Cordelia is described as a freedom-loving, rebellious, willful, and arrogant woman(game fan books).
Cordelia is called in society as a person who is âunbridled,â âwillful,â and âlacking modesty.â
Her beauty and freedom-loving nature gave rise to bad rumors and earned her a reputation as a "slut" (MB fanbook , magazines) her beauty and arrogance were awe-inspiring.
She dealt with annoying suitors without hesitation. Kanato used their corpses to create dolls (DL Kanato Ecstasy Prologue, 07) . Laito also killed such men (DL Laito Maniac Epilogue).
In More Blood, we were shown exactly how Cordelia was toyed with by men. In front of little Ayato (MB Ayato Dark Prologue) , she let slip that if her suitorâ"an insatiable man/a man who never gets tired"âwas so eager to have her, he should become such that she would want to submit. And when unwrapping gifts from admirers, she wondered if theyâ"men who never learn their lesson"âthought this would make her "turn" in their direction (MB Kanato Dark Epilogue).
One of the gifts she was given was a piece of jewelry with a rare crimson pearl (MB Kanato Dark Epilogue).
One of her suitors was a gardener with a handsome face - however, after three months she got tired of him and Kanato made a doll out of him (DL Kanato Ecstasy 07).
She loves tea,in Yui's body, she enjoyed the taste of green tea, which she hadn't experienced for a long time (DL Reiji Ecstasy 01, 07) , and in DF, she asked Yui to make her some delicious black tea for the last time (DF Ayato Ecstasy 06).
She gave Yui advice: to attract the right partner for you, you should be more active and dress in more seductive outfits (DF Ayato Ecstasy 06).Cordelia views her body primarily as a weapon. When she woke up in Yui's body, she said that this body didn't satisfy her, but she wouldn't whine about such luxury (DL Laito Ending 03) . She also asked Reiji to tighten Yui's waist tighter so she would have some semblance of a waist: only in this form could she feel at ease (DL Reiji Ecstasy 10).
She was the daughter of the Demon King and desired to have all men at her feet (DF Ayato Maniac Prologue).
According to Cordelia, she did not allow just anyone to drink her bloodâit was the "greatest pleasure" only for the men she chose (DL Reiji Ecstasy 06).
In the past,Cordelia taught Reiji to dance in their castle ( SS to Character Song vol.6 ).
When little Subaru called her an "old hag," she calmly told him that it was impolite to talk to elders like that (MB Subaru Maniac Prologue).
Cordelia believes that seduction is a woman's main weapon, and only feels comfortable in the right attire (DL Reiji Ecstasy 02, 10).
Despite loving her husband with all her heart, she enjoyed the company of other men (VC fanbook).
She mentioned her qualities, such as impulsiveness, selfishness, and greed...with a touch of self-irony.
When Kanato burned his mother's corpse, he said that she finally belonged to him completely (DL Kanato Ecstasy Epilogue).
According to Kanato, his mother told him that he shouldn't go to places where he doesn't know what will happen (CD-drama ćŒăăĄăźćș§è«äŒïœææăźćŒæ±șăăĄăăăŸă~) .
Reiji told Yui that the reason for Laito's behavior was his relationship with his mother:Â "She, just like Laito, used to have fun with everyone"Â (MB Laito Maniac Epilogue)Â .
In the anime fanbook, in the description of little Laito it is written that "he also had perverted feelings for his mother" ( Anime Official Fan Book , p. 20, paragraph 7).
Laito didn't even call her mother when he was a child: she was always [ano hito] - "that person" for her, and only in DF Laito Vampire End , when saying goodbye to her, he will call her [kaa-san] ("mother") for the first time.
Laito remembered that she often said:Â "There is no more skillful liar than a woman"Â /Â "There is no more deceitful creature than a woman"Â (LE Laito Ecstasy Prologue).
Laito assured the heroine that his brothers would not disappear, because "they have their mother's blood"Â (SS to Dark Fate)Â .
