know Mr. Porcoline, the Selphian relative! He's, uh... A very interesting man. His food is delicious!!

Oh, no, don't apologise! I don't mind at all! I asked for a reason, and your family sounds, again, perfect. [Sweats a little at the thought of his own- it wasn't quite as perfect as Erik's. He loved his family, he really did, but it could get a bit.. chaotic.] My family is... Considerably larger than yours. [Laughs nervously again] I'm the oldest of seven children and my father is a doctor! Since I started my training as a butler, I haven't been able to see them much, but it happens that I'm actually on my way back to Selphia from a visit! My siblings are much heavier than I remember them being. ;;
