This is going to sound harsh, but many the reason, the deeper reason, Dani felt so hurt over you giving of your flight form is because, well… You did make a big deal over her flying another helicopter and then later over her possibly taking that job on the mainland. I know you came around in the end but still

She stayed. You left.

Left for cybertron, left your form, left your partner.

She’s probably hurt that after giving something that meant so much to her for someone that meant even more, that someone goes away and makes drastic changes that affects their dynamic in an irreversible way. I’m sorry for assuming, but I sounds like you didn’t even tell her beforehand.

Look, in the end, I wholeheartedly believe you’re justified in your decisions. It is YOUR body after all. But maybe she’s a little justified too.

There was a rumor that you were a gestalt along some other bots outside of Sigma 17, is that true?

It isn't, but I can tell you where it came from! There was another rescue team, a really famous one, that had a copter named Blades on it, and the five of them were able to form a gestalt named Defensor.

...That's about all we had in common, though.

Wait, did you give up your copter mode completely or are you a quadruple changer now? (Ground, flight, primal, and bot?)

No copter. Honestly, I think I could have 100 modes and I'd want them all to be grounders, and that's one of the things Dani and I argued about...she didn't understand why I couldn't have wheels and still fly with her. But it was never about that.

I have one vehicle mode for working and driving around and I've swapped out the pterodactyl for a couple of different things. Right now I'm trying out a new primal mode and I like it.

What's Dani's new partner like?

I don't know. I just know her name is Windshear and that she's blue and white.

Thank you. It still hurts, and I guess it always will. Everyone else is watching their human partners get older, bringing them here to show them what we've done with Cybertron, and it's this really beautiful thing...I don't get to have that with Dani. I don't have that with anyone.

Sometimes I think back to how Heatwave and Kade used to hardly be able to stand each other, and how they went their separate ways too, but Heatwave still bridges down to Earth to visit and play with Kade's kids. Meanwhile, Dani and I were so close, and we haven't spoken in years. I just sit there and wonder, how does that happen?

Taylor who was turned into a frog for a minute? Oh Primus, he and Dani broke up years ago. I have no idea where he is now. I don't even know if Dani knows.

Nothing happened...not really. After we lost Optimus, Heatwave and I decided to go home to Cybertron, and that really hurt her. And then she found out I changed my alt-mode, and that hurt her, which really hurt me that it hurt her. And then there were a whole bunch of other things...

She's got a new partner now, one who loves to fly as much as she does, and I'm happy for them, but sometimes I still wonder just what it was that she wanted...a partner, a copter, or someone who did whatever she told them to?

Graham got married, Kade and Hayley have a baby, and I saved a little Predacon hatchling from a cave in so now they don't sit at the border and laugh at me whenever I drive by.
