Throughout all of the years Jiu-Jitsu has been around in our lifetime, there have been many influential people of the Martial Art & Sport that have played a
My club bought our little girl this, seriously!

Hello! I did a couple months jiu jitsu last year but unfortunately i had to leave due to school and work. The no-gi sessions were my favourite, and i would love to get back to it this summer. Have you any pointers for someone getting back? Also do you know if anywhere sells women's rash guards and how much they would be? I love your blog!
Thanks for following, sorry for the late reply! Getting back will be my own feat as well in the fall as I'm pregnant now and couldn't train. So I know how it might feel. I'd say do lots of stretching leading up to it...practice your basics you may have learned at those few classes. There are many you can do on your own, like shrimping and different rolls. Rash guards are tricky for women, keep an eye on BJJ HQ they often will have them and for the best price. They offer daily deals on an item so it's always changing. :) BJJ Lady
At my gym there's this younger male (about 15) who thinks that girls doing martial arts is weird and about how he wouldnt hit a girl or anything. Now this was after I tapped him so I dont know if he was just mad. Advice on dealing with him?
Hi there This is common for young guys I think, and really it's up to your coach (or whatever you may call them) to deal with him in my opinion. Eventually as he grows in bjj he will learn that this notion does not matter. I've rolled with many teenage guys and you can tell they're trying to prove something and can get really smashy. But the older people at your club should be working to get that out of them. It shouldn't just be you feeling the strain of that.BJJ Lady
Sorry I haven't been on here much as of late. I'm currently 37 weeks pregnant, and my focus is mostly preparing for our little grappler. But I want to congratulate my husband on his blue belt, lots of hard work the past two years. It's well deserved! Oss. And I'm quite jealous of him training this past 9 months while I have to sit out. I can't wait to get back on the mats, hoping for the fall time. :)
Maybe im just very frustrated- my usual training buddy is away so im going with other people. This wouldnt be an issue except the guys my age wont tap, despite the instructor saying it look sunk or the other who just muscles 'chokes' on me. Advice?
That's unfortunate, I think it's up to your instructor to say something. Tapping is important in training obviously, and if they don't and you push harder they can get injured. And muscling can be really unfair, we have a few that try that at our club and my coach is always on top of that issue as we have many smaller men and women. Your instructor should want to address these potential problems to let everyone have a real chance at learning and growing together.
Thank you!
Thank you for following!
I apologize for not posting as much lately, not being able to train while growing my own little fighter has been sooo hard!
Just wanted to ask people...do you have a favorite BJJ practitioner that you look up to? Or just really respect :)
