Marauders x Greek Mythology
Sirius Black and Marlene McKinnon as Hades and Persephone
The God of the underworld has been escaping the underground these days quite often. His brother, the God of shadows and dark, has found it in him to be of use lately. Sirius, taking the form of a wild beast with a very lavish fur, walked among the fields of flowers claimed by no other than the Goddess of harvest and agriculture, resting under the shadows of an elm tree.Â
There, amongst the smell of pollen and flowers that tickled his nose, and the breeze that cuddled his fur, his eyes rested on the carelessly charming daughter of the Goddess of harvest. She shared the mesmerizing field– that Sirius could only dream to see in the underground– with her mother.
Marlene.Â
Marlene passed her afternoons near the elm tree, taking care of her own little garden.
After Marlene had noticed the strangely huge black dog, he had been invited to be apart of her routine.
Sirius found himself escaping the realm of the dead, and joining Marlene in her gardening in his dog form until dawn.Â
Marlene was a strange Goddess. She had her mothers beauty. Slightly tanned skin with white short hair, cherry lips, and piercing big brown eyes. She treated Sirius with wine -the Lord of the underworld had no idea why she would treat dogs with wine-, from the help he did in the garden, and he was also privileged to have the gift of Marlene liking very much to talk to dogs.Â
It took Marlene a full moon cycle to know that the dog she had been carrying around was none other than the Lord of The Dead.Â
While Sirius had waited for the woman to come, he had fallen asleep.
A graze of freezing to touch fingertips woke him up, and suddenly Sirius found himself face to face with her.Â
“It’s you!” she let out a breath.Â
Sirius snapped his head down, noticing that he was in his human form. He looked down on his gray-ish hands, and black clothing, cursing at them. “I have to go–”
“Wait–”
Marlene grabbed his wrist, “Why are you going?”
“Well, somehow has to see that the dead won’t lose their way,” Sirius replied, “my realm can be quite difficult to navigate. A lot of right turns.”
Marlene snorted and lifted her eyebrows, “I didn’t know that helping the dead find their road was the God of underworld’s duty–”
“Of co–”
“-besides, if they haven’t lost their way so far they will be alright, won’t they?” Marlene grinned.Â
Sirius looked down on Marlene’s grin, and up to her dilated brown eyes. “You’re not scared of me?”Â
Realization seemed to hit the woman's eyes, “I would be, Lord of Dead,” she beamed, “if I hadn’t taken care of a drunken dog that seemed to be you, no? Not two suns before? I’m afraid I've passed being scared of you.”
“Oh,” Sirius chuckled. “Well, I suppose you’re right.” Sirius finally relaxed his shoulders, and leaned on the tree, deciding that he might not leave yet.Â
“Does it scare you?” Marlene asked.Â
Sirius lifted an eyebrow, amused. It had been a long time since someone asked him of fear. “What?”
“That I’m not afraid of you?” Marlene leaned on the tree as well, looking down on her garden.Â
Sirius grinned. “No. Not at all.”
Hi, do you still write drabbles? Could you write about Sirius and Marlene? Whatever. I love your writings. I'm glad you're back
"No I'm not going." Sirius could hear the punctuation in Marlene's voice but rolled his eyes anyway. His hands were currently holding hers, trying to get her up while she insisted on laying back on the bed of their tiny one-bedroom apartment.
"Yes, you are. You wanted to in the first place remember. I said I thought it was a bad idea and you said-"
"I know what I said, I don't need some man to remind me of my own words."
Defeated, he let go of her and sat next to her. "Marls-"
"No."
"Okay." He laid back, propping his elbows under him, blowing away some stray hairs that fell into his face.
"What the fuck, you're not even going to try and make me go when you know I want to?"
There was no winning for Sirius, he could see that now. "I want to do whatever you want to do."
"Well, I don't know what I want."
Preferably he would have replied with 'I can see that' and then left without her, but he wasn't quote that stupid. So instead, he paused to think for a minute then proposed his own idea to her. "Option one, we go meet Lily and James for the double date you planned at that overly cheesy muggle restaurant. Or option two is that we stay here and have sex."
She turned on him, eyebrows pulled together in doubt. "Those are the only two options?" His own eyebrow cocked, and the left side of his lips twitched into a smirk that he knew Marlene had a soft spot for. Marlene let out the loudest sigh she could before announcing, "Well get out of bed already, we're going to be late!"
"Great, let's go." Sirius jumped back up, and extended his hand to Marlene, hoping she would forget that she hated the dress she was wearing from the back, because she thought it made her 'back look too square' whatever the hell that meant. Marlene took his hand, and he pulled her up, kissing softly her on the lips once she was at his height. "I love you."
"I know, I know," she waved him away playfully and within minutes they had shoes on and were out the door. Sirius silently thanked whatever Wizarding Gods were looking out for him that 20 weeks into pregnancy, Marlene hadn't murdered him yet.

