Hello! May I request, Leona and Malleus(separate) with a Neuvillette like reader? I have not been able to find a fic with anything similar :)
Malleus Draconia & Leona Kingscholar | M. Reader as Neuvillette [Genshin Impact]
Dragons are.. rare to say the least. Especially over the course of history thus when Malleus first enter NRC his eyes are instantly set on someone with a.. familiar aura. A flow of magic that's similar to his own. Still somewhat.. new to these whole thing. He is set on becoming what others would call "friends" with this individual.
At first, [Name] is somewhat questioning why someone from the Draconia lineage would come to him. But it wasn't until Malleus start talking about the "woes" of their kind. He knew instantly what the other is trying to do. Suppose he should have expected it.
After all they are the only two dragons in this campus. It's best they look after one another.
Now... seeing Malleus in the hallway is enough to make any sane student walk the other way but seeing two of these tall towers standing like they're expecting something—they might as well join the ghosts in the dungeon. Lilia seem quite happy though saying how Malleus is finally making friends.
Being the ancient creatures they are. Some things naturally click [Name] could understand where Malleus is coming from and vice versa. Thus they form a close friendship throughout their studies in NRC.
It wasn't until the.. human.. that came out of nowhere. Did things began to shift.
Yuu has became the center of attention, albeit they didn't ask for it either, but still trouble seem to gravitate towards them like a magnet and so does Malleus. Who seem quite intrigued by the child of men. It have gotten to a point where even [Name] has to admit. Yuu is certainly quite the individual.
Not many can gain a Draconia's attention like that.
"You seem to be in a pleasant mood today." [Name] says offhandedly, his eyes not leaving the other dragon as they walk outside of the campus' walls, admiring the gargoyles. A past time of theirs. A time where they can be alone and simply enjoy what they enjoy. Speaking a language that only they understand. The other turn his head and with a smile and a chuckle reply, "Ah yes. The child of men have showed me quite a particular thing today."
"Hey is it just me or has it been more cloudy this week?" Deuce ask curiously as he looks up at the graying sky. For the past few days the weather haven't been optimal, even P.E was cancelled in fear of something happening while they fly on their brooms.
Ace merely shrugs. "I don't know. Maybe it's reaching some type of rainy season or something."
Meanwhile Yuu can only look at the sky with a furrowed brow. It.. doesn't look normal to them.
"Ah. It's you." [Name] hums. Seeing the child of men standing rather awkwardly by the bookshelves. Closing his book he straightened his posture. "Were you looking for me?" He ask smoothly. Not everyone go to the library with such... fidgety intent.
"Well. Um.. I know this may sound weird but—I've learned somewhere in history of magic that.. the weather can be manipulated and.." Oh dear they're talking in cycles. But then again.. they barely interacted with [Name], they don't know what he's like! Is he like Azul? Leona? Vil? They don't know and certainly doesn't want to create a scene where they're both uncomfortable.
"I heard from somewhere that you're also a dragon. Could.. could the moody weather be.. your doing..?" [Name] pause. Such a bold question. The sheer audacity of it is simply—"I-I'm not trying to be rude or anything! I just.. with how some of my friends have been going. The Overblots and all. I.. I worry for you. Is there any way I cam help?"
In the end [Name] could only sigh and indulge the other, for the whole day the dragon follow the other in doing ridiculous activities, or perhaps.. it's only ridiculous to him because he's not used to it and over time.. he grew to learn why Malleus seem to like this individual.
"You seem to be in a pleasant mood today." [Name] turn his head at the sound. A sense of deja vu. He have asked that question days ago and now it's being thrown back at him by Malleus. "Hmm.. I suppose." The sky is clear and the sun is shining through. Truly. A wonderful day.
"I've met the child of men. They seem to be quite the individual if I say so myself." He catches the slight twitch from Malleus' hand.
"But even so—" He shifts his gaze to look at the other in the eyes and with a small smile. "I prefer gargoyle watching with you most."