During the previous lunar eclipse in the Demon World (and the war with the Ancestors), Cordelia remained locked in the castle with her children. According to Laito, she screamed constantly, as she supposedly hated being deprived of her freedom/restricted more than anything else. At the same time, she acted as usual, although the behavior of vampires sensitive to the lunar phases should be different (Drama CD Dark Fate vol. 2 (track 02 )).
The magazine described her method of raising Ayato as "Spartan":Â "As a hope for the future, Ayato was raised with strictness."
As a child, Ayato Cordelia forced him to learn the violin so he could compete with Shu. Ayato only studied for a month and was very poor at it, so Cordelia broke the violin. For Ayato, this was a relief and an end to his torment (CD-drama ăłăłăŻăŒă«ăŻăéăźéŠă!?ă ăŽăĄăłăă€ăąăăĄăźæŹČæă ) .
Ayato was the only one in the second game who noticed the change in the taste of Yui's blood after Karlheinz expelled Cordelia's soul from her heart (MB Ayato Dark Prologue).
According to the first game and More, Blood, Cordelia was considered the daughter of the Demon King and a vampire (DL Laito Ecstasy 08 , MB Laito Maniac Epilogue),and she was called a "half-vampire".
She was of noble birth, giving her blood incredible power and such an alluring attraction to vampires that it literally drove them mad (DL fanbook , DL Reiji Ending 02, Shu Heaven 02).
Game itself states that her mother is Mene, the aunt of Carla and Shin Tsukinami, who fled the Progenitor's castle to Karlheinz and, in an unknown time, gave birth to a daughter from the Demon King. Richter mentioned that his lover rarely told him about her mother ( DF Carla Maniac 08 ).Cordelia herself was clearly unaware of her true lineage (DF Ayato Maniac 08-10) , while even Christa had long known that her rival was the Progenitor ( DF Subaru Dark 08 , Ecstasy 08 ).Cordelia's father's race is also revealed in DF.He was a Vibora , a clan of snakes. In Lost Eden, Carla referred to Cordelia as the Princess of the Vibora (LE Carla Maniac 06).
Cordelia was awe-inspiring (fanbook for the first game) .When Yui first saw her, she thought she was a very beautiful woman (DF Ayato Dark 07) ,and she remarked on her beauty even when she was crying (DF Ayato Maniac Epilogue).
She wears a long, dark purple dress (s01e08) with lace straps and three white roses of varying sizes on the right side of her chest. The dress has a slit from the hip down the right side, revealing lush white ruffles. Around her hips is a thin gold chain with two blue roses.
Hundreds of years later, she confessed to Richter, who had suddenly returned to the Demon World, that Karlheinz had desired not her herself from the very beginning, but only the "Demon King's daughter" (from whom he ultimately received both his power and title). As the first wife who gave her husband the title of Demon King (DL Laito Ending 01, 03).
Through her relationship with Richter, she wanted to "punish" her husband "for ignoring her, losing his head over another woman" (DL Ayato Maniac Prologue).Eventually, centuries later, she decides that she "can't bear it anymore," as she was supposed to be the only one from the start, and so she asks the now-adult Laito to help kill Karlheinz: "Death is the best proof of love for a vampire" (DL Laito Ecstasy Prologue). Later, Richter, having transplanted her heart into the dead body of a random abandoned baby, is forced to hand the child over to the vampire hunter's care, fearing that her brother might take Cordelia, whose soul was valuable to him as the "daughter of the Demon King" (DL Reiji Ecstasy Prologue).
She desired to be recognized as the mother of an heirâso that the throne would go to her son (DL Ayato Dark Epilogue).
Richter called her "a woman of perfection" (MB Ayato Maniac Prologue), comparing Ayato's worried face with Cordelia's sad look (DF Ayato Maniac 08).
Reiji assumed that by killing her she simply wanted to force her love on a man who didn't love her (DL Reiji Ecstasy 05) , while by the end of his route, Cordelia, supposedly interested in her stepson, offered to kill Karlheinz himself, become king, and take her as his wife so that he could continue to rule these lands and show her "the resurrection and repeated murder of Beatrix" (DL Reiji Ecstasy Epilogue). However, as soon as Richter killed Reiji and declared to his daughter-in-law that he "finally caught her," she pushed him away, saying that someone like Richter would never be enough for her and that only Karlheinz could satisfy her body and heart (DL Reiji Ending 03).
