Ocean Vuong, from Someday I’ll Love Ocean Vuong
““Of course I’ll hurt you. Of course you’ll hurt me. Of course we will hurt each other. But this is the very condition of existence. To become spring, means accepting the risk of winter. To become presence, means accepting the risk of absence…””

There is something both incredibly sad yet extremely liberating about this mindset.
Like on one hand the thought of just “existing” and not having any particular direction in life sounds positively frightening, but at the same time, just focusing on being positive and happy and focusing less on how you achieve those things sounds pretty dope as well.
So many of us are being conditioned by this “hustle” culture to constantly be moving and shaking and on the move and onto the next thing, is isn’t 100% a bad thing. But when you make it up in your mind to just be grateful and find happiness regardless of your situation or where you are in your journey, that really does free up a lot of that pressure.
