Esmeralda/Phoebus/Quasimodo OT3 Headcanons

Quasi fell first, Phoebus fell hardest
seriously, have you seen the way Phoebus looks at Esmeralda? Bro would stare at Esme and Quasi with hearts in his eyes
But Quasi wouldn't get it and think that Phoebus is jealous in some way and keep his distance
Meanwhile Phoebus is having a crisis right next to him
That man would stareTM until Esmeralda asks him about it. He confesses that he likes Quasi too and she's kinda confused but vibes with it. She used to have butterflies around both of them too but decided to go with Phoebus because she felt like Quasi needed some more time to be ready for a relationship. But as she thinks about it, she comes to the conclusion that she still likes both.
Esmeralda deals with it the easiest. "So I like these two men, and these two men like me. What's a poor girl to do? Date both!"
Esmeralda and Phoebus do social stuff together like going to the market or taverns.
Quasi and Phoebus love to leave town and walk through nature, climb trees or go swimming. They also enjoy climbing on rooftops together.
- Esme and Quasi do a lot of creative stuff together. He teaches her how to make wooden figured. She teaches him how to dance. There's lots of talking- Quasi loves to talk about his knowledge of history of the Bible and he will passionately ramble about it without realizing (Esmeralda loves it)
- The three of them enjoy a picnic on the roof of Notre Dame, stargazing, talking about everything for hours while drinking wine.
Sleeping arrangements vary:
They can't always sleep together. Esmeralda still mainly lives with her people and doesn't want to give that up. She stays over a couple times a week.
There used to be platonic cuddles in the beginning, which turned less platonic over time.
Since their relationship changed, its mostly Phoebus and Quasi sharing a bed.
When Esmeralda's over, she's usually in the middle since both of her partners want to enjoy the rare occasion of her in their bed.
Quasi can't sleep on his back so spooning is their most common way to sleep.
All three struggle with nightmares at some point. When Esmeralda goes through phases like that, she tends to sleep at Notre Dame or one of her partners will visit her.
Quasi composes music on the bells for his lovers. He sometimes plays one of his pieces when he misses them and Esmeralda and Phoebus will hear it from wherever they are and think of him, too.
Esmeralda and Phoebus are really into Quasi's physical strength. He carries them around the cathedral sometimes- or throws them in the air
One time, Quasi and Phoebus need to babysit Djali. They will never do that again.
Phoebus dislikes the idea of becoming a soldier again, especially after Esmeralda tells him stories about her experiences with soldiers. After so much war, he'd rather do honest work that doesn't involve violence
He's strongly traumatized by the war and Esmeralda didn't get to see the full damage of it up until a while into the relationship
They have to keep their relationship a secret. They are friends to the public and it's safer that way. Although there are all kinds of rumors going on, ranging from harmless town gossip to deeply racist ideas. Somehow nobody catches on the romance between Phoebus and Quasi. The three had to find a way to deal with it.
The only people who know about the relationship are the gargoyles and Clopin (he knows everything, I mean he turned Quasi's tragic life story into a puppet play)
Quasi has a crisis because he likes men. He is also really surprised when he learns that Phoebus has had love affairs with men in the military (I mean come on, he fucked men for sure, he was in the military for god knows how many years)
Phoebus is fucking chill. Like, least jealous guy ever. Like "my wife really loves this other guy, good for her. They look hot together anyway"
Esmeralda is very confident but she still appreciates when her partners reassure her after she heard a nasty comment on the street.
Esmeralda and Phoebus can and will protect Quasi from mean people. You made a comment? Prepare to suffer.
Their relationship works because they have different, yet matching dynamics

Phoebus is really quick at picking up signs, he seems to know at least a couple of languages but he struggles with the syntax
Meanwhile Esmeralda tends to forget signs but she has a good feeling for the language and knows how to express herself with her (yet) limited knowledge
Figuring out how to manage being intimate was pretty difficult (they couldn't just ask other people). That left them with having to experiment.
Quasimodo struggled with sexual stuff at first for various reasons. For one, he was raised by the incel-king Frollo himself, so sex was generally frowned upon. It took him a long time to unlearn that. Then, he is scared that his partners think he's unattractive and are repulsed by him. So it took him a long time to be comfortable with being intimate but his partners happily waited until he was ready.
Esmeralda and Phoebus make sure to make Quasimodo feel wanted.

actually works. Quasi tends to forget about everything else during sex and just feels so normal
When it comes to sex, Phoebus is really chill. And a voyeur. Sometimes he will just watch his partners get each other off, which in return also gets him off. Esmeralda teases him about that a lot.
Lots of teasing. Especially between Esmeralda and Phoebus. Quasi enjoys listening to it but it takes some time for him to build up the confidence to tease and let himself be teased