Laito mentioned that their father hated Cordelia and, if he knew about her resurrection, would have killed Yui long ago (DL Laito Ending 03).
Cordelia "loved her husband to the depths of her soul" (VC fanbook)and desired "his heart/favor"(MB Kanato Dark Epilogue, DF Ayato Ecstasy Prologue).
As a child, Ayato asked why exactly his mother loved his father so much, and Cordelia, with the words "everything about him," told her son the story of how they met: it happened at a ball, where Karlheinz, who had excited everyone with his appearance, asked her of all the ladies to dance. She immediately sensed that he was "her man" : at first sight, he stole her heart and soul and became special to her ( MB Ayato Maniac Epilogue) . She told Yui that, "after marrying," Karlheinz was "always truly gentle/kind," "did a lot for her," and "listened even to her selfish whims . " On the one hand, she vaguely felt that he had an ulterior motive, but she was "very happy just to be able to be with."Besides, although no woman could resist his smile , he only said something to Cordelia in bed that made those moments seem like a dream to her. And so her love for Karlheinz gradually grew . Over time, the woman realized that if her beloved's life ever came to an end , she would want to be the one to give him death (DF Ayato Ecstasy Prologue). She also believed that only her husband,to whom all her love belonged(MB Laito Ecstasy Epilogue).
"The moment we met, he completely captured my heart and soul. We first met at a ball. I remember it even now. As soon as he appeared, the atmosphere immediately changed. Both men and women watched him intently. Everyone was wondering what kind of lucky lady would receive his invitation that night. And he extended his hand... to me. And, smiling tenderly, asked if I could give him a dance. Then I intuitively felt. This man is the best man in the world. That he is the man most suitable for me. From then on, Karlheinz became my special man."
âCordelia to little Ayato, MB Ayato Maniac Epilogue
Cordelia admitted that other men weren't important to her, because her husband's love was enough for her (DF Ayato Maniac 09) ,and that living in a world without him had no value for her (DF Ayato Ecstasy Prologue).
One day, little Ayato, who came by chance, witnessed her breaking something in despair, unable to understand what was wrong with her : if all men fell on their knees before her, then "why him!.."; she lamented that it was unacceptable to have another woman as a lover (MB Ayato Maniac Prologue).
Later, she received a blue rose sent by her husband - a symbol of the "impossible": Ayato decided that with the gift his father wanted to show that nothing was impossible for him and trampled the flower. In the same episode, Cordelia angrily mentioned that Karlheinz had been canceling his visit to her full moon after full moon (at least for the fourth time), promising to "make it up for next time" (MB Ayato Maniac Epilogue).
Adult Laito witnessed another such canceled visit: the boy wondered why Cordelia was so angry, because "it was always like this with him ." The woman first threatened not to forgive Karl this time, and then concluded in a tearful voice: the way he continues to feed her hopes is unforgivable/unacceptable, because she loves him so much (MB Laito Maniac Epilogue).
On the night Ayato wounded his mother, Karlheinz appeared and punished his son for her murder: in his thoughts,he never remembered her and that no matter how much she loved her father, her love never reached him (MB Ayato Ecstasy Epilogue) . After some time, he would reproach Karl for not understanding the happiness of being loved until death - Karlheinz would respond with a smile and sigh: "Don't part with her (Yui) .If you love, love her throughout life" (MB Ayato Vampire End).
Reiji believed that the only reason their father married his stepmother was because she was the daughter of the Demon King and valuable due to her blood (MB Reiji Maniac Epilogue).
Through this marriage, Karlheinz created an alliance between vampires and Vibora and secured the their right to rule the Demon World (LE Subaru Dark 09) ; according to the first game, he gained both his power and title from the blood of his first wife.
According to Cordelia, he was the only man who had the right to give her orders (DF Ayato Maniac 09).When Cordelia tried to kill Yui to take her heart, Carla arrived and ordered her to restrain herself. She replied that only one man in the world could command her.
