           chin resting on the table, low eyes are fixed on folded hands as focus lies only on his steady breathing.  quite frankly, li was entirely too tired to exert the energy it would take to keep up with….. WHATEVER he was going on about.   ( how could one class of new recruits be so utterly exhausting ? )     instead he’ll simply sit in SILENCE hoping  the lack of attention goes unnoticed.    if he was lucky, nothing said would require a more thought out response than            ❝  hmmm   mhmm.  ❞

chin dips,   gaze piercing.   li may think his inattentiveness can be brushed under the rug,   but rocket’s determined to let his claws sink in,   drag it out.   and he knows just the way.   something that gets everybody’s blood boiling   ———   at least,   if they have a sound moral compass.   

there’s a glint in his eye as the corner of his mouth peels back.
