I figured I'd get a bit of everything for this since, well for one it's my first time doing a request and for two, to be completely honest, I know NOTHING about Recoil. So- some stuff I made and the rest is bits I fished up from Recoil's old websites on the wayback machine (under the cut)!

Happy 19th anniversary of the release of Recoil's last studio album, SubHuman! A record unlike any other even within the scope of Recoil, an underappreciated gem even in our little corner of Alan fans, and most of all a masterclass in electronic music production and genre blending. The deluxe CD+DVD edition is still possible my favourite item in my record collection.

The weather was absolutely perfect on this morning, so we could see everything very clearly...

Today marks 26 years since the release of Liquid, the album that introduced me to Recoil and which remains close to my heart like few albums do, or perhaps none at all.

Thank you Alan, Hep, PK, Reto Bühler, Nicole Blackman, Samantha Coerbell, Diamanda Galás, Rosa Torras and everyone else who made this happen - for an experience like no other.

I got really afraid. My heart missed a beat. I felt this had already happened, but I was about to see it again...

A long time ago, an old Recoil fansite produced a short video to share the fact that Alan was spotted on backstage footage in a Madonna documentary from 1991, and for whatever reason they decided to edit it just like a Bigfoot sighting video. I don't know why, but I am eternally glad they did.
