The dancer’s gaze trailed down, thoughts of failure && disappointment clouding her mind ❛ Is it not obvious, Rhaast? ❜ she asked, blinking a bit before turning her gaze back up ❛ I couldn’t even come on time for... for such a special day for loved ones... ❜ she replied, gazing into his eyes.
She truly wished she could’ve been there, spending the day alongside him, hugging && embracing him, perhaps settling down for a nice lunch or dinner by the lake... she felt true agony in knowing she missed, no - forgot it. But at the very least, her lovers caring tone muffled out her inner demons once more.
She offered him the tiniest of smiles once more, as she leaned in, embracing him ❛ Sometimes I truly wonder how I got someone like you... as well as how you are even still with me. ❜
I don't want to be alone anymore II drabble featuring @dcathdefied ‘s Rhaast.

She lies awake in her bed - an unhealthy but usual tradition for the dancer. Another night forced to spend alone - to suffer alone. Once more her mind was traveling places darker than the void itself, deeper into the hellish place that cursed her being.
Once again, an unhealthy but usual tradition for the dancer.
But this night was different. She was not whaling on her past - those she harmed, those who she stole from others. She was thinking of him. She wished he would come to her, embrace her in her arms so she can forget her sins && crimes for even a minute. Staring up at the ceiling of her tent, remaining almost dangerously still to the point she could easily be mistaken for a corpse.
She wished he would return to her this night, even if for only a moment.
But then, like a newly grown flower, an unusual thought passed her mind. She always waits for his return, sitting at her tent nearly torturing herself to endure the lonely times. Why does she always wait... when she could be the one to go to him.
The thought was wild, but she did not care. Anything would be better than this endless loneliness. Slowly rising from her bed, putting her feet to the ground, she looked towards the door. Deep inside her, worry began growing. What if he’s coming && she will not be there to answer? What would he think? That she abandoned him?
The thought scared her very being.
But she realized he could be out there, wishing he could be with her at this very moment, craving for her embrace. Craving for the almost surreal high they both get when they embrace each other. For those times they think not of their past, but only of the present.
She has made up her mind. This time... she will go out to find him. Muttering only one phrase to herself over && over:
❛ I don’t want to be alone anymore ❜
She raised herself from her bed, stepping out of her tent && looking up at the sky. If there was a maiden she could turn to, it would be the moon && her lovely stars. Choosing her way she set foot, into the familiar forest she surrounds herself with. This, by no means, will be an easy journey. The path to him could take days for all she knows. But for him, no time was not worth the reward. She would see him after all, that in itself is the blessing she desires most.
The air around her was cold, as she walked past the large trees, slowly crossing large fields, in which her tired eyes never once wandered off to glare at the beauty. She was focused on one thing && one thing only. Finding him... finding Rhaast.
She took these paths many times before, she was in no way lost. The only thing she had an eye out was movement, her ears listening closely for any sounds of movement. So far, there was none of both. Silence. To her, for once, that was not what she wanted.
Her legs might have started to ache, but her will was too strong. Using whatever strength she has, she will push herself forward until her goal is completed.
She had completely lost her track of time, ‘till, in the distance, she saw the sun slowly rise from beyond the horizon. She had been walking for hours on end, never stopping once. Her determination was too strong to stop.
She came across a small village, one she knew from when she was younger. Small but lovely place. It was strange that, for it being such early morning, people seemed... rushed by something. Panic has been spread across the place, children holding onto their mothers' wrists as they flee.
As much as her heart told her to go on, she needed to see. Even if it is not her quest, she needs to see what has caused such a panic.
Her heart skipped a beat when she saw him there, holding one man up with his arm, staring him into his soul. Few others laid beside him, the dancer recognized the familiar outfits. They were assassins, she presumed he was ambushed.
But the fallen corpses mattered not to her, she stood there, looking at him - it did not take long for him to notice her as well.