In Dark Fate , after being temporarily resurrected by the powers of the Progenitors, Carla Tsukinami told her the truth about her maternal lineage and Karlheinz's true motives (Carla revived Cordelia with the help of ultimate magic (Ayato's route) . Cordelia refused to obey him, so Carla used his power: she admitted that she couldn't stand rapists/tyrants, while he said he didn't like such sluts, and Shin shared his brother's opinion (DF Ayato Dark 10) . Shin was terribly irritated by her arbitrary behavior, which he complained about to his brother (DF Ayato Maniac Prologue) and Carla revealed her true origins and Karlheinz's reasons for using her blood, and was glad to open the eyes of this "slut" (DF Ayato Maniac 09).)After the story, Cordelia broke down and burst into tears for the first time in the games, trying to find some reason why her beloved had not returned her (DF Ayato Maniac 09-10) . After Ayato tried to kill her again and was later saved by Yui's forces, Cordelia, before disappearing, still wanted to personally check with her husband whether he loved her or married her only because of her blood., and therefore asked Richter to take her to Eden (DF Ayato Ecstasy 06) . Finding herself in the time room in the castle, she called out to Karlheinz: he did not answer until the woman, screaming and crying , then Karl called out to her, but he himself never showed up; Cordelia was happy just to hear her husband's voice. The conversation between them remained off-screen; after Ayato appeared, demanding that he give his mother an answer, Karlheinz kills his wife with the words: "I answered her... that the dead must return to where they belong. Farewell, beloved Cordelia" (DF Ayato Ecstasy 07).Ayato indignantly shouted at Karlheinz, asking why he was always like this,to which Karlheinz could only sigh (DF Ayato Ecstasy 08).
In Lost Eden, Cordelia shared with Richter her assumption that Karlheinz would agree with her, that a competitive streak is an important quality for a clan leader (LE Ayato Dark 06) . Laito also recalled an incident from his childhood: "The woman who was my motherâimmediately after she flirted with her lover Richter, her husband Karlheinz appeared. With an absolutely unperturbed expression, she fawned over her husband and reached for a kiss" (LE Laito Ecstasy Prologue).
According to the HDB version, their relationship began when Richter, centuries later, returned from wandering the human world to Karlheinz's castle after his shameful defeat for the heart of the Demon King's daughter. Cordelia noticed the guest at the ball, struck up a conversation, explained that Karl had no time for her and loved someone else, regretted not choosing him back then, and hinted that whether Richter would succeed in stealing her from Karlheinz depended on his abilities. But as soon as he saw how joyfully Cordelia rushed toward Karlheinz, who had suddenly appeared at the ball, he sadly wondered how many more times she would break his heart before she was satisfied. Richter knew full well that Cordelia disliked him and used him only as a replacement for Karlheinz.Richter admitted to having fallen under her spell, though Cordelia claimed he was more reliable than a familiar (DL Reiji Ecstasy Prologue) . He also reproached her for using him, knowing his feelings, and Cordelia didn't hesitate to remind him that he was the same: he, too, was using her blood to surpass his brother (DL Ayato Maniac Prologue) . Even though Laito had killed his mother's "men," Cordelia told her son to leave Richter alone for now: she only dealt with him when she was overcome by thirst , and he might still be useful (DL Laito Maniac Epilogue).
According to Karlheinz, long before Cordelia's death, Richter was told that her heart could live forever if it changed owners (MB Ayato Ecstasy Epilogue).
Cordelia and Reiji discussed how the relationship between the brothers had deteriorated: Cordelia claimed that Richter and Karl had been on good terms until she ruined it, but Reiji added that if such a woman was involved in their breakup, then there was a rift in their relationship from the start (DL Reiji Ecstasy 03) .
Richter dedicated poems to Cordelia. Many of them serve as epigraphs to routes in the first game: Laito forced Yui to read one of them, after which he burned the book (DL Laito Dark 08).
Little Kanato, who sometimes sang in their presence, witnessed the relationship between his uncle and mother.(DL Kanato Maniac Prologue; MB Kanato Dark Prologue, Ecstasy Prologue).
