i cannot in good morality ever excuse or encourage people to hurt themselves
there are very specific circumstances that i truly believe someone should die, i think death is a quick escape, getting true justice will always be more appropriate. make them live with the consequences of their actions.
not only can you be charged for encouraging it if the person actually does it, but it makes you no better than what they did
i say this as a victim and survivor of COCSA in middle school, and then my rapist killed herself in high school. the guilt and shame that came after her death was immense and it only made it worse that i was too scared to tell adults in my life when it happened, but sharing it after just made everything so much worse.
my mom told me it was my fault she killed herself because she couldn't be with me anymore (i blocked my rapist after i realized what rape was, my rapist continued to try to contact me through my friends or convince me to unblock her throughout our first year of high school)
before my rapist died, she was incredibly manipulative, telling my close friends she was going to hurt and abuse and break people like she broke me, she had no remorse, but after she died all my friends turned on me, regardless of knowing the truth from their own conversations and messages, people who never knew her acted like they were her best friends, and the school was creating memoriums for her.
i never got justice and i sure as hell never got closure. i was gaslit into silence and completely alone for a couple months. eventually some of my friends came around but others i never talked to again. i do not want anyone to go through the same shame, guilt, remorse, and anger i had to endure hearing the people i trusted, family, strangers, everyone around me crying over her death, mourning the person they knew her as.
i never got to. when i tried to tell my story it was frowned upon. even though i never wanted her to die. her committing suicide made my feelings seem heartless, cruel, and insensitive, because i wasn't sad she was dead, i was angry i couldn't get justice or closure.
why would you want victims to feel like that? especially if they didn't want their abusers to die?
