    arm reached out anyways to grab a tender touch to his fingertips.    now the manager was brought up  ,  heavy distaste still sticky in the back of her throat.    she doesn’t think she’ll ever grow a liking for that man.    ‘      no.      ‘    spoken coldly  ,  but she would tell him if he ever did.    she wouldn’t keep things from pink no matter how much disdain she held within boiling up.    that would be selfish  ,  and wasn’t love and care supposed to be free of selfishness  ?    ‘      but  i’m  sure  the  doctors  will  let  you  know.      ‘

    fingers twitched as he began to budge wanting to stop him and tell him to remain laying down  ,  but he was already sitting up.    ‘      i  know    …      ‘    the only spoke at the topic of how hectic marriage and their struggle to divorce.    she didn’t need pink to tell her twice the disgraceful motives of eleanor.    head began to hang in a curtain of dark locks as he went on.    even the mere thought of him not leaving that hospital made her stomach turn.    ‘      i  don’t  want  it.      ‘    she spoke muffled into her hand that rubbed tiredness from every shaded part.    ‘      we  can  discuss  this  when  you  get  out.    after  rehab.      ‘

          pink snuggled back against the pillow, one hand resting under his mess of hair and the other stretched out through the armrest of the hospital bed, as if to reach out of her. fingers y e a r n e d for her to grab his, but he only let his fall loosely to fiddle with the thin sheets. he didn’t want to talk about THAT . . . no  ,  he’d heard others speak of their experience . . . it would be complete cold turkey. ❛ was peter here earlier ? i asked him to grab a few little things for me ❜ he questioned, remembering he had yet to see him. of course, pink slept through most of the day, missing any visitors besides eleanor and connie.

    ‘      oh  ,  hush.      ‘    followed by the soothing hiss of wanting to quiet him and let him rest.    connie didn’t like the thought of someone  deserving  her.    she only thought of it being that she was there for them.    the mention of his ex wife only made a sigh drag on.    that reminded her of the pounding headache that had made its home in her head.    eyes cast down to the fingers picking at skin in her lap.    ‘      i  can’t  have  her  around  you  when  you’re  like  this.      ‘    but she didn’t say that she would keep eleanor from ever being around him afterwards.    connie was sure that he would continue trying to keep in contact with her.

          pink pushed the remainder of the thin blankets towards the edge of the bed and propped himself up more, a little groan escaping his lips as he relaxed his head against his hand. ❛ LEGALLY she’s my wife still . . . and n o w she doesn’t want that to change. you know, just in case i DON’T get out of here . . . she’s in it for the cash and even i know that. the cash , my guitars . . . and i’m sure she wouldn’t complain about whatever is left of the coke and pills. ❜ he fell back into his pillow, letting his eyes fluttered open and close slowly. ❛ peter’s tryin’ to get me to put it down in writing,  you know , signing my stuff over to YOU and harrison, and him, and . . .  ❜ he trailed off into a yawn, and pushed his hair out of his face, fingers running over his faint eyebrows that were slowly growing back. ❛ . . . ‘n don’t tell me you don’t want it, because you could at least put it towards college for harrison or whatever ❜
