Hi hello, I’m Juniper, though Juni is just fine too.

I’ve been practicing for over a decade now, and my path has never fit neatly into one box. I'm a Hedgewitch who's been walking an eclectic path for 10+ years. I’m always learning, evolving, and always finding new ways to make magic in my everyday life.

This blog is where I share my practice, thoughts, studies, and the occasional of what feels like a crazy ramble.

At the center everything in my craft is Hekate, whom I have been devoted to for many years. I am devoted to, learning from, and working with her along with various other deities and spirits.

I share content through my YouTube channel, where I talk about witchcraft, spirituality, and life on the path in a more personal way.

Evergreen Sorcery Studio - June 2026 Newsletter

June has arrived, carrying movement, conversation, and an emotional turning point. With the Sun moving through Gemini before shifting into the nurturing waters of Cancer later in the month, this season invites us to explore, express, and then gently come back home to ourselves.

The shop is currently on a short hiatus until June 16th while I rest and reset after my trip with fresh energy.

I've been really focusing on decolonizing my practice, from conversation I've had within the community I've come to find out the terms Road Opening and Uncrossing actually originate in Hoodoo (also Rootwork and Conjure).

However, while I have not been able to find official sources for some of these conversations I've decided to just simply move away from those terms and reformulate my spells and products in my own heritages traditions.

Honestly, I don't see a real point in taking something that may belong in a different culture that I frankly have no part in. I'd rather apply things from my own heritage that I've been connecting with through ancestral veneration and reconnection work. Because why take when something else is waiting for me instead.

Just sharing my thoughts tonight, not shaming anyone as I've just wanted to ramble.

About Tykhe

"TYKHE (Tyche) was the goddess of fortune, chance, providence and fate. She was usually honoured in a more favourable light as Eutykhia (Eutychia), goddess of good fortune, luck, success and prosperity.

Tykhe was depicted with a variety of attributes--holding a rudder, she was conceived as the divinity guiding and conducting the affairs of the world, and in this respect she was called one of the Moirai (Moirae, Fates); with a ball she represented the varying unsteadiness of fortune, unsteady and capable of rolling in any direction; with Ploutos (Plutus) or the cornucopia, she was the symbol of the plentiful gifts of fortune.

Nemesis (Fair Distribution) was cautiously regarded as the downside of Tykhe, one who provided a check on extravagant favours conferred by fortune. The pair were often depicted as companions in Greek vase painting. Tykhe Eutykhia has helped me in many ways regarding simple luck and finances, while she at times works in more subtle ways, at times she will surprise you with answering half hearted, jokey prayers like getting a reward in a video game or finding money on the ground when you're out and about.

I worship her Epithet as Eutykhia (Eutychia) for things such as good fortune and prosperity, she has a main hand on my abundance altar and business. I deeply recommend building a relationship with her, especially in times as hard as these, as we can all use a little bit of luck.

Business Blessing Ritual with Tykhe Eutykhia

I do not share my full ritual for personal reasons.

This spell was crafted to boost finances within my business, positive luck, sales and reach. I worked with Tykhe Eutykhia for this personal ritual as I felt called to request of her for aid.

I am merely sharing ideas on how to build off of for your own personal gain, we all deserve to get that coin. I like to combine luck, prosperity, abundance and protection. After all, it's one thing to draw abundance toward your business, but it's another to ensure those blessings remain secure.

This ritual intention is ideal for:

Attracting aligned customers

Increasing sales and steady income

Expanding social media reach and visibility

Opening doors to fortunate opportunities

Protecting finances from loss, scams, and waste

Guarding against envy and energetic interference

Ritual Steps

Cleanse yourself and your space.

Dress your candle with prosperity or anointing oil.

Sprinkle prosperity powder or herbs (optional) around the candle.

Place any crystals and symbolism, along with taglocks.

Place your sigil beneath the candle holder (or on the side of the candle).

Present offerings to Tyke Eutykhia.

Light the candle.

Read the petition aloud three times.

Place petition under candle holder (or again, off to the side).