Malleus pause as if taken aback by such admission then a chuckle escape his lips, his expression softens, a faint color make its way onto his face. "I see."
Look.. Leona already knows which is which. Which one to fight and bare his teeth, and which one he should just ignore if he wants to have his naps in peace.
This one however.. have always been confusing. Leona is not close with [Name], plus the latter look so.. pompous.
It wasn't until during one Potionology class did Leona finally acknowledge the fact NRC has a second dragon. They need a very specific type of water for this potion. Water is.. well.. water. How is he suppose to know which one is spring water from the North or East, or.. whatever!
It wasn't until [Name] points out which one did Leona start paying more attention.
"You seriously know which one which?"
"Yes, you see, each water has a different taste. This one is more lighter and easier to swallow. While this—" "—Okay okay, I get it. You don't have to give me a lecture on top of this one."
They don't magically become friends. Of course not. But [Name] definitely moved up his list after that, especially after their score is proven to be quite high after that class. A good asset to his win.
Then.. the herbivore came. Then all kinds of things are let loose. Ghosts, Overblots. Everything.
And somehow Leona got himself rope into this whole mess. Great. Yeah. He could be taking a nap right now. During that time he began to notice that [Name] seem to be quite close to the herbivore. Not that he cares, it's not his business after all, the dragon can do whatever he wants.
But then.. something happen. It's hard to explain but somewhere along the way they managed to get into trouble with the Headmage and now they have to pay the price. Probably just.. a whole week of cleaning or something but even so...
[Name] who stands on the ground of justice speak plainly and simply that it felt insulting. Yeah. Leona have screwed up a little but—"Come on! You can't just do that for me? I haven't done anything to you and you just outed me like that? That herbivore is more guilty then me for making us do that!!" He huffed, turning his head to the side and crossing his arms. His tail flicks dangerously with his anger. "If that's what justice means to you then you need to reevaluate yourself."
The heavy rain that follow after their argument is.. a lot. Way more than back in Sunset Savanna. It's been a week straight of nothing but pure rain. Leona would take the opportunity to nap any day, the rain is proven to be quite the pleasant backdrop not to mention the scent of it.
But after a few days it's getting old. Sometimes you just want to nap under the sun, y'know? Plus.. he hasn't seen [Name] in a long time.
"Hydro dragon, hydro dragon. Don't cry!"
"What in the name of the Seven are you yapping about?" Leona grumbles at the other's words. He doesn't know why but he find himself close with Yuu. Maybe because a part of him believe he'll find that dragon with the one person he seem to be close with. Only to find the fact he's now stuck in this storm in the Ramshackle with them.
"I learn this things in history of magic. It said that whenever it rains non stop.. it could be a sign that it's actually the hydro dragon weeping as they feel humanity's pain. It's an.. old folklore, apparently they would call out to the dragon and say they shouldn't cry. It is said that when the dragon hear it.. they'll stop weeping and the sky will be clear again."
Wow. The Herbivore actually believe in that crap? Such juvenile..
Yet as it continues to rain for another week. Leona began to look at the sky slightly more different. Inside Savanaclaw he rest his arms on the railing, propping one hand up he rest his chin on his palm, gaze fix on the clouds. "Hydro dragon.. hydro dragon... don't cry.."
Just then the door to his room opens. Leona instantly straighten his posture and turn his head to see that it's the very dragon he was looking for days ago. His throat suddenly feel dry.
They both stop. An awkward silence feel between them.
[Name] clear his throat. "You speak first." "Not a chance, don't you dare try to be a gentleman about it. Just yell at me or something." He can't help but laughs at how blunt the lion is being. Ha.. he almost miss it. With Leona he doesn't have to say anything. The lion's blunt and sharp words, ever so unapologetic, have always been more grounding than any.
Right.. he doesn't have to apologize for anything. He doesn't need to. Perhaps a yell or a playful smack is enough with the lion. It's.. far more honest than any word that may leave his mouth.
The sky clears as sunlight finally grace the ground.. once more.
