Like it’s not advocating for a fucking gender war to say this is clearly an issue and when you let shit like ‘kill all men’ run wild and use excuse after excuse to dismiss any shred of intersectionality or grace you are left with transgender women and trans fem individuals who are making targeted violent posts about trans men

Like at some point we cannot turn a blind eye to this shit, these people and the people who make space for them are shielded by the trans community more than the people they fantasize about murdering

my mother was born while MLK was still marching, I was raised by an interracial couple in the south, I grew up a mean looking stud and now im a trans black man and people will say ‘oh why are you so angry?’

I am fucking BEGGING transmascs (and everyone else) to not let the animosity of a VERY SMALL GROUP of very online transfems impact how you interact with transfems or think about transfems.

please, please, please remember that this "hating transmascs" and "kill all TMEs" bullshit is just a few edgy weirdos on the internet who enjoy saying inflammatory things for shock value.

transfems are not your enemy, and YES, you do actually need to unlearn transmisogyny. Not because you're transmasc, but because we live in a transmisogynistic society.

transfems are not a hivemind, there's no broader transfem consensus that transmascs are Evil Privileged Abusers, but the small group of people who think that way WANT you to believe that they are representative of trans women everywhere. they're super not. they really are just a handful of angsty people online looking for someone to pick on.

all trans people have more commonalities than differences. there aren't two distinct species of trans people from two different planets, there are just trans people with a wide diversity of experiences and walks of life. we are all affected by the same systems of oppression.

find community and mutual support with transfems. build solidarity and have conversations about how we can help each other. the only way we all get through this shit is together.

my favorite thing is when black trans children are receiving racist harassment on social media because there will always be a white queer to say “uh dummy just put down your phone and breathe it’s so easy”

“For fucks sake interact with your whole community” when you’re not white that becomes three times more difficult because most of y’all do not have even a basic grasp on intersectionality and still view trans women and trans men as the counterparts to cis women and cis men with a 1:1 oppression ratio

I thought I had blocked them but ironically this was a pretty good example of malgendering for people unfamiliar.

It’s also reminiscent of a lot of posts surrounding trans men, and responses to trans men who speak up for dedicated space in conversations that concern them (abortion access, birth control, medical bias, etc)
