more irl yans need to distinguish fantasy vs reality in relation to their own desires . it's completely ok to not actually want more extreme things (kidnapping , abuse , stalking , etc.) in practice , just pleeaaaseee do not claim to want those things then back out && be shitty about it when your partner seriously wants them . give the both of you the decency of knowing what you want && can handle before blindly getting into those dynamics .

tips for yanblr as someone who is chronically online and tends to stalk. 👍🏽
1. How to get someone's IP - Use a fake link and attach it to your pinned post. :-) it can be a rentry, carrd, YT link.⠀OR⠀link your atabook. <- atabook shows you someone's IP (anon or not) whenever someone sends you a message. You can use that to locate their state, city, what network they use, and zip code.
2. How to find an account when you can't remember their username - check yanblr blogs that have been here before 2026. As these blogs tend to reblog a lot. You can find old blogs that have posted whether deleted or not. <- i've once found my old blog in a blog that was made in January of 2026.
if you can remember their mutual(s) users, go through their following, likes. They're private? No problem. Look through their posts. Who's reblogged it? Liked it? Who they tag in ask games? I usually use the second option for finding someone's secret blog, new blog, etc.
3. How to find information on someone - If they have anons it's likely the anons have asked the person questions. Look and see if the blog uses anon tags, go through them. Becoming someone's anon can be time consuming but if you believe you can charm someone well, then pretend to be an anon who's interested in them.
4. instagram following / mutuals - want to find out who someone follows on instagram but their account is private? Look through the "suggestions" part. When you view someone's profile on instagram, it shows you more account(s). These accounts are usually linked to the person because they might be a follower, mutual, etc.
5. location / face - does this person ever post pictures of outside? If you look deep enough you can probably see someone's face through a reflection. You can also pin down their location by searching up the places visible in the photos themselves.
ex: there's a coffee shop in the photo? Look for a name. Look for a unique design and/or something that can help you locate the name of the business / it's location. <- it helps you figure out their area and hometown.
6. How to block someone who has you blocked - look to see if anyone has reblogged a post of theirs on a alt and/or on your main because you can block someone through reblogs.
Use the tumblr website to block them back using settings. You'll need their username which you can just get by using the share link.
7. How to bypass a block - do not use your main blog for yanblr and/or a community. Use side blogs. I promise you it's not going to kill you if you can't interact fully lol. When someone blocks your side blog you can still see their blog because it isn't your main. You know?
I don't know if this still works. I tried it out last time in 2025 but it could be patched. :( apologies.
8. How to get close to someone - Honestly, for this, you just need to know how to pay attention. Example. Lets say they've posted a picture of themselves in their room. You notice that in the background they have a collection of MLP toys. You can use this interest of theirs to get closer.
Another example. Someone has a shitty layout. You're experienced? Offer to make one for them or to teach them how to get better at editing. You can bond with them.
9. How to get an anon out of the picture - Study the anon's typing patterns. Are they dry? Hyper? Do they use colored text? Once you have enough information on them, use it against them. Send the blog something mean or something that might break their boundaries.
10. How to get a blog banned - This might seem shitty but just report their vents lol. Things like suicide talk, shit talk, telling someone to kill themselves, NSFW posts. It doesn't matter what it is, if you know it goes against the TOS, report it.
11. How to find out who someone is mutuals with - This is similar to number two. You can look through their reblogs, post likes, pinned post likes, mutual tag, etc. People on tumblr tend to spam like their mutuals so see who's constantly interacting with them.
12. How to check if someone has you blocked on instagram - use the website. Log out if you're logged in. Search up their username. If it pops up, it's likely you're blocked. If it doesn't, it's either deleted, deactivated or banned.
13. Finding their other socials - If you have their current username / past usernames saved you can see if they use them on other social media apps. ex: tiktok, instagram, reddit, ao3, facebook, discord.
14. Want their full name? A great way to find this out is their cashapp, paypal or just any app that might be used for money. When verifying, both of these apps need your government name. You can use their full name to find old schools, family members, court cases, etc.
15. It's easy to find someone's instagram and/or tiktok because whenever someone sends you a link to a reel, it shows a pop up of their account. This might not work though as for tiktok you can turn it off.
16. Wayback machine - if you're looking for someone's old blog, just use that site. You'll need the full link though as it tends to not work with just the username. You want to put someone's blog on there? Be careful. If they have "need an account to view my blog" on, it's useless. internet archive will just lead you to a tumblr page where you need to log in / sign up.
