“yeah, kind of a guilty pleasure show of mine,” she confessed with a warm smile, tapping the edge of the book idly against her hand. bianca seemed nice, easy to talk to at the very least, so hayden didn’t mind spending a little time doing so. with a knowing nod, hayden let out a quiet, brief laugh, “i think everyone wrote an essay on it in high school,” she agreed. “it’s funny how you notice things in a novel the second and third time that you never even thought of the first time around. i try to read it once every few years.”
“Guilty pleasure?” this time, she wasn’t asking about the meaning of the expression. Shocked her head a few times. “If you liked, you shouldn’t be ashamed of that... I believe the show had like... six o seven seasons, right? In any case if you liked a show from my country, that would be embarrassing, I hate the plots and the acting of soap operas, I swear.” she really do, they all had the same history line, with different scenarios and names for the characters. “I know right? A classic, so you’re re-reading, awesome! I have only read it once, but I agree with you, the more times you read something through time the more details and introspections you get from the novel.
“A fuck boy?” She asked as she walked with the girl. They had only recently met but sophie liked Bianca, she was sweet and naive in a way she wished she was. It was cute and endearing in a way. “It’s a guy who’s only intention is to fuck you,” she said from experience “trust me they’re no good”.
She had the definition coming, but just wanted to confirm her thoughts about the word. Fuckboys existed anywhere. “I think I meet one recently... not sure” she shrugged. It wasn’t bad, for her, that people wanted to live ther sexuality in their own way but pretending you actually like some just to have sex? That was the thing she hated the most. “How can I be sure he is?” She did not consider herself completely naive, but she recognized that she always gave people the benefit of the doubt, which is why she often ended up disappointed and taken for being stupid.
the blonde wasn’t yet accustomed to the sorority life, her dad had gotten her an apartment in town where she stayed sometimes. “we do, yeah. i’m a terrible english teacher, i think.” a giggle escaped her lips. “i’m still figuring out the sorority shenanigans… are you liking it, though?”
“oh, no no” she shook her head “of course not, I just simply assumed that, and that’s on me”. someone at the back cried out for silence, Bianca saw how the librarian approached them. “Can we take this conversation to the cafeteria?” a little nervous she was that she had already gotten up from her seat.
“Right? You’d think it’d just be common sense but unfortunately the population today lacks that greatly.” He mused thinking about what she said. Dante honestly wasn’t fond of people overall, too judgmental. But maybe he was judgmental for judging everyone. Either way, he still didn’t like people. “Dante.” He chuckled. “Should I just call you beautiful?”
Was Dante telling jokes to Bianca? Anyone could bet. Giggling shook her head a few times before answer. Unbelievable, she thought. There was an adjetive in Spanish, informal anyways, that could kind of fit for the situation: labioso. However, the mexican would never call him that way in her his own noses. “Bianca De La Rosa” she correct him and introduced herself. “So, Dante... tell me, with how many girls or boys have you tried that line?”. She was freshman but not that naive “did it work the first time?”. The brunette had zero intentions of being rude, in fact she asked the question just to gain time to pick a nickname.
“Unfortunately society thrives on labeling people. But I say fuck it, you know? People are people. A label or title can’t define who someone is.” He could see the annoyance on her face and he agreed with her in that sense. “Yeah? I wonder too. But you can call me whatever you’d like, love.” He smirked at her lightly.
“Couldn’t agree more with you. Honestly, why don’t just simply let people live their lifes?” her own life was full of labels and prejudice which were pretty more unaccurate. But now they were talking about getting nicknames. she let out a laugh and tucked a lock of hair behind her ear. “How about let me know your name first or I just call you ‘french guy’?”.
hayden let out a laugh of her own, shaking her head, “no, no you’re not dumb. don’t say that. it’s kind of a weird saying anyway. i think i learned it from a rerun of buffy at one point,” she shook her head with a shrug. “actually, i’m just rereading to kill a mockingbird,” she held up the copy of the book, “have you read it?”
