Feelings, nothing more than feelings Trying to forget my feelings of ..." _Morris Albert_
I grew up playing the oldies, with Sinatra, Gershwin and the gangs of Morris Albert, along with a lot of Beatles, just at a tender age of 8 or nine.
With the left foot reaching for the lowest tones and trying to somehow coordinate the two hands for the play, my heart would be set on to the rhythm and the feel of those beautiful pieces, ever since.
However, being a dancer since about that same age, I could never really bring the emotions to an expression of art and spirituality till I was only fourteen or , was it 15 ?
Music and dance, made me who I really am , today, really.
Both required so much of resilience, practice, passion, and very importantly , being in tap with all my 5 basic senses. There was always a fine line in controlling the expression of what those senses had received to containing them within the “play” , and not being a sponge to all sensory always. a blunder of words, here.
Perception and balance was the key.
But
I am just human too. It is difficult for an artiste ,of any sort , to not be perceptive to their surroundings, to not recognise the changes in emotion of another person, to not react to it either.
The worst kind of thing, anyone could become, I have seen throughout my littlest years, is intended isolation of another person- one who has done no harm or forsaken any pain. For someone to live to the shunned norms of stereotype and being the biggest judgemental fools (yes, fools, cause most of their views are baseless and unintelligent, to be honest) - has disgusted me ,time after time.
It is rude, crude and ruthless in every level.
People after a certain age, just would remain indifferent to it. Their perception will be unchanged, and all that is seen from their tiny little box, is their view, and only theirs.
All I can ask is, for the affected, to ignore, to remain being who they are. Cause those other persons ….they won’t be getting far.
Did I run out of topic here ?
Nah… :p
back to being sensitive the way I am… it has brought more good to me than bad. Gotten me out of bad situations quicker. Avoided trouble to be near. and most of all , has been able to let me live my life to the fulfillment everyday brings! :)
moreover, it has pushed away self-conceited buggers away , shielded loved ones from the waves of “confidence-man” acts and blasted a verbal nuke upon disrespectful fools.
So to whoever in such a situation…don’t fall prey. Don’t self-victimise…
