I hate when people complain about “oh health forms are stupid they want my biological sex instead of my gender!!!!” or “they only have male or female!!!”

There’s a reason for that, you dumb fucks, and they’re referring to biological sex

Different health risks are present in different sexes, and whatever gender is in your head does not change the fact that if you were born female, you have a higher risk for certain cancers and osteoporosis, and if you were born male you have a higher risk for heart disease and often a shorter lifespan than a female.

In other words, your biological sex is an important factor in health and health insurance, and your special snowflake status doesn’t change that.

No. There gets a point where nice doesn’t work. There’s too many stupid ass angsty teens on here that are gonna get themselves seriously hurt or sick because they wanna be a special fucking snowflake. Lemme tell you a thing. Doctors don’t give a flying fuck what you identify as. All they want to know is do you have two X chromosomes or an XY? Because cancer and lupus and certain medicines don’t give a flying fuck what pronouns you use. This is about your fucking LIFE. stop being angsty for TWELVE SECONDS because when you’re in an ambulance or going into cardiac arrest or whatever the situation may be, it’s ESSENTIAL that you get your head out of your ass long enough to tell them your BIOLOGICAL SEX that you were BORN WITH. It literally may save your life.

Okay so I’m not an expert but it seems to me that if there were some kind of life threatening situation where they might need to know your biological sex they could pretty easily discern that without a form. Part of basic procedures like CPR involve removing an individuals pants, they usually have you strip naked before operating, hospital gowns are open in the back, etc. And also unless there has been an incident directly involving your genitals I don’t think there are so many differences between the health of men and women that it could “save your life” for them to know. Yes there are some diseases and health issues that are more common in men or women, but diagnosing an individual case does not have anything to do with them knowing your biological sex at that very second. If you have congestive heart failure, you have congestive heart failure regardless of what other working parts you have.

And furthermore, if it were a trans person and they were going through a transition, it would be even more helpful for medical professionals to know so that they’d be aware of any sort of hormones they were taking, any procedures they’d undergone, etc.

The biggest problem with this kind of thing is that there’s a difference between sex and gender, and both are spectrums, not just gender. Like, sure, maybe they need to know your chromosomal status- except saying ‘male’ and ‘female’ only accounts for XX and XY. If they really needed to know your sex chromosomes before they could perform surgery, for example, then they’d also want to know if you had XXY or XYY, for example. And in some situations your genes don’t even match up with how you look anyway. Some individuals with XY chromosomes do not produce or detect androgen as a foetus and they end up growing into a ‘biologically female’ body with a vagina but

without a uterus. And what about intersex individuals? People who have both sex organs, neither, or an underdeveloped ‘middle’ organ, such as a micropenis or a short vagina? Or people with different bodily hormones to the ‘typical’ makeup for their sex? Or people who don’t match their body to their sex organs? What exactly is it that doctors need to know? And how can sex be put into two boxes like this? It’s really not that simple because, even though people may have trouble accepting it, every person on this planet is pretty much a special little snowflake. We shouldn’t be categorised so quickly. But, we shouldn’t just destroy the categories either, because what if some doctors genuinely need to know your sex? (They could probably work it out pretty quickly tbh)
