Reading The Long Walk now and, oh my gosh, I know it probably wasn't intended that way but it really reads like Pete just immediately got a crush on Ray while Ray's just in his own world. They've barely spoken and Pete is blowing kisses at him and implying he's not tired simply because Ray is around. Pete, my guy, chill. I mean, ig you gotta find a reason to keep going but still, you've exchanged like seven sentences with this guy. Calm down.

Meanwhile Ray is mildly dissociative already which definitely spells great things.

Fingon <3 going into hell and when he can't find his boy Maedhros he starts a little tune on his harp.
