FAQ:

What is BLEAK about?

BLEAK is an upcoming asymmetrical horror game on Steam (still in WIP faze) that is inspired by other asymmetrical horror games! We’ve been working on this game for a few months, since around November 2025 and it is a very dear project of ours!

What characters does BLEAK focuses on?

BLEAK mostly focuses on its story, but we’ve got various Original Characters created by the devs themselves!

Can I help work on BLEAK?

Yes indeed you can! We’re currently looking for muscicians (Original SoundTrack creators), 2D/3D Animators, Voice Actors, Financers, and most importantly Coders/Programmers!

Our staff is considerably small since we’re still dealing with school stuff, that’s why we need your help!

BUT PLEASE KEEP IN MIND!

You will not get paid yet! Since the game is still in development, that’s means we’re not monetized.

How do I apply?

To apply to be apart of our Staff Team, just read the stuff below!

These are the current available positions:

Coder/Programmer → program for the game!!

Artist Team → create official artworks for the team

OST Team → create Original SoundTracks for the game

Voice Actors → voice act for the characters

Designers → design cool stuff for the game

Modelers → create models for the game

Animation Team → make 3d/2d animations

Writers → help us with the lore!!

You need to have a little bit of experience with the field in which you want to apply!

One of the Developers are the ones that will accept you. If you get rejected, it's okay!

Show us one of our works! If you have participated in an event (whether you voice acted for a character or made an animation for a game, etc) Show us proof

Hey gang! Kingfisher here

I want to talk about how Bleak works. We mostly made Bleak to improve upon gameplay within other asyms and make it more dynamic.

Bleak is fast-paced. Think Grace fast. No matter who you’re playing as, every character has a movement ability, can climb ledges, and can go from 0 to 100 within a single step. The killer will be able to be on one side of the map to the other quickly. There’s no time to rest or fool around in Bleak. You’ve gotta be alert 24/7.

Bleak also follows a traditional three-act plot. There will be three chapters each, each chapter hosting 9-12 after-round sequences. How it’ll work is that there’ll be two main gamemodes: Competitive and Story. In Competitive, every character is playable, and every map is playable. It’s also where we’ll go ahead and fool around a bit more.

In Story, it’s all about what happens during Bleak. Just to give you a taste, Bleak is a game about a group of survivors and killers pitted against each other by force, trapped on an island. The two parties are separated by a river, which freezes over the winter. Throughout the story, the characters will uncover the mystery of the island and their coming here - and how to escape it.

In Story you’ll only be able to play with characters and maps in that chapter. Moreover, after a round finishes, you’ll be take to the killer’s or survivor’s grounds, playing as a predisposed character. These are ‘sequences’, and they’ll tell the story of what happens in the chapters.

As for characters, Welly mentioned we will have ocs, exploiters, and Roblox myths. In total, we have 30 characters, around nine per team each chapter. There are 15 ocs and 15 Roblox-related characters, and the killers/survivors are split down the middle.

Of these characters, we have:

-Telamon and 1x4

-MrDoombringer

-Scott and Lance (ocs)

-Noob

-Windforce

-And something may madness related

While I can’t say anything about them yet, expect content of them in the future!
