we split a new alter, they became extremely confused and distressed and blocked him. when I say crisis, I mean this alter even cut contact with our irls (which is a situation I'm still trying to resolve), sh'd and tried to run away. even though one of our alters explained the situation and unblocked him after a while, he was still upset at me, particularly. I tried to explain that the new alter had no recollection of him (or anyone for that matter) which is why they blocked him out of distress but he didn't care. that refusal to understand made me realize he didn't care for me at all. I understand Ash's viewpoint. They had told me before that being blocked triggered them. And I understand this, obviously, but I don't want to be blamed for actions that were not my own. "But your alters are you!" This alter had an amnesia barrier and were extremely confused. Honestly, now that I think about it I guess it might've been too much to expect them to provide support through such a situation. shrugs. It doesn't matter anymore because he's now in a relationship with someone he just met, so I take that to mean he's immature and just jumps into relationships because he doesn't want to be alone. I get it. It's a mistake I've made plenty of times myself. But God knows I won't make it again. ♡︎
