Okay, say it with me.
“Cassandra is not a villain”
Crossing the line is not a villain song. She is not evil by any stretch of the imagination. She has had an incredibly difficult life and the actual villains are manipulating her for their plan and making her do things she wouldn’t normally do, like turn her back on her best friend and abandon everyone that cares about her.
The most you can call her is an antagonist but that was incredibly short lived. She stood in direct opposition to Rapunzel’s goals once with grabbing the moonstone. But she never wanted to hurt Rapunzel at any point. Cass is in a very bad place at the moment and isn’t thinking through her choices which made her an easy target. But so many people are labelling her as the villain and some going as far to even call her pure evil when that just couldn’t be further from the truth.

Does not negate the fact she IS this.
The song really sold me on her not being a villain. Crossing the line was epic, moving and almost empowering.
