Bittersweet is a changeling! She was stolen from the mortal realm sometime in the mid 1900's and escaped through the hedge in the 2010s. She doesn't talk about her time in Arcadia, from what she does say it seems like she was being kept by the fae in some sort of human farm. Her parents and her Fetch are long since passed, she has no family other than the friend she has made since her escape.
Her transformation while in Arcadia has made it easier for her to communicate to varying degrees with domestic animals. She also has a suspiciously green thumb and is especially apt at figuring out puzzles and riddles. She works shifts at a diner and a bookstore near her apartment. In her free time you can usually find her gardening, going for nature walks, reading, and drinking tea.
She is quiet and kind and thoughtful. It's very hard to get to know her, it takes her a quite a lot of time and patience to get her to open up. She avoids loud or rowdy crowds and places. She dotes on the simple pleasures of life, and sees beauty and poetry in everything. After all that she's endured, she just wants to live the rest of her life in quiet peace.
Mortals without the sight see her as a normal human with quite a lot of birthmarks. Her style includes a lot of floral or paisley patterns, and retro dress styles (especially anything 40s-60s). She often wears fresh flowers on her person, either woven into her hair, woven into a crown, or pinned to her shirt. Cottagecore describes her vibe pretty thoroughly.
