By “egalitarian” logic, we shouldn’t have any movements that aim to help one specific social group. No black rights movements, no LGBT movements, no advocates for children or the elderly. After all, we ALL have problems. Shouldn’t we be working to help EVERYONE?

Teenagers and Oppression
Why is it that as a young teenager I have no say in today’s social structure? Adults with terrible ideas can be accepted (like Donald Trump or George Wallace). However if I have an idea that could rise societal standards up a googolplex of levels, I am stopped in the middle of my sentence. Even writing this I have a deep fear that my voice will not be heard. That due to my younger age, I am somehow an ignoramus that is doesn’t deserve to be heard.  Apparently I am not the only one who thinks this way. According to an article on the Huffington Post by Isabel Song, (A very talented writer in college at UC Berkley. She is 19. I know. Crazy right?) my views are shared that the millennial and Z generations (1981-after 2001) are dismissed as over privileged, ungrateful, technologically obsessed, and ignorant. Being born in the beginning of the Z generation, I am constantly bombarded with false claims not fitting my personality. Anyway, she brilliantly words her thoughts and addresses that elders and baby boomers wouldn’t not be pleased with a description of how their generation is the worst to ever come upon the. Earth. Back to what I was saying before, I am told stereotypes of my generation several times throughout not just my daily life but even on the internet. With the mass number of adults joining social media (Now I barely ever see people under age 30 in my feeds) the number of bickering about today’s youth increases tremendously. I nod up and down to these terrible accusations having to “Respect my elders.  I am being told that you kids are obsessed with your phones and you get them too early. Is this really the kid’s fault that they receive phones when they are five years old? The last time I checked, you had to be 14 to get a job. That isn’t exactly early. In conclusion I would want this message to reach everyone possible. We are the next generation. We are the future that will provide the new technology, literature, music and overall culture to not only America but the world. I do not mean to be a social justice warrior. They complain about everything and use very little logic. I use as much logic as possible an just have an issue with the oppression of teenagers and young adults. Equality is a right, right?

Hey guys. Anime is something Ive put on my hypothetical back burner. I watched the super mainstream ones like Naruto and bleach. They where good but I never seriously got into it. The least mainstream I’ve watched is Danna ga Nani o Itteiru ka Wakaranai Ken. And I just started tumblr. So please welcome me to your fandom with open arms.
