Been sitting on these for a while.  Part 1 of a whole buncha dino skeletons that I did for the museum sequence of the Half-shell Heroes movie Titmouse did in 2015.

My daughter drew a “running star flower” the other day so I decided to animate it for her.  After she saw it, she asked for the stylus and drew big sisters next to the boy, so I animated them too.  I’ve tried to keep the proportions consistent to their designs.

Here’s another rough walk cycle animation reference that I made for the animators in Hanazuki S1.  This one’s for Wanderer Flochi.  Maroshi’s surfboard ottercats are some of the most fun characters to draw.

As a director I didn’t get to animate much myself, but I would sometimes get to do reference examples for the animation team.  This rough walk cycle from S1 for Maroshi is one of my favorites.   It’s a lot of fun to try to pack as much personality as possible in a few frames that will be reused many times over.

This blog is sadly lacking in animation work.  Here’s a throwback to a few years ago.  Some of my Tip animations from the first season of Home: Adventures of Tip and Oh.  Such a fun crazy cute show to work on!
