Im going to say it poly ships don't "solve" love triangles.

Its funny meme or thought when taken to its logical conclusion it does not work.

Poly works for people (In my experience)who don't have jealousy or that that strong of a attachment to their partner. (usally in the case of those who have attachment issues) If we are talking about a love triangle then usually that will never the case.

Like, its fine if you are okay with OOC. Have your cake and eat it too. For me its way too complex to be boiled down to that.

Yuu Genetics

Ive discussed this before to varying degrees on how the Yuu's biology works.

The Triplets are a prime example of their Trojan horse genes. Having children can quickly reveal unstable genetics code they can carry.

Appearance

While most Denizens (Yuus) you will see are human in appearance, none of them are human. They are closer to other demi human races. It is theorized that they are similar to cuckoo birds, mimicking their host families to have an easier time blending in. Their physical traits never seeming too out of the norm but if you look too closely you will find something you shouldn't. Extra teeth, appendages, pupil shapes, birthmarks other defects you would otherwise overlook. They can even blend in with beastmen and merfolk, becoming almost indistinguishable with the right traits.

Biology

Denizens have a additional chromosome to their human counterparts as well that don't act the same way they would in normal humans. Some have called this the "Masking" trait or the "Denizen's gift".

It is nether classified as a x or Y nor does it effect gender though some would say it should classify a new gender identification. It is classified as the Z chromosome and it hides a cluster of traits that makes a Denizen a Denizen. It codes for their physical alterations but more importantly it contains their "talent". They are genetically predisposed to have this knowledge implanted into them. It answers the question on if knowledge can be genetic. The Z chromosome codes for habits as well.

Most importantly the Z chromosome contains memories, sort of. When a large about of stress it put onto a Denizen system like a near death experience their minds will search for anything that can save them. When this happens they can find memories of their previous lives. This is called an awakening and its is considered the most painful experience a Denizen can have. Its similar to a leopard gecko losing its tail as they don't grow back. The dropping of a tail is not always rational and it is instinctual. The same goes to Awakenings as they are not conscious choice.

The Awakening is considered a memetic plague but in reality it does not spread from contact. Denizens will ousted an awakened from their community traditionally thus creating more fear of it among the masses. Said stress and worry can cause more awakenings. Thus it is a self fulfilling prophecy rather then a sickness.

The Z chromosome also has the Trojan genes. They mask the Denizen's DNA to look more ordinary. This masking also protects the Denizen from being revealed for what they are.

Medically Denizens require healthcare different from the average Twisted Wonderland resident. Magic based medical care is ineffective and culturally they rely on herbal medicines. That being said they are more resistant to toxins and physical injury to the point they have higher then average strength.

Breeding

Due to the Denizen's extra chromosome they have a hard time interbreeding with humans. They have a very low fertility rate but with Beastmen and Merfolk they have a average fertility as their extra traits lap. This causes the offspring to take after the other parent more. They call this Breeding True as the Denizen's traits can often be nonexistent at first glance when intermingling with nonhumans. If they were to breed with a faefolk the child would be 100% fae and not half fae as their biology would be absent of any human dna and just copy the fae parent. Rather then making a clone of the other parent however the child's traits would be taken from the Z chromosome. This is where the Trojan genes come into play. There is no telling what mutations the child will have.

A child with a lion beastmen could easily turn into a tiger beastmen child. A child with a human could bear a child with antenna or jewels in their eyes. There is no telling what could result.

Denizen children could be sought after for these mutations the rarer they are.

Some belive that the child can inherit part of the Z chromosome that contains talents but results are inconsistent.
