Soutaro takes a quick look at his butt then to the girl. "... Um Thanks?" He then goes back to what he was doing.

"No one pays him any attention after his first song though. Let the old man have his fun. His only source of fun besides calling me a kid,"

"That is true. I guess everyone will find their own fun while Yellow hogs the mic. I think Silver would try and take the mic or go off to play pool. White would Karate chop her way into her turn. Don’t know what Red would do. You and me would probably be thinking of ways to make the cart better."

"That or Silver would take us to another hot spring. That was fun. And much needed. Actually that doesn’t sound so bad. Maybe on our second date we could go there again."

"Yeah. I wouldn’t mind another trip to a hot spring. Those are great after a long shift." Soutarou was already in the mind set for the hot spring. "That would be a nice second date."

The food came and Kai began to eat. “So good but nothing beats Tetom’s cooking. She’ll definitely have to cook at that party I am sure the others will throw. Actually, I can’t wait but I will if you want to. When do you want to tell the others?"

Soutarou dug into his food as well. "Yeah her food is better." He though about when they should tell the others. "Whenever you feel like it Kai. I am fine no matter what."

Kai smiled over their similar choices. They often squabbled but deep down their thoughts were somewhat identical. The other knowing just what to say when one is down. “So how is the Chanko shop? I know I haven’t been involved much lately but I needed to do something else for a while. A shark has got to roam the seas."

"It’s doing fine. It gets busy from time to time with all the people liking it, but it does get boring when I am the only one running it. The shop at leasts gives me the freedom to roam around Japan."

"As bison’s should." Kai laughed. “I’m sorry though. I will be back soon. If not tomorrow. Now that we are like this I don’t know how long I can stay away from you."

"I wouldn’t know what to do with myself if you stayed away for too long." Soutaou smiled at Kai. “I am glad that we are together." Soutarou then remembered something. “I wonder how the team will react to us dating?"

"Yellow would want to have a karaoke party but that is his answer to everything. I don’t think they would care though. The bad things are floating in the back of my mind but I know we have been through to much as a team for them to have negative reactions. We’d just end up having a party."

"That is all very true. Although Yellow needs to cool it on the Karaoke parties. He always hogs the mic when we do one."

“Yeah. Its starting to get cold out. Plus I’m starving.” Kai turned walking back up the trail to the main road. He stopped and looked back into Soutarou’s face and giggled. Somehow the vision of him gave him warmth.

Soutaro looked at Kai with a smile. “Good to know. Let’s get something to eat.” Soutarou walked over to Kai and grabbed his hand. He thought Kai was so cute when he giggled.

The two walked hand in hand to the restaurant. It wasn’t anything fancy but Kai was sure the both of them would enjoy the place. They were led to a booth closer to the back. The place wasn’t crowded but their were others around. If anyone stared Kai wouldn’t care. He was here with someone he cared way to much for to even think of anyone else. 

Looking over the menu Kai had decided on chicken. Waving the waitress  over he ordered his food.

As Kai was ordering his food, Soutarou was having a bit of trouble trying to see what he wanted. He stayed away from the beef and fish for certain reasons. Since there was no other option he went for one of their chicken dishes.

“Yeah. Its starting to get cold out. Plus I’m starving.” Kai turned walking back up the trail to the main road. He stopped and looked back into Soutarou’s face and giggled. Somehow the vision of him gave him warmth.

“That’s why you’re the best.” Kai said wrapping his arms fully around the Iron Bison. “I don’t think of you any less, you know that right? I just need more moments like this.”

“Yes I do know that Kai. Plus I will wait forever until you are ready to say it” Soutarou rubbed his face in Kai’s hair smelling the ocean on him.

“It won’t take that long. I promise you that.” He smiled wide.

"Good to know." Soutarou lifted his head. "Shall we go now?"

Kai almost fell on the spot. His knees began to quiver as he felt the world come crashing down in the positive of ways. It shattered his reality. Something he had fantasized was now happening. It felt nothing like his dreams. It was many times better. The strength behind his touch the softness it possessed. It was if the fighting the orgs and caring for delicate flowers all had lead up to this moment and Kai felt it was special. Like Soutarou was in a way, made for him. “I think I… like…” He paused himself. He didn’t think the words would be hard to say but they got caught. He didn’t feel it any less but he guessed that it would take time. More times like this.

Feeling Kai about to fall Soutarou wrapped his arms around Kai's waist keeping him up. He was in heaven when he was kissing Kai. He had wanted to do this for a long time but was to afraid to, but now here he was kissing the love of his life. Seeing Kai hesitate on telling him how he feels Soutarou just gently hugged Kai. "It's alright Kai, take your time. I can wait until you feel ready." Soutarou then kissed the top of Kai's head showing that he didn't mind waiting.

“As the warm light transitioned into a cool night the moon began to shine across the lake. It’s radiance danced across their faces. Moving his head slightly Kai looked up into the face of his best friend, his soul mate. The freckles of luminance igniting the color in his eyes and in that moment he had never looked so beautiful. “Soutarou.” He whispered as he gently rose to his toes. Closer and closer his heart guided him as he closed his eyes.

Soutarou turned his head to Kai when he heard him call. Seein that the moon was bathing them in a soft lighting he noticed Kai looked amazing in the moon light. Soutarou saw that Kai was leaning closer to him and closed his eyes. Feeling himself lean down to Kai's level he closed his eyes and captured Kai's lips with his own. The kiss felt magical to him. He was so glad that he had done this with Kai.

“Hey if I’m a kid then you are my little brother! No wait! That would be weird.” Kai rubbed the side of his head with his free hand as if he erased the thought from his head. “Anyway, here it is. Right on time." The burning orange light glistened across the water as it made a pathway towards their feet. The sun set at it throne of trees in the distance before it went to sleep. Kai scooted closer to Soutarou and rested his head on his shoulder. “This is perfect.”

Soutarou shook his head as Kai though of Black as a younger brother. "That makes no sense, Kai." As the sun set Soutarou felt at peace with the world around him. Seeing Kai scoot closer to him Soutarou put an arm around Kai's should leaning his head on top of Kai's. "Yeah."
