DMD S3 Midpoint Random Thoughts:
This season is really reminding me of His Man (an actual dating show) with all the letter writing and the drama. It’s definitely making this season entertaining.
If I were staying in that house I would instantly become friends with Porsche. Not just because we’re practically the same age but also because he seems to know all the tea (RyujinPatji drama, NorthOtto drama, even the little PungNamping crush situation lol). I know he’s not having much luck on the partner front, but I do adore how much everyone seems to adore him (even if it’s in a brotherly way).
I love to see all the cameos from the other DMD artists. Seems very focused on Gen 3 cameos this season though, I’m hoping that’s because all of Gen 4 is busy filming for their 2026 series 😬🙏🏽
I started watching this season for Pung but ngl I am having serious cuteness agression for Wave!
RyujinPatji are really serving the angst this season and I AM HERE FOR IT.
RyujinPatji - since they’re really focusing on their angst, I do think it’s pretty likely they’ll choose each other. I’m hoping the forced date (thanks Namping!) will bring to light what’s making Patji hesitate.
PungCopper/CopperPung - I am trying really hard not to get attached to them because Copper also seems interested I Fifa, but ep 3 really leaned hard on them and they were so cute!
NorthOtto - if Phupha was able to do friendship time initially, I think Otto would have chosen him for that and then chosen North for the dinner date, but because of the mixed up timing, it flipped. I do think Otto is leaning more towards North though, but I get that he doesn’t want to go all in on it just yet. Still, their date had insane chemistry, so it’s hard not to root for them.
Porsche - unless they add someone new to the next episode, I don’t think this season will give him a partner. Someone jokingly mentioned pairing him with Tommy though, and ngl I see the appeal.
Pete - leaning towards him not choosing anyone either due to his age/lack of experience. However, I will say that his and Fifa’s date appealed to me more than the PatjiFifa date, so I wouldn’t be too opposed to that coupling.
Fifa - honestly, poor boy seems incredibly overwhelmed by his apparent popularity. Not sure if I see him picking anyone. I’m waiting to see if any CopperFifa moments come out of the next episodes since that’s one of the main ship battles going on online. (Side note: if you’re too invested in a ship to the point of spamming the artists’ socials/arguing with other fans, please check yourself)
Wave - unfortunately not seeing much hope for Wave at this point. If North wasn’t head over heels for Otto, I would’ve liked to see NorthWave, but I have doubts on that happening. Luckily he’s young so he has time. Someone please send him a letter though!
Phupha - other than Otto, I haven’t seen him express much interest in anyone. Idk if he’s still as focused on Otto or if he has any others in mind. I’m not opposed to it though, I just think NorthOtto is more likely.
