This might not be your area of expertise, but I've been watching love game in eastern fantasy and am OBSESSED with Esther Yu's hair in it. Do you know if these styles are based on or inspired by any real historical hairstyles? Or are they just xianxia creativity haha?

Thank you for sending in your question! I took a look at the hairstyles for this show and did a quick compilation:

So it looks most of the hairstyles she has is centre-parted with some small loops on each side, decorated with small flowers and some strands/braids trailing down.

When I searched for a dynasty this show was set in, officially it's "jiakong" (not based in an actual time period) but some fans have spotted hints of Tang/Song.

This sort of hairstyle would likely be a mish-mash of several different styles put together:

Centre-parted hair with some sort of bun or small loops on either side is a style that was common in several dynasties, but used for very young girls or servants. So the character designer(s) definitely took inspiration from history, but added their own touch to it :)

did a random dnd quiz that reminded me of my anadi oracle taz so i decided to update her. the spider form should be the size of a person but since this probably isn't a popular class, i didn't really expect the species list to include a spider at all.

taz is an occult librarian with the wasting curse. it makes her more resistant to diseases and makes certain attacks stronger(i think, but didn't really play her that long). but every time she uses a curse spell/move she decays a little more.

the second screenshot is from the Moonlight Peaks demo. She's an elderly woman so I go with white hair whenever it's an option. But I also realized most of the characters for Project Rot don't have hairstyles since they wear veils or hoods, so I really am just going on vibes.

The cat, who orders you around, is named after her twin *Eudocia because that's absolutely cannon.

i've written 245 words over the last three days.... but i am trying to challenge myself to get a few words down, at least, for 30 days.

that's not a hard deadline though. just needed a push to get this short story done by next monday. here are two characters from the story made as paladins in diablo iv. wanted to try out the paladin even though i don't normally like melee classes. it's more like a ranged class in this though. mainly used a two-handed sword, so i don't know what the hammer is like.