“oh you’re so sweet, I swear... Buffy the vampire slayer?” she asked, finally something she can talk about, well... mostly because she barely managed to watch a few episodes, maybe that would be wnough by the the moment. “to kill a mockingbird” repeated with kind of a poetic tone of voice “yes, I have, actually while I was on highschool we had to wrote an essay” she remembered loving to read it, but hated to staying up late to write it “what you think about it? you like it already?”.
“would it work, if it was?” he asked, winking. “sadly, it’s not.” now that she mentioned it, though, it kinda looked like that. maybe he could start using it that way; someone who is smart enough to be interested in a book-related anecdote could be a potential date for him. “no ghost, darling, i can assure you that.” there were a few books that he really enjoy that use monsters in order to create a spooky environment, king’s for example, but whenever he wanted to really scare himself, he would turn to some writers like allan poe, who would really play with your mind until you convince yourself you’re terrified. he tried to do this whenever he wrote that genre. “psychological thriller sounds more like it. but enough about me. how are you doing, bianca?”
“No” Bianca frowned. She looked completely confused, even so a scarlet stood on her cheeks, she felt so ridiculous; as a freshaman anything that involved her could be a hazing; including flirting, no matter if it came from a friend. In her mind, she tried to imagine the kind of history history that Jupiter Beckett had wrote, the one that Steohen King liked so mucho. A serial killer was in the options but also some kind of paralell universe with random realities that could terrify anyone. “You’re going to let me read that novel?” she asked genuinely “I’d totally love to read the thoughts of a spooky and creepy mind like yours” she slightly exaggerated, with confidence gained she replied simply “I’m doing all fine, thanks... I mean, I haven’t wrote a novel yet but I sort it out...”
“A thot?” He was slightly amused that she didn’t know what it meant. This was the first time he ever had to explain that word to someone. “A girls who fucks-gets around a lot.” He was never one to be shy about being crude.
now that she understood the word was kind of confussed because of the context. “you guys have labels for everyone, don´t you?” rolled eyes, she hated the fact that women were judged because of her sexual life. “i wonder what’s your’s”.
“ huh ? ” a single brow furrows , head tilting slightly as if indicating her brief stint of confusion . “ it’s like .. balls out grotesque .. but in a cool way ! ” she opens her cupped hands , in the palm of her hand a tiny little caterpillar . “ see ? gross because he’s so squiggly , but sick because he’s blue . gnarly . ”
impressed she was of seeing the insect in the other hands. “i like the color but...” narrowed one of her eyes “in my country some people say that the shag they have it’s poisonous” she shrugged, she didn’t belived that “maybe just... allergenic, i really don’t know... where you got it?”.
“colour me impressed?” hayden clarified before offering a shrug, “it’s kind of a 90′s saying… i think. anyway, it’s not important. i really was just trying to say that i was impressed with the protagonist of the book.”
“oh my god” she laughed “sounded more like printing something for you... can i be more dumb? i guess not” a blushing appeared on her cheeks, was grateful with the girl by explain it “which book you read?” asked just to make conversation.
“i mean, i still don’t know… i suppose it’s a technical photography term. i better get to it once when we get to the dorm, my essay is due tomorrow.” she would need at least four hours to write it, so she’d have to make sure that a good, black coffee was in her system to get her through that. “i’m thinking about going to the cafeteria, care to join me?”
“ugh” snorted, always hated not to understand something but it would be comfy for her just to join and expect to freya to figure it out by herself while she had her own homework done. “sure thing, honey” she accepted all smiles. “but can we pass by a book first? i highly doubt to find the info i need on internet”.
emily blinked a few times, just making sure the other girl wasn’t pulling her leg, “be there or be square? uh, it means that if you’re not there, you’re not a-round.. like you’re not present. it’s a phrase and kind of mathematical, now that i think about it, which is disgusting. anyways, when’s your next class?”
she was kind of embarassed because it was obvious that the brunnet thoght she was kidding, but was a genuine doubt that she had. “so how can i use it properly?” narrowed one of her eyes as a sign of confusion, it was still not entirely clear, she didn’t wanted to bother though. “my next class will be...” looked at the clock in her wirst and made some mental calculations “within one hour with a couple of minutes” twenty three, exactly.
