Everytime I see an artist in one of the latam artist alleys selling Q merch, I feel like angels actively lose their wings.
I would have so much to say about it, but the impression I got is that the hispanic community is not ready to discuss what happened in 2024 ever.
Like, I remember clearly how one of the hispanic ex-admins who, very early on, was no longer part of the team, was putting the blame on the victims, and I think that played a huge part of how the hispanic community at the time, as the majority collective, went ''yeah it's not that big of a deal, those people are just exaggerating and the very famous streamers never did anything wrong in their lives, the blame is on other people entirely.''
And it makes me so so frustrated.
Last week, during my art workshop, I heard how one of the kids was very excitedly talking about her favorite streamers and mentioned Q, and I never felt such a strong need to shut my mouth, because I don't think the kid would get the amount of weight of what happened actually has and means for those affected.
I think a lot of people are out of the loop and I haven't seen the information being distributed in spanish, unless I missed it.
I mean, even with the information, a lot of people who speak english, still wanted to disregard it because 'my streamer cannot do anything bad and you are the bad person for accusing him of something' or they claim the streamer did something to make up for the mistakes, when those actions never happened. This is the only reason I have not offered myself to translate it if there's not a spanish version of the collection of events yet, because my faith on people, specially the hispanic community of MCYT, is not that high-
