like clearly the setup is next season eddie is going to (magically) find his love interest and his sl will focus on that. and buck is going to just date around and focus more on his friendship with ravi since eddie will have a new partner/coparent. because you literally cannot sustain the dynamic buddie has rn and add love interests to the mix, the “competition” of it all proved that. so they are just going to separate them as much as possible so that people will stfu about it lmao

i actually just need to scream into the void about 911 because it is actually so diabolical

the fact that they apparently chose to “address Buddie head on” is literally insane and so fucking unnecessary. the buddie of it all in ep 11 (and tbh, 9&10) absolutely did not need to exist. im sorry, did you want buddie shippers to watch that episode and go “ahh, guess it’s over then” and then like stop watching the show or smth?? it was not necessary to bring it up in canon, shippers would’ve still watched and continued shipping them either way. all you did was heavily suggest that storyline was a possibility, and then act like it never happened.

outside of the truly deluded shippers (love yall down 🫶🏽) no one actually thinks they’re going canon and yet they’re STILL watching. however, believe it or not, people are less likely to watch your show if you canonically clown the fandom. nothing will make me understand why they didn’t just continue to ignore it. if the options were to either act like buddies are crazy and making shit up or queerbait an audience? yeah go ahead and just let me continue to ship in peace.

and i need everyone and their mother on that goddam cast and crew to stop saying “look if that’s where the story takes them…” girl you know damn well the story is not taking them nowhere 😭 i will watch 911 because i like the show (ravi main season 9 🤞🏽) but i want them to stop with the buddie of it all. stop using them as promo, stop referring to them as co-parents, stop giving them extremely emotionally charged scenes?? like you’re telling me Eddie Diaz was in that kitchen begging buck to be emotionally vulnerable with him (in a way he never does with any other character mind you) and then next season what he’s apparently gonna just start dating some random ass woman? i need you to bffr

it is very clear to me that they have no intentions of making buddie canon - which alright whatever fine!! but stoppppp talking about it then. it’s fucking weird atp. stop giving them love interests that they only have for a season and then break up. i do not understand why poor buck is still single after 8 entire seasons. eddie will always have chris, but buck has literally no one to go home to still and oh yeah you just needlessly killed his father figure.

narratively, this may have been one of the worst seasons of television i have ever seen lol
