the final exams were specifically tailored so that while each set of kids was fighting a powerful pro hero, they were fighting in an environment that would be overtly advantageous to the kids and disadvantageous to the heroes. this was intentionally done by aizawa, though without telling the kids in order to make them work harder. however, this implies that aizawa specifically targeted mic’s fear of bugs because besides his phobia of insects, the area was fitting to him, just as any other arena would’ve been. it also seems to imply that aizawa did not tell mic that the goal was for the kids to exploit his bug fear, given that mic was very convinced he would win and nearly did. in this essay i will explain how aizawa played the long-con game of payback and waited 15 years to get back at mic for apparently yelling in his ear when he fell asleep in school and why this means that aizawa is actually a petty bitch.
