happy 67th birthday alan wilder 馃挋
An extraordinarily happy birthday to the one and only Boss! 67th birthday would have been a terrific opportunity to release a comeback Recoil album, but alas...
Eu amo Killing Joke <3
It's a double feature today - happy 29th birthday to Ultra and 34th birthday to Bloodline!
"Which Flash games site did you visit most often as a kid?" is possibly the single most important character question I can ask any newly met person
Alan in the studio producing Songs of Faith and Devotion while the others went out partying
watched Devotional for the first time with @blackbox-baddreams @vronicavalentine and another friend to celebrate SOFAD's anniversary today, gif is related of course
We counted five ass shakes by Dave. Five.
Happy 26th anniversary, Liquid <3
The weather was absolutely perfect on this morning, so we could see everything very clearly...
Today marks 26 years since the release of Liquid, the album that introduced me to Recoil and which remains close to my heart like few albums do, or perhaps none at all.
Thank you Alan, Hep, PK, Reto B眉hler, Nicole Blackman, Samantha Coerbell, Diamanda Gal谩s, Rosa Torras and everyone else who made this happen - for an experience like no other.
I got really afraid. My heart missed a beat. I felt this had already happened, but I was about to see it again...
I was talking with @lusciousapparatus about the emotional load of Home (from Ultra), some unique phrases were used and this gif is the end result
Happy 40th birthday, Black Celebration! What's everyone's favourite song off of it? 馃憖

A long time ago, an old Recoil fansite produced a short video to share the fact that Alan was spotted on backstage footage in a Madonna documentary from 1991, and for whatever reason they decided to edit it just like a Bigfoot sighting video. I don't know why, but I am eternally glad they did.
I find it quite funny that when Alan was commissioned to compose an intro theme for a historical documentary TV series in 1999, the lazy bum just rearranged some snippets from Breath Control which was probably already complete at that time
somebody asked him about it way back when he was answering strangers' questions on the internet, here's what he had to say about the process:

hello all 4 recoil fans, we finally have another person in the community who is arguably the biggest recoil fan of all time 馃憖
@blackbox-baddreams !!
I'm so happy they finally have tumblr... my pleading has paid off lmao
Hello everyone... I'll try to be active on here for longer than a week, and maybe-just-maybe share something actually interesting every once in a while...
And thank you to @lusciousapparatus for the promo, obviously!
It is quite funny to me that despite how cinematic Recoil sounds, the only outside media any Recoil songs have ever been officially licensed for are two video games, both about driving. Alan must like his cars...
