The biggest betrayal a girl can experience is seeing her little brother become homophobic and misogynistic. I will never recover from that.
If anyone loves dark academia victorian gothic then this movie is just for you. Honestly one of the most unique movies I have seen and it has been recently revived with great quality.

I know we all know this but I just wish I could show the world, the kindness and compassion of Palestinian men. Everyone talks about women and children because thats how we can win the sympathy of the western world unfortunately. but no one names the fathers and brothers and husbands who watched their dreams and their families shattered. I wish I could show the world that these men aren't violent just because they're muslim or arab.
Massive fuck you to everyone who is talking about Palestinians as if weâre already all dead and sharing more solidarity with our corpses than us living. âWe will never forget the beautiful Palestinian people-â how about you stop âmaking peaceâ with Palestinian extermination. My people are not going to be forgotten because we are going to live. Palestinians have already survived one genocide and have been surviving one ever since.
Do not ever let the idea that all Palestinians are going to die exist in your mind. Mourn the dead, fight like hell for the living.
There is still hope. Say it out loud. Palestine will be free. The Palestinian people will celebrate their culture and heritage with each other. We will love and be loved. Do not fall into the trap of despair.

I'm reading about how Israel, in the immediate aftermath of the 1948 Nakba, deliberately replaced olive trees and other indigenous flora with European plants. This ecological disaster, which is now proudly hailed under the banner of 'making the desert bloom,' was done to 'de-Arabize' the landscape, and to cover up - often with fast-growing European pine trees -the ruins of Palestinian villages that were destroyed by Zionists forces.
And I just need everyone to read this passage from Pappé, because the symbolism of what happened to those European pine trees in the desert speaks for itself:
The Ethnic Cleansing of Palestine, by Ilan Pappé (2006, p. 227-228.)
This is beautiful symbolism.

hey neil!!
the historical flashbacks are some of my favorite scenes in season 1 and season 2 of good omens, so i was wondering if there were any time periods youâd really like to portray aziraphale and crowley in that you havenât already???
Quite a few. Ones that we had planned as possible for Season 2 (that either didn't get written or didn't get filmed) included a Wild West one, a 15th century Papal one, an Arabian Nights one, and a 1960s American one with Crowley and Aziraphale female presenting. And we have the whole of human history as a canvas. But for now the ones you've got are all.
« 60s American where theyâre female presenting » had me on my KNEES.
hi!! So I heard somewhere crowley and azi were originally 1 character? Is that true? Do you know anything about it??
Hiya! :) Oh yes they were! :) I recommend you this post :).
Terry took the 5,000 words, and rewrote them, calling me to tell me what he was doing and what he was planning to do. The biggest thing he was going to do, he told me, was split the hapless demon into two characters - a would-be-cool demon in dark glasses (which was, I think, a Terryâs way of making fun of me, a never-actually-cool journalist in dark glasses) who had renamed himself Crowley, and a rare-book dealer and angel called Aziraphale, who would embody all the English awkwardness that either of us could concieve.Â
Michael Sheen said at the Southbank Event 2019 that he feels that Crowley and Aziraphale are two parts of one soul that is trying to get back together :).
