this is my only blog so you’re getting all of it here. mostly glee, especially blaine, kurt, quinn, and klaine but TBH i’m fond of the most of the cast / characters and post abt pretty much everyone. blaine is my fave always <3

i’ve been in the glee fandom for over a decade at this point so unfortunately i do live here but i sometimes post abt musical theatre / archie comics / my life etccc

Every time I watch Glee, I keep waiting for Kurt to be annoying so I can understand why people always hate on him and I've come to the conclusion that y'all are just mean.

that being said watching blaine’s reaction to kurt auditioning is so interesting? his smile is so telling — it looks both genuine and uncomfortable? and honestly i think that’s bc he really does see how talented kurt is, and that he also knows the council isn’t gonna pick him this time.

THAT being said, i do think an underrated and very sweet aspect of early klaine is how much blaine just like?? very readily joins kurt’s world? like when kurt joins dalton he’s also good about inviting kurt into his world.

but like… it starts with blaine coming to mckinley to confront karofsky, and from there, he just? is so Around? like kurt makes a point of saying blaine asked Him to hang out, not the other way around, and got them tickets to rent. he goes to dinner with kurt and one of his other friends and tries to engage with mercedes! he goes to their championship game and a party with kids from another school, who he mostly doesn’t know very well! just like… even as a friend, blaine is so willing to both reach out/initiate things with kurt, but also be part of kurt’s world and not expect kurt to just come to him and be in his?

and it’s easy to see, tbh, how kurt might interpret that as romantic interest, but it’s also just like. Good Friend Shit.

the other side of this that’s interesting to me though is that?? blaine is SO open and ready to have kurt as a new friend when we don’t really get a sense of whether he’s particularly close with anyone at dalton? he says they’re his friends in season 3, and i think he means it, but when we see them interact in season two, it doesn’t?? really seem like he’s super close or hangs out with anyone else?

and honestly that probably comes down to blaine not Totally being a character in his own right yet. but it honestly kind of tracks with my read of him? like he, at this point, is not very emotionally honest with a lot of people. so my personal headcanon in that regard is blaine’s very “liked by everyone, known by few” at dalton. like people are nice to him!! it’s not bad there!! but people don’t really Know him - and i don’t think he means for that to happen? he puts on a front of knowing what he’s doing but the end result is people, like, buy it a little too well, so there’s always this barrier. but blaine is SUCH a people oriented person and then kurt shows up and needs a friend and is vulnerable with him and he shares like, the slightest amount of vulnerability back, and he’s just? a very ride or die friend from that point on? (until it turns into something else)

In a perfect world the warblers would’ve gotten their own spin off and Blaine would’ve never left Dalton. Kurt stayed a bit longer at Dalton for like at least the entire first season of the spin off and later Sebastian came along and we got to find out more about warbler like Nick, Jeff, Thad, etc