Blackinnon Texts
untitled # 1
It was impossible not to notice.
First time Marlene spots the boy is on the platform 9 Âľ. A lot of people do actually, to be precise, it is the presence of his parents that, all of a sudden, commands the atmosphere in their 50-meter radius. All of them clad in black, their faces proud, expressionless, something that is akin to the faces of Greek statues she saw in some of the Muggle books her mom keeps in their bookcase at home. The faces smoothened into perfection after hundreds of years of all kinds of weather conditions. The elements didn’t make them more relatable by chipping away tiny parts of them, no, they made their faces hard, their eyes lacking the emotion the master sculptor put into them originally. Likewise, it is impossible to say what these people are thinking, but somehow their glassy looks are telling nevertheless. Marlene shivers. Â
The boy’s eyes though, his eyes are different.

For @conchitamendez, I hope this is passionate enough and my fading to black game isn't too weak in the end

Plot: Marlene and Sirius are friends with benefits, but one of their encounters turns out to be more intimate than usual
Rating: Explicit (but there’s a little plot in my smut so 🤷🏼‍♀️)
Words: 1993
The sixth’ years free periods weren’t hours of blissful relaxation as the Marauders had suggested when they first saw their schedule, but times in which to attempt to keep up with the vast amount of homework they were being set. Not only were they studying as though they had exams every day, but the lessons themselves had become more demanding than ever before, to the point Marlene barely understood half of what Professor McGonagall said and even James, who was a pro in the subject, had to ask her to repeat instructions once or twice. To soothe the panic running wild in the magical community, nonverbal spells were now taught not only in Defence Against the Dark Arts but in Charms and Transfiguration as well, and every time Marlene looked over at her classmates in the common room or at mealtimes, she often saw them purple in the face and straining. Their only solace was the time spent into the greenhouses, and although they were dealing with more dangerous plants than ever in Herbology, at least they were still allowed to swear loudly if the Venomous Tentacula seized them unexpectedly from behind. One result of their enormous workload and the frantic hours of practicing was that Sirius and Marlene’s relief encounters became a nearly daily affair. All it took was a look or a nod, and the two would retreat to an empty and secluded closet they’d discovered more or less halfway through the previous year to release some tension. The smell wasn’t the best, and the lighting was almost nil, leading to ridiculous shenanigans, but it was a place of their own, where no one could hear them nor would look for support and suggestions from their already drained minds.
Marlene Mckinnon in her Hogwarts days
Christmas surprise
Hiya! Hope you enjoy this short one-shot, thought there was too little Blackinnon content on here lately. You can find it also on Ao3 and Fanfiction.net, my username is in my bio! (English is not my first language, I’m sorry for the possible mistakes)
"Kids off to bed!" Despite having slept for three hours, Marlene had to admire her boyfriend's energy. He had worked the whole night — one drawback of being an Auror. He did not have a say on his shifts... especially if he didn't want any cut to his wage, which was the last thing they needed at the moment. He had arrived home in the early morning and succeeded in getting some rest before the kids woke their parents up, anxious to open their Christmas presents.
Marlene smiled at him and asked him to help her pick up the gifts' wrappings that the children had dropped on the floor earlier that day. "Do you think the children were happy?" They did have money, it was not that, but they struggled sometimes. Surely their children's gifts paled compared to the pile Harry received each year, spoiled by rich parents and grandparents. Thankfully, the little Blacks had a fair share of biological and non-biological uncles and aunties that came to help.

Blackinnon Fest 2023 is here! This year it's 30 prompts for the 30 days of April! I'll do my best to get them all up before May. :P Check out the @blackinnonfest blog for a list of all the prompts and other stories too!
Day 1 - "If one day I decided to leave, would you run away with me?”
Bide
Sirius kicked at the rocks beneath his feet, not caring if anyone heard or saw him walking the Black Lake's shore at half past midnight.
It was all so stupid. People were dying out there, and somehow he and his mates were supposed to care about classes? He shook his head, and kicked at the rocks again.
Someone swore in the darkness.
"Watch it!"
Sirius grinned. He knew that voice.
"Wotcher, McKinnon."