Both stood there in cold dead silence - as if they’ve both seen a ghost. Irelia took a step forward, one arm slowly stretching out to him, she prayed this was real, not an illusion played on her by her mind. She saw him drop the assassin, following the same motion she gave him. Step by step, they approached each other, until they felt the touch of their hands finally meeting.
Both of them internally screamed joy, realizing this was no illusion.
Slowly, she fell into his embrace, as he embraced her gently as well. At that moment, nor he or the dancer could care if anyone was present to watch. They were merely happy they are together again, reunited after what feels like a lifetime apart.
The dancer looked up at him, a rare, truly joyful smile present on her lips, uttering out only one, small request:
She stands before him in silence, oddly enticed by the larger figure she's observing. He seemed to share some features she's seen before... on someone very dear to her. She looks up at him, a strange wonder in her eyes ❛ You seem so familiar... as if I've seen someone like you... ❜
for once he had decided to sit down , muscles tense with the ache and pain of his entire being - armored legs presenting violet bruises and deep cuts in parts where the armor had broke but it was nothing compared to the sizzling of his flesh every waking moment ; wings membranes crackles as they stretch out of his back , disgusting sounds alike crushed bones. the world ender leans forward , limbs stretched in front of him - eyes concentrated upon the ground before he feels a presence daring to approach. hellish eyes glare upwards , alabaster pupils wide with an anger he always keeps and black lips parting to reveal abnormally sharp teeth - he growls , sinister , at the intruder.
‘ what is that you speak of , human? alike me? you have met a DARKIN and LIVED? ‘
his voice was strained , fatigued - but wrathful , as if close to leap at the woman to tear her apart.
She remained watching in silence, staring down the obviously taller creature. He was so alike him, give or take some height difference. Then when she heard him speak, she saw it clearly. Darkin... yes that was what he was. A Darkin!! The word itself made her think of him, oh how she wished he was here. Unfortunately, they were apart once again. What a cruel world it is indeed.
But she had no time to remain on the loving, warm thoughts of him, instead, she focused more on the words the stranger was speaking - in a tone not so polite.
❛ Yes, I have indeed... ❜ she said, the smallest of smiles present on her face from the thought of Rhaast alone ❛ He goes by the name of Rhaast. ❜
Rhaast - the name alone made her heart skip beats. Normally that would be worrying, but for him, every pain was worth it. She remembered him speak of there being others... though she never envisioned she’d actually meet them. Slowly - but surely - she began being consumed by the thought of Rhaast being there with them, though she quickly woke up back in the real world, shaking her head a bit to clear her mind.
She looked the stranger in the eyes, eyes still filled with some wander ❛ You... know who Rhaast is? ❜ she asked curious.
Once again the dancer found herself standing before a corpse, one she desperately hoped she could prevent. It was another assassin, trying to claim her life. She wished she could shrug these deaths off as nothing but small, dust specks but unfortunately, they felt more like metal weights, each death adding more && more weight on her shoulders.
She couldn’t tell how long she had before she collapses from the weight.
She walked over to the corpse, bowing down to it, giving her own small share of respect. Hopefully, they’ll find peace where they have gone now. Her bloodied blades flew around her, lightly shaking as she shivers, tears slowly running down her face. Oh, what she wouldn’t give to have a day where she would not feel miserable or have to stain her blades. Day by day her suffering truly never weakens.
It was then she heard something, almost like footsteps approaching her. Another assassination attempt? She rose back to her feet, wiping away the few tears she had left to show, before looking off into the dark, going off into a more neutral stance, one she could easily defend herself in if harm truly was approaching.
❛ Who approaches from the dark? ❜ she asked out, voice ever so slightly shaky. It was hard to cover up emotions, especially when you’re always boiling with them.