Visualize your business thriving:

This is the time to raise your energy for your working, you may borrow from outside sources but always remember to return some. It's just good manners. Remember to anchor your working and energy together, very important.

Remember to get rid of that excess energy on you and tie it like a knot towards your working. Send it off and do a little shake off dance if you need to, choice is yours.

Spell Removal Basics - Also Touching On Backfiring and Curse Removal

Keep in mind, these are my opinions you are welcome to your own.

Spell backfiring and curses is one of those topics that gets dramatized a lot, and honestly, most of it is unnecessary fear.

Spell removal is the act of removing unwanted energy, influence, or magical work so it no longer affects you.

Not every bout of bad luck, exhaustion, or emotional heaviness is the result of someone working against you. Life happens. Energy fluctuates. Your nervous system gets overwhelmed. Jumping straight to “I’ve been hexed” will do more harm than good or thinking your spell backfired.

But when something feels off in a persistent, patterned way, when you’ve grounded, ruled out the mundane, and it’s still clinging, that’s when you start looking at removal work.

What curse removal / spell removal can look like in practice:

Start with the physical.

– Clean your space properly, floors, surfaces, garbage, corners – Open windows, move stagnant air – Remove anything that feels off, broken, or heavy

Then move into intentional energetic clearing:

– Take a cleansing bath or shower with the focus of releasing anything that isn’t yours – Use smoke, sound or other smokeless methods to break up lingering energy (move slowly, be thorough) – Work with simple, clear phrases: “I release what is not mine. This is my space, my law.”

You can layer in an uncrossing:

– Wash your hands, feet, or body downward (removing and sending away) – Visualize or feel everything unwanted moving off of you, not into you, not around you, off – Dispose of any remnants intentionally (down the drain, out the door, away from your space. However, if this includes salt be careful not to salt the earth as it can ruin the ground and plant life. A good rule of thumb is not to dump most outside for this reason.)

If something still feels present after that, you can add a layer of boundary or reversal:

– Use reflective tools or symbolism (mirrors, water, etc) – Use a baneful protection if necessary for the situation, new wards with this built in are fantastic – Turning an anointed candle upside down and carving the bottom, reversing the spell with intention

Only use reversals on those casted upon you, would be silly to cast on a backfire as you'd just hit yourself once again.

Now, on Spell Backfires

What people call “backfiring” is usually this:

– Unclear intention → you get a messy or confusing result – Conflicted desire → part of you wants it, part of you resists it – Desperation or obsession → the energy becomes chaotic and unfocused – Ignoring reality → real-world consequences show up and get blamed on the spell – Forcing misalignment → you push for something that simply isn’t viable

Magic amplifies direction. If the direction is unclear, scattered, or forced, the result reflects that.

There’s also this idea that any baneful or heavy work will automatically “come back” to you. That depends entirely on your belief system and the framework you practice within. Some traditions operate that way, some don’t.

Fear based practice will make you second guess everything, try to trust yourself more and your ability within your craft.

The important part is to remember have:

– Strong protections where you can catch things sort of like a web – Keep your space maintained to the best of your ability, totally get if this is hard for many reasons – Check your intentions before you act, not after. Sometimes sleeping on something, also doing a pros and cons list is deeply helpful.

Allspice - The Mundane and Magical 101

In honour of my Youtube short on Allspice

Allspice is often mistaken as a blend of spices, Allspice is actually a single berry with a complex scent reminiscent of clove, cinnamon, and nutmeg all at once.

It is rich, grounding, and full of layered energy, something you may come to understand more deeply if you choose to work with it as a plant ally.

Scientific Name: Pimenta dioica

Family: Myrtaceae

Parts Used: Dried berries

Planet: Jupiter

Element: Fire

CAUTIONS: ALWAYS consult a qualified healthcare professional before consuming herbs medicinally. While Allspice is commonly used in food, concentrated use (such as essential oils or large internal doses) may not be appropriate for everyone. Avoid excessive consumption and be cautious if pregnant, sensitive to spices, or managing certain health conditions.

IMPORTANT: Allspice essential oil is highly concentrated and should not be applied directly to the skin without proper dilution. Always research proper usage and safety guidelines.