Laito was also well aware of this: he believed that Richter felt superior to Karlheinz due to the fact that his brother's wife accepted his feelings (MB Laito Maniac Prologue)
In the first game Cordelia and Richter met either in the underground canal (DL Kanato Maniac Prologue) or outside the castle (DL Ayato Maniac Prologue) , then in More, Blood he accompanied her on the night of the full moon already in the castle itself, their relationship was not hidden (MB Kanato Dark Prologue, Maniac Prologue, Ecstasy Prologue).
He responded to Cordelia's incredulous question about what he was doing there by saying he didn't need a reason to be near her . Cordelia suggested that he lick her foot in that case and Richter complied, declaring how perfect she was. He himself offered to help her take the heart from Yui, to which Cordelia promised to reward him with a kiss (DF Ayato Maniac Prologue).
In another route, Richter will rape Yui, mistaking her for Cordelia: he will say that she was a woman who always thought of another man in his presence , but now she will forget about this other man - or rather, he will "make her finally forget about him" ( DF Shin Manservant End ).
In the first game, Cordelia is shown as a stern mother. One day, little Ayato, playing in the garden with Laito and Kanato, flatly refused to go to school, declaring that he would continue playing. Cordelia slapped him, reminding him that this way he wouldn't become the best and that they couldn't lose to "old lady Beatrix" (DL Ayato Dark Epilogue) . Before this, his mother had explained to him that he couldn't play forever, and he had been daydreaming during classes earlier, having learned nothing. Later, she threw him into the lake, saying it was punishment ("cool your head here" ) and that he wasn't allowed out yet. She threatened the boy, saying that if Ayato didn't become the best, there would be no need for him and then he wouldn't be her son (DL Ayato Maniac Prologue).According to Ayato, that woman(Cordelia) never behaved the way mothers do (DL Ayato Ecstasy 08).
Cordelia told the story of how she and her father met, after which Ayato wondered if Karlheinz was the best man in the world for his mother, so what about his son ? As soon as the butler brought Karlheinz's news about the postponement of the visit and the rose, Cordelia became angry and remembered that this had been going on for several full moons, and Ayato had trampled his father's gift with his foot ( "Does he mean to say that nothing is impossible for him? It's so easy to break" ). His mother screamed and slapped Ayato several times, saying, "Why are you trampling on his gift with your dirty foot?! A child like you, really! That's why you can't be the best! What are those women like, what are you like, why!..." (MB Ayato Maniac Epilogue). After this incident, Ayato decided to bury all his feelings for his mother and burned all the things she had given him. Even as a child, he decided that if that were the case, it would be better if she were gone (MB Ayato Ecstasy Prologue). After this, his father came to him, lamented why Ayato killed his own mother, lectured his son on correcting his "distortion".Ayato, watching him go, reflected on what an unhappy woman his mother had been and how his wish, like hers, would never come true (MB Ayato Ecstasy Epilogue). Ayato also told Yui that he no longer wanted anyone special, meaning his mother by "special".
In Dark Fate, after being resurrected by Carla, Cordelia met Ayato in an underground tunnel, smilingly calling him a "bad boy ." When Yui intervened in their conversation, Cordelia reminded her that Ayato desired not the girl herself, but his mother's heart inside her. She then directly announced her intentions to reclaim the heart; however, her plans were thwarted by the Sakamakis who appeared in the tunnel (DF Ayato Dark 07-10) . Sometime later, Merz lured Yui and Ayato to the Ancestor's castle, and Cordelia attempted to kill Yui in front of Ayato. Carla interrupted them, revealing the truth about the woman's origins. Unable to bear it, Cordelia burst into tears and ran away. When Ayato attempted to kill her again, which she immediately sensed"Of course, I understand why you came. No matter what, I am still your mother," and allowed her son to stab her. Already wounded, she whispered to him that she would repeat it again and again: he had turned out to be a "worthless boy," impudent and clumsy â not at all like Karl (DF Ayato Maniac 08-Epilogue).
After Cordelia was convinced of the couple's love, she instructed her son to always remember her words from the past and be the best: "Make this girl happier than anyone else. If you are not the best in the world, I will not forgive you."Ayato then realized his mother was talking as if she would soon disappear, and he wanted to confront Carla, but Cordelia stopped him. Ayato even think about things like "filial duty," she wasn't afraid to die. Ayato was very depressed after this conversation (DF Ayato Ecstasy 06).