She stood by the shore, eyes gazing off at the sea. What used to be a place she could see nothing but joy, now only remains a memory of ships, those tyrants approaching their shores on their hellish ships. What she would give that she could forget all the tragedy, all the pain that followed those hellish vents, all the suffering she is forced to endure now. She collapsed on her knees in thought, her blades falling down, impaling themselves in the sand one by one.
She could barely keep it together, but she shook herself awake again, looking up. That’s when she saw him. A figure in the waters, watching her, at least, that is what she thought it was. She moved a tad closer, observing the waters
❛ Hello? ❜ she asked, steeping ever so slightly in the waters to get a better view. The night sky made it a bit harder to see in the waters, even if it was just near the shore.
She wandered aimlessly through the woods, mind not where it should be. It was another one of those days, where she could not escape the ghosts of her past haunting her. Where she could not drown out their screams. She couldn’t concentrate, her mind baffled, she didn’t even know where she was going. Traveling aimlessly, until she’d either get it together or pass out. An unhealthy lifestyle, yes, but sadly one she must live.
It was only she could get it together when in midst of where she thought she’d be alone, she heard someone - or something move. Without hesitation, her mind jumped to the worst assumptions, as it could’ve easily been another assassin trying to claim her life. Her blades elegantly floating behind her, she was ready for the worst.
❛ Reveal yourself, stranger, ❜ she spoke out into the wild. Perhaps she hasn’t heard anything at all, perhaps she was just deceived by her own mind. But then again, better to be safe than to be sorry.
She always admired the night sky, the sky filled with beautiful shining stars, burning bright above them. When she was younger, it was always a fun evening activity. Now it is common for her to do so when she could not sleep. To nobodies surprise... it sadly became too common for her to barely even enjoy it. She rested there, on his back, watching up at the sky as they moved through nature, blinking a bit as she finally got it together, looking forwards
❛ Do you ever wonder what’s up there... ❜ she asks, diverting her eyes from the stars to him ❛ ...When I was young I always wanted to fly high across the skies, moving through the stars... ❜ she let out a small, almost sad chuckle, hands gently gripping onto him ❛ I suppose this is a perfectly good compromise... I never thought something like this would be so enjoyable... but I suppose that the reason it is so pleasant is because you’re here with me, ❜ she smiled at him, the silence slowly growing as she finally manages to mutter out some words
❛ It’s nights like these that keep me from the dark thoughts... I suppose that is also thanks to you... thank you... for being in my life. ❜
She knows not what to do this day, mind clouded once again with dark thoughts, sending her to places which she truly did not wish to visit, especially with her there. She couldn’t keep her mind from the sad thoughts, how she’s probably a burden to everyone close to her, how she’s not worth the care she receives from them. And she... she has an even bigger reason not to like her, after all the horrible things she’s done to her. Yet she’s the one to stand by her most true && almost proud. The dancer almost saw it as foolish.
She leans into the Voidborn, leaning her head on her arm as she lets out a small, depressing sigh ❛ What did I do to make you stay... You could be with so many better people... yet you chose to stay with me... ❜
consider this a starter call bc I’m bored && kinda wanna write? so give this a <3 && I’ll see what my smol brain can come up with. It’ll be probs around a medium length idk.
he sits next to her & places a flower in her hand.
A moment of awe, wonder && love was present in her eyes as she saw him again. She has waited eagerly for him to show up once more, desperate even. To see him, approaching, so calmly && gently, felt like heaven was truly on earth as her senses filled up with excitement. Oh how she missed him, she’d give her being just to see him for a moment longer.
But deep down she knows, no matter how many times he leaves, he always returns to her. At least, that’s the reality that she wishes was real.
She looks at him taking a seat next to her, eyes shining with love. However, his next move was unexpected.
A flower, small, delicate - but pretty nonetheless. She looks at the flower, bringing it closer to her nose, taking a nice whiff. Even when torn off it still had a pleasant scent on it. She looks at it with a joyful smile, something possibly very rare for the dancer, as she lets the smile grow, as her eyes move to look at him.