Uses in Herbalism and Everyday Life:

Allspice is widely used as a culinary spice across many cultures, particularly in Caribbean cuisine. It has traditionally been used to support digestion, ease mild discomfort, and warm the body.

It is commonly found in teas, infused syrups, baked goods, spice blends, and seasonal dishes. Its warming nature makes it especially popular in colder months.

Uses in Magic:

Allspice can be added to sachets, oils, candles, or charm bags, or used symbolically in ritual blends.

Energetic & Symbolic Notes:

This is a spice of warmth, movement, and expansion. It carries an energy that feels active rather than passive, something that supports forward momentum.

If you work with it as a spirit, you may find themes of confidence, growth, boldness, and taking up space emerging in your practice.

Recipes:

Allspice Tea (Simple Infusion) Lightly crush 2–3 allspice berries and steep in hot water for 10–15 minutes. Strain and enjoy warm.

Warm Prosperity Blend (Non-Ingestible) Combine whole allspice, cinnamon, bay leaf, and a written intention in a small jar or sachet to symbolize growth and opportunity.

Spiced Honey Syrup Gently warm honey with allspice, cinnamon, and orange peel. Strain and use in drinks or desserts.

About Evergreen Sorcery Studio Witch Shop

Evergreen Sorcery Studio began as a dream to support fellow magical practitioners while sharing the craft that has guided me for years. As someone living with chronic illness, I often found myself returning to spirituality in deeper, more meaningful ways. Through many challenges and devotion as magic became both my refuge and purpose.

I’ve been handcrafting my own ritual goods and weaving intention into everything I create for a long time. What began as personal practice slowly grew into something more. Friends asked for custom blends, strangers connected with my work. I realized this was no longer just a private passion as I was building something very real for myself and others.

Every item you’ll find here is handcrafted in small batches from my little witchy workspace and altar in beautiful British Columbia, Canada. Oils, powders, ritual soaps and other esoteric goods are created with care during specific planetary and alchemical timings, using dried botanicals, quality oils, and thoughtfully sourced organic materials whenever possible while always staying cruelty free.

Everything I make comes from slow, deliberate practice, created to support your path, strengthen intention, and help you feel more connected to your goals.

My shop is eclectic because my practice is eclectic, and I believe there should be a little something here for every kind of practitioner.

As someone who has been on the Internet longer than many of you have been alive, I cannot emphasise enough what a good idea it is to block fools, bores, and drama-starters ON SIGHT. That means, on the FIRST sight. See the take, do not wait.

You are not a court of law. You are not required to hear them out, argue, nor give them a second chance. Block them. Nothing bad will happen to them without you! It's fine! Goodbye forever! Prevention is better than cure.

Just wanted to yap that I'm so excited I found some really good biodegradable packaging.

I also found biodegradable kraft mailers for smaller items, however...I do have my concerns that if I put my veils in there and if it gets wet? Or if other items get damaged.

We know what happens to paper but I also have an option for biodegradable "plastic" that you can compost that I can use for a polymailer and place a recycled cardboard box inside.

I'm trying to consult some people on this decision, just witchy shop activities ✨

– Unclear intention → you get a messy or confusing result – Conflicted desire → part of you wants it, part of you resists it – Desperation or obsession → the energy becomes chaotic and unfocused – Ignoring reality → real-world consequences show up and get blamed on the spell – Forcing misalignment → you push for something that simply isn’t viable

Magic amplifies direction. If the direction is unclear, scattered, or forced, the result reflects that.

There’s also this idea that any baneful or heavy work will automatically “come back” to you. That depends entirely on your belief system and the framework you practice within. Some traditions operate that way, some don’t.

Fear based practice will make you second guess everything, try to trust yourself more and your ability within your craft.

The important part is to remember have:

– Strong protections where you can catch things sort of like a web – Keep your space maintained to the best of your ability, totally get if this is hard for many reasons – Check your intentions before you act, not after. Sometimes sleeping on something, also doing a pros and cons list is deeply helpful.