In Lost Eden, Cordelia told Richter that her only wish was for Ayato to succeed Karl. She regretfully noted that her son's hot temper and recklessness made him ill-suited to the role of king, but he possessed tenacity and a "competitive spirit," an essential quality for someone who stood above all. Therefore, she asked Richter to mentor Ayato after Karl's death, should the day come when he inherited power and the throne (Lost Eden Ayato Dark 06).The butler of their castle told the boy that he had been so strict with him in his childhood because his mistress herself had ordered him to be so.(Richter came to the Sakamaki mansion to help Ayato learn to control Karlheinz's power at Cordelia's request: she had once made him promise that if the day came when her son would be king, he would become the boy's mentor. The uncle himself arrived at the mansion without telling his nephew the reason for his presence â he only confessed to Reiji whose request it was: he didn't want to reveal his mother's involvement to the boy (LE Ayato Dark 06).)
According to Richter, Kanato was most attached to his mother, and Cordelia reciprocated his son's affection/care (Kanato Character Book).
She liked Kanato's dolls, Kanato used male corpses to create them. She also asked him to sing, because his singing made her cold body "burn" (DL Kanato Ecstasy Prologue) . When Kanato burned her corpse, he filled a vial with her ashes, which he placed inside Teddy: now his mother belonged entirely to him (DL Kanato Ecstasy Epilogue) . He periodically ate her ashes (DL Kanato Ecstasy 01).
Cordelia loved Kanato's song "Scarborough Fair" because Karlheinz loved this ballad (MB Kanato Dark Epilogue).
In More Blood, it is shown that Kanato sang when Cordelia was with Richter: his voice lifted her spirits (MB Kanato Dark Prologue) . It was she who gave him Teddy and reminded him to always tell her whatever he wanted (MB Kanato Dark Epilogue) . When the boy cut himself with scissors while cutting out a card for her, he approached his mother, who was leaving with Richter; under the pretext of "you'll stain your dress," she sent her son to the maid to treat the wound and left with his uncle. Laito advised him to cut himself worse so that she would "turn" in his direction (MB Kanato Maniac Prologue) . Which he did this time... Cordelia was rightened, she ran to balcony and was about to examine the wounds, until the maid announced that Karlheinz wanted to see her.As she left, she asked her son to wait for her (MB Kanato Maniac Epilogue).
Kanato, wanting to shift his mother's attention from Richter to himself, cut himself and fell from the balcony. He began singing on the ground and the woman noticing his absence looked around and decided he had simply gone somewhere (MB Kanato Ecstasy Prologue).
According to the second game's version of the murder, Cordelia, falling from the balcony, called for Karlheinz's help: Kanato heard this and, coming to the garden to his mother's corpse, asked why she was calling "him" and to whom she was reaching. As in the first game, he burned her body, saying that this would warm her (MB Kanato Ecstasy Epilogue).
In Lost Eden , Kanato had a dream:As a child, he was crying in the middle of the castle ballroom, singing and wondering why his mother didn't come.
In Young Blood , finding himself in Rothigenberg, Kanato wanted to "go home to mommy" (vol. 4).Â
Since childhood, Laito knew that "she only loves Karlheinz" and "only he is special to her," which he teased Ayato about (MB Ayato Dark Epilogue) ; he encouraged Kanato to cut himself even more in an attempt to "turn" her, although he understood that it was better to stop, "testing her is useless" (MB Kanato Maniac Prologue).Laito's routes do not contain a single childhood flashback directly related to his mother. In the first game , as an adult, he killed Cordelia's "men," but she only laughed at this (these men tired her out with their declarations of love), calling her son a "bad child" (DL Laito Maniac Epilogue).
Laito witnessed Cordelia's rage: she was indignant that Karlheinz had once again deceived her and didn't come; the boy advised her not to be angry: it was time to "forget" about "that man".
