Many Better Living droids, most noticeably and interestingly porn droids, began to take on a consciousness that over-powered their programming. They were often seen joining in with rebellious activities, such as illegal music shows and nightclubs, and standing up against SCARECROW soldiers for other droids. Some tried to leave the City, but outside soon ran out of electricity and burned up in the sun’s heat. Better Living designed a huge destruction droid in early 2021, to entirely cleanse the zones, but it too took on a consciousness of it’s own and after promising to save both the droids in the city and the rebels in the zones, it sacrificed itself into the zones to prevent doing any harm. There are many stories that circulated around the community about this huge droid, and many worshiped it as a god naming it ‘Destroya’ and claiming that one day it would ‘free them’ and allow them to survive outside the city with no electricity.
