funniest thing about horror games is when they're like "you can hide in here by the way :) why would you need to hide? don't even worry about it bro" and then you turn around and a fucked up guy is coming at you like this
Personally I hate AI because it uses slave labor, is killing the planet and is making people stupid, but that's just me. The soulless art aspect is just one little piece of my grander disdain.

We live in the dumbest, lamest cyberpunk dystopia possible.
So LA has been ā and continues to ā protest against ICE. These protests havenāt gotten any smaller or lost any momentum, but social media wasnāt reflecting it.
TikTok users, realizing that the platform/other social media are censoring/deleting/shadowbanning these protest videos, decided to find a workaround.
Theyāre calling it the LA Music Festival. Ice detention centers and other protest locations are āstages.ā The hottest band is Rage Against the Machine. āHereās what gear you should be bringing to stay safe at the LA Music Festival.ā
And it fucking worked.
TikTok has become a proving ground for a lot of new music, meaning lots of labels and organizations have lucrative deals with TikTok to promote their new artists and music festivals. So they absolutely cannot censor the words āmusic festivalā or train the algorithm to ignore it, or they risk endangering that very important revenue.
So now protest videos are flooding feeds again, but itās the LA 24/7 Music Festival. Truly an incredible timeline weāve landed in.
During the Civil Rights Movement of the 60s, radio broadcasts would refer to upcoming marches as "parties" and use other such euphemisms to sneak calls to organize past censors. For example, the Birmingham marches of 1963 were called "a field trip in the park with a luncheon".
This is, frankly, a timeless strategy, just done online.

Chronic illness tips: bedside essentials
Iāve found that, when youāre sick all the time and spend significant amounts of time in bed, itās important to have a few things within easy reach. So hereās a short list of things I keep right next to my bed.
Water bottle: Not much to say here. Hydration is important and having a water bottle right there makes it a lot easier.
Medications: Again, pretty obvious. I canāt stand up until ~30 minutes after I take my morning meds, so they need to be somewhere I can reach without standing up.
Snacks: I keep salty snacks on hand in case my blood pressure or blood sugar drops too low and I canāt get to the kitchen for food.
Trash can: For when you finish the snacks and donāt have the energy to get up and put away the wrapper. Or for nausea-related emergencies.
Lamp: This was a game-changer for me. Being able to turn on the lights from my bed means I donāt have to risk standing up and passing out or hurting myself every time I need to see something. Mornings are so much easier.
Phone charger: I also have an extension cord with 4 or so outlets next to my bed so if I need any other electronics I donāt have to worry about battery life.
Portable fan/space heater: The thermostat is in the hallway, and I live in a crappy apartment with poor climate control anyway. If I need to cool myself down quickly, it helps to have a fan within easy reach, and likewise for a heater.
Notepaper and pen/pencil: Brain fog means I forgot things all the time, so Iāve found it useful to have a designated place for writing stuff down that Iām likely to forget in 5 seconds. Like if I remember I need to add carrots to the grocery list.
Iāve found that having these items close on hand plays a major role in taking the edge off and saving a few precious drops of energy. Everyone is different, so this list may not work for everybody. But I think that an important part of managing chronic illness is setting up your space so you have easy access to things you need. Just having these few things on hand has significantly improved my energy levels and productivity, because they lower the energy barriers for accomplishing basic tasks like waking up, staying hydrated, and taking my meds.
