Lucien is black.
Lucien is biracialĀ and the only one who even figured thatĀ out was Feyre.
For 400+ years Prythian knew him as Beronās son, though their hint at his true lineage should have been theĀ ātanned redheadā part (speaking as the daughter of a redhead, I know they only have 2 settings: pale and burnt).
Rhysand, Cassian, Azriel, Mor- they love gossip and have known Helion for centuries (it sounds like theyāre all at least casual friends). Still, it was FeyreĀ who figured out heās Helionās son, meaning physically there is no indication beyond the (impossible) tan.
Now, if they make an ACOTAR TV show or movie, I would actually like to see them make BeronĀ black and Helion white, because then they would cast a black Lucien and the beginning of ACOTAR wouldnāt be so white (while ACOMAF did a wonderful job of upping diversity in Prythian, ACOTAR was white on white).Ā Helion is relatively small in the series compared to Lucien (at least, so far) and it would be a nice way to diversify the core cast from the very beginning, even though I do prefer the image of Helion as a black man.Ā
But I digress: Lucien is biracial, and since the gossip whores (aka Inner Circle) didnāt figure out he was Helionās son, that says to me that physically he does look white.
Lucienās nose, smile (mouth), and voice are all the same as Helionās. Meaning he likely has more of a Nubian nose, fuller lips, and a deeper voice.
