”NEXT TIME you decide to cut CCTV cameras, make sure there isn’t someone recording you on their smartphone.”
"Or maybe I wanted to see if there was anyone good enough to find me," she said glaring at the woman. She should have cut everything on the block, sloppy got her caught.

”——And that should concern me how exactly?”
"Because that's my fucking coffee."

"So what does SHIELD want with me?"
"Well, hey there. What brings you north of the Wall?" he asked. It was cold up in Boston, and humor kept people from going nutty.
"Was that supposed to be funny? Because it was a really shit joke."
"How was I supposed to know," Ven shrugged. "I was hired to do a job, take your beef up with my employer."
"Maybe because it was easy?" she asked with a heavy sigh. "So who is your employer then? Or should I just hack you instead?"

"So you're the one who was hitting the same target as me? After I did all the work too. Thanks."
I really need to get active on this blog again, I’m terrible I know Maybe like for a starter?
Momentarily, Lilith would consider simply leaving the table and heading over to one of those that needed to be cleaned. There was little sense in trying to explain to an obnoxiously unappealing customer that she, in fact, needed neither any tips nor was necessarily bound to being friendly towards anyone in the coffee shop. She owned it, after all — and that for me- re distraction from writing her dissertation in human genetics, being the sup- reme consultant to a crime organisation, and trying to raise a child. Lilith Payne was not easily disconcerted. Insults, however, she took personally.
Her gaze dropped to whatever it was that her counterpart was fidgeting with, brows pulled downward into a mistrustful frown and arms folding together a- bove her chest. ” You know, if you’re trying to build some sort of bomb, I’ll have to call the police. “
Maya laughed, "You can try, or I could shut down all the phones in the restaurant Unless you all have phones from like the 50's somewhere around here," she said as the small device came to a rest on her shoulder. "But no, it's not a bomb, just well like a toy I guess. I don't fucking know, things just pop into my head and then I make them. It was more about testing a mini version of my tech I use on my hoverboard," she said pointing to it sitting on the ground next to her.
She was never one to shy away from bragging about how good she was with tech and maybe flaunting her powers here and there. But the way the woman took a bit too much interest in her workings seemed weird when there was probably a lot better things she could be doing with her time other than talking to some freak like her.
Lilith bothered not to give a response. While one hand carried the tray, the other quickly occupied itself with taking the mug and placing it accurately where it belonged — comfortable to reach even with eyes locked onto the com- puter screen and yet not close enough to make the undesired loss of data probable. Her insides roared, tickled her fingertips as if tempting them to wrap around the brunette’s fragile throat. Impulsivity and a quick temper had always been a flaw of hers, but the customer oh so blatantly provoked ag- gression with her plain flout. It was just lucky for her that Lilith knew how to control herself and remembered in time that the coffee shop’s co-owner did not like blood being spilled on the new carpet.
“ Oh, I do have other things to do. But none of them are as … intriguing as a customer who knows not better than to insult the person serving a drink. “
Maya scoffed, "I don't remember insulting you at any point there. You would know if I was insulting you," she said placing her handmade laptop on the table as she reached for the coffee. "You should be careful not to spoil you tip away," she said placing the coffee down as she pulled out some small pieces of tech out of her bag. She started to twiddle and play with it, easily connecting it into working pieces before snapping her fingers as the small device started to float off the table. "Fuck yeah," she said looking too excited over something so small.
"Nah. Guess it doesn’t. Basically Ah can borrow other people’s powers…"
"Borrow or take?" she asked taking a step back from the woman. She didn't know Maya had powers, or at least that's what she was hoping for. Whatever she could do, it probably wasn't good.
"Really? That sounds nice." Luna was unconcerned. "But you’d have to reach me first, and that’s not happening."
Maya mumbled a few choice curses and looked back down at the device before reaching into her pack and pulling out a small battery she had made, "You sure?" she asked applying it to the wristband and lifting it up as the energy arced out and hit next to the other girl.

"Oh, right coffee," she said not looking up from her work as she waved her hand around, "Just put it anywhere. Ok, not on anything that looks like it could spill on," she said almost insultingly. If the waitress didn't know better than to set coffee around tech on the table, she shouldn't be allowed to leave her house without an attendant. At least that's how Maya would see it. She looked up at the woman with a fake smile, tilting her head, "Anything else, or don't you have other things to be doing?"
"Then I won’t watch," she answered with another shrug. "And if you’re still having trouble, I advise you learn to work around it. Unless you plan on living your life as a hermit, which I highly doubt," she added after looking over the girl and her tech.
"Whatever," she said ignoring the girl as she worked on modification on her wrist band, attaching a small piece of metal that could slide in and out. A small shock from it came out when she pulled back to look at it, "Well I could. I'm pretty close to it, and now I can taze people that annoy me."
"Exactly, but only beacuse you have the power that doesn’t mean you can scientifically explain. And you want to work with them or be hated by them?"
"I don't need to. What I do works. Understanding them is better left up to smart people like you," she said with a hurt voice almost. "I'd rather they just leave me alone. When I took this, I thought I would be able to at least work with you some of the time, I'm sure I can learn a lot more that way."
”Way to rub salt on the wound. You know — It’d be a real shame of all that fancy tech of yours went missing. Do you keep it all under lock and key?”
She smiled and snapped her fingers, the device falling to the ground with a light thud as her hoverboard stopped functioning as well, "My stuff has a hard time working without me unless I allow it. So it can go missing if someone really wants a paperweight. Or if someone was like Stark level, maybe they could get parts of it to work."