“Oh! It just means that you can stay in my house.” She’d just expressed her she could crash at her place. “After our study session you can definitely sleep over and we could even watch some movies.”
“oh... i get it now” she smiled widely at her. “but... we already live in the same house, don’t we?” a laugh escaped out of her lips, a little loud considering they were at the library. “i thought i saw you in the kappa kappa tau chapter... didn’t you signed up?”.
“i honestly don’t know what to tell you.” he said, laughing. “it is a true story.” every single time he told it, though, people wondered if it actually was. “you’d have to read my novel first. then, you’ll understand why stephen king liked it so much.”
“uhmm, i don’t know” she shrugged “that’s your line with all the girls or...?”. she was obviously kidding, bianca really doubted every word he said, but at the end of the day she gave him the chance. “so... your novel it’s about ghost and scary things like pennywise or it’s more psychological suspense like... misery or... neither or those?”. she assumed that he was on the horror fiction genre.
fresh off a plane from mexico city, mexico it's bianca de la rosa. they’re a freshman majoring in finance and financial managment services at collège alpin. you might know them from their parents, they’re the mexico senators. the 18 year old saggitarius sign bears a strange resemblance to camila mendes. around collège alpin they’re known as the resident magnet. it helps that they’re very kind and intelligent, but they’ve been known to be ambitious and perfectionist. you’ll recognize them in the halls by classy outfits, roses and black hair. listen out for way down we go by kaleo playing in their room. [ dorcas, 22, gmt-5] * kappa kappa tau + drama / theater.
hello there, dorcas in here! sorry i’m so late for the intro part and mostly the opening of alpinhq :( i was so busy this day. some ooc thing u must know is that english isn’t my first languange, spanish is; so maybe i take more time to write the replies than the average, be patient with me, and naturally, i’ll have bunch of mistakes, i’d really appreciate if you tell me where i’m wrong, perhaps don’t get the slang at the first time (sorry about that too!). less me talk, let’s get biancas.
full name: bianca catalina de la rosa íñiguez
bday: november 26th.
she was born and raised at mexico city, mexico, as the daughter of two important political figures.
her father run for local deputy, and keept political relationships since he was in highschool, so the family is well relationated. later on (and more recently) he run for senator and won. her mother is councelor.
i didn’t want her to be the mexican cliché involved with narcotrafic because i don’t want to make that image to the country, but it’s a reality that it’s linked to the political mexican life; maybe i’ll write about this topic and be sure i’ll use the tw tags properly. (i’m not intented to rplay itself the topics but to mention them) ANYTHING ABOUT THIS PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF YOU FEEL UNCOMFORTABLE AND I KEEP THOSE WRITTINGS FOR MYSELF AT SOME PAGE IN THE BLOG WITH PRIVATE POSTS.
tw: mention of murder. the background is: her parents have declared war againt the narcotrafic due to that they are constantly threatened of death. they hired security guards but that isn’t enough since the cartel got some of them murdered. even though they were replaced, her parents don’t feel any safe to have her around and picked the most exclusive far from home college for bianca. yup, she wasn’t even asked if she wanted to leave mexico, however she is aware of the situation and knows is for the best... she misses the tacos, tho.
she’s a freshman from kappa kappa tau and that really excites her because of the tons of movies about the greek life. she’s majoring in finalcial stuff because she plans to either run her own company or work at the economy political field in mexico.
basically she’s kind of a sunshine but a perfectionist person, she likes the things do it in her way (the better way, in her mind, lol)
i’m looking for friend for her, maybe a crush (or ex, maybe), a bff/confident, and someone from the drama club ehmm ofc someone to hate(?).