The wounded, no longer able to move Cordelia called Laito to the balcony for help: she confessed that all her love belonged only to Karlheinz and that the two of them should kill each other; then the boy threw her down: "Since I love you in my own way, I think I'd rather kill you right here" (MB Laito Ecstasy Epilogue, s01e08) . According to the first game (and anime), he did it,because she belonged to another and only in death did she become forever his (DL Laito Ecstasy 08+Epilogue).
After finding a report in Eden and learning that their mother was the progenitor and that they themselves were the fruits of an experiment, he cried over how unhappy Cordelia was, always trusting her husband, while he considered himself to be the planned "scapegoat" ( DF Laito Ecstasy 10-Epilogue ) . Afterwards, Laito made a symbolic grave for her and said goodbye, calling her "mother" for the first time ( DF Laito Vampire End).
In Subaru's ending, she arrogantly offered to lend Yui her power to kill the man who killed Subaru in that ending, but Yui chose to kill herself along with Cordelia (DL Subaru Ending 03) .
In Laito's route, Cordelia threatened to kill her and Laito for using the power of her blood to steal her chance to give Karlheinz her own death (DL Laito Ending 01).
In Laito's route in DF, Yui was happy that Laito finally acknowledged Cordelia as his mother (DF Laito Vampire End).
As stated in the first game, this blood was like opium for vampires, intoxicating and seducing them, and along with her heart, it was passed on to Yui. When she turned into a vampire in the first game, Shu remarked that the smell of her blood kept his brothers awake at night (DL Shu Heaven 02) . As soon as Reiji tasted it, he remarked: her scent alone created the effect as if she had walked through the city naked (DL Shu Heaven 01).
This heart was the central element of Karlheinz's plan; without it, it would be impossible to create Eve. Count Walter also called the heart "unique" and "treasure" in Lunatic Parade.
Her room in the Sakamaki mansion, now locked, is located in the attic above Ayato and Laito's rooms: it used to contain bookcases, a sofa with an armchair and a table, many paintings, and a secret room in which Richter currently kept her bloodied dress (s01e08, anime fanbook ) . "...Despite the dilapidated atmosphere that permeates the attic, there is also a sense of elegance here..." (Anime Official FanBook, p. 63 ) . Cordelia's appearance, designed by Satoi-san, varies slightly between the authors of the official manga and was redesigned by anime character designer Yahiro Yuuko.
In the first game,Cordelia,in Yui's body, compared Reiji's "foolish" behavior toward her to Beatrix's behavior.
Yui concluded that the mistress of her heart wasn't without maternal feelings (LE Ayato Dark 06-07).
I didn't expect you to like my Diabolik Lovers art so much. Now that I'm being treated for depression, it's become a little joy for me. So from time to time I'll delight you with these dangerous boys :3 Soon I'll open a commission shop, and you'll be able to place an order with me.
Valid, I feel like she deserves this ending on like one of her routes (she deserves her own route every game!!) and if it was added in the games then I'd love it so much because ain't no way I'd let those Dracula's assault her everyday. đ„¶
// This might be the best-written monologue in Diabolik Lovers, because it shows the split between mind and heart in such a realistic way to the point of becoming uncomfortable. Ayato can reason with himself and make sense of why he did what he did, but emotionally, he never truly escapes it.
His mind reframes the act not as a path toward happiness, but as a way to eliminate discomfort. He doesnât think âI will be happyâ or âI will finally enjoy life.â Instead, his thoughts are defined by negation: âI wouldnât have to hope anymore,â âI wouldnât become miserable,â âI wouldnât feel sad.â
This shows that Ayato is not reaching for something positive; he is only retreating from what hurts. Happiness is not even imaginable to him in this moment, only the absence of pain is. The repetition of these thoughts feels less like reflection and more like persuasion. Ayato is not describing what he feels, he is describing what he believes he should feel now that the act was done. He repeats ideas as if repetition will make them true. This is the MIND trying to impose order, but the HEART does not cooperate. The relief he feels is described as âstrangeâ not comforting, and the brief sense of loss, though quickly dismissed, proves that he indeed acknowledged something irreplaceable has been destroyed.
His perception of his hands is what gives the monologue its deepest impact.
