While the two are apart Strings still seemed to be attached to each other's hearts They had broken up decades back But recovery of its wounds always lacked

While having attracted many countries before And continue to have been attracted to many more Her heart never stopped aching for him As she looks at the well-hidden ring

"Why can't it be perfect? This love's not even real." She thought, as she reminisced of their strained past She always felt miserable, only to reconcile at last

Her smile came through, despite the tears Reading his journals, full of ink smears That had told the book's age quite obviously Which made her smile more, full of glee _

"Why don't I cry for you? Love was dead from the start." He took his glasses off and daydreamed Of how adventurous his life with her had been

Living off of contracts and allyship Decades of arguments and chaotic yelling They managed retrieve their grip Even when their bridge was close to falling

The two accepted their fate Remained divorced for so long It was all too justified, yet so awfully wrong However any further changes would be far too late

He weeped as he wore the aged ring It did not fit as much as it did before But nonetheless, he missed his darling His heart never failed in refraining to roar
