Do you think RWBY stuff is coming out this year? My bet is 2027. Early stages in development last year means they've only just started. Viz ain't an animation studio so maybe they're still shopping around for one to take on volume 10. That or they're just gonna release a manga or comic. Also Happy New Year!

honestly? No.

i'd be surprised if they forget about RWBY completely. Viz isn't a production studio so they're not gonna make the show. Kerry is still clinging to the idea of doing vol 10 but i think he needs to realize the show is probably done. the fandom is gone, the only people left are the shills, and honestly, why would you *ever* cater to them? they're the ones who got the show cancelled and killed the vibes.

if they release anything it'll be a redub-rerelease of vol 1-9 with Viz VAs like Sailor moon 90's.

it annoys me when they throw around the term heteronormative as if its a actual criticism of a ship. ( I recall seeing people on Twitter going a straight ship so good its queer as if the genders involved ina a ship has any basis on its writing.

it annoys me when I see bb shippers try and downplay Blake and suns relationship claiming there was no mutual attraction between them or claiming it was just shallow and lacked what renora and arkos had trying to equate bb to renora and arkos

on freezerburn they have a fire and ice motif while blake and sun are shadow and light ( sun representing the light part of the sun while yang is the fire) we can still have the reconciliation scene for blake and yang take place in the ever after storm but it will be a like a sister to me type thing ( and yangs issues with blake will stay around in atlas arc and the fact sun was able to help blake alongside the fact blake in this scenario tried to defend ozpin in the sense that she showed sympathy to him like instead of saying she will protect you

Blake brings up ozpin and that they should have been more symapthetic to ozpin ( she would bring up how she feels sun would have shown more sympathy to ozpin in that he would see the horrible stuff that he saw and correlate it to the infinite man story /understand his hesitance with telling people secrets /the horror of what he had seen ozpin experience would over weight the impact of the truth and he wouldnt get angry at ozpin)

this causes yang to be annoyed because of the comparison

) while in this case I would do lancaster ( we wont have him be ozpins vessel in this scenario

I personally think that Canon Yang deserves to die alone, but lol. Canon Weiss is too good for her. or anyone else for that matter, so I'm not a fan of freezerburn.

I would like to see Blake have some sort of post-crisis clarity and realize the ever-after was a mistake, and reject Yang. similar to how Renora breaks up with Nora suddenly realizing that after pining after Ren's ass for nearly 10 years, it's "too soon".

Yang would go red-eyes and probably get pissed at Blake again, leading to Weiss lecturing her about cornering Blake into that situation, and Ruby just giving her an extremely dirty look because she hates the gais and Yang is a bad sister. (jk only about the first part. Yang is the worst sister of the year.)

Blake would then gradually start avoiding Yang, and gravitate towards spending time with Sun, or involving herself in whatever plot line he gets involved in, spending some more time away from RWY in reflection of making hurried, irrational choices that she would normally never make if she (hadn't had an offscreen lobotomy) wasn't in this incredbly pressured situation with Yang.

Yang would be unhappy but who cares about her? lol.

I'm partial to freezer burn but if Yang were to go with a guy I always thought that Yang and Sage looked wonderful together aesthetically. Too bad Sage has almost no screentime or personality and the poor dude got no focus in the book either. Though I always imagined him as the tall, dark, handsome, strong and silent type. Something I'm sure is right up Yang's alley, well pre-volume 4 Yang anyway.

that side is so desperate to erase that yang used to wolf whistle at shirtless guys, and that in chibi, she wanted to see the boys showering. but i haven't forgotten that.

Sage would be a good match for Yang, i think. it seems like his personality was probably similar to hers. strength based tank on both teams.

So apparently Kerry announced two weeks ago that RWBY volume 10 is deep into early planning and writing. So presumably the volume will come out some time next year if they also found an animation team too. It's been so long I've moved on from RWBY but I'm not going to lie I'm still curious how it's going to turn out since they sort of wrote themselves into a corner in volume 9.

idk why kerry is still trying to push, he's been talking about continuing rwby since RT shut down. he said on the livestream that he was still trying to work on it.

if he hadn't given half the money for the budget of vol 9 to warner/DC we wouldn't have had this problem in the first place.

it would be better if the show stayed dead, since the fandom is pretty dead now, but the only thing that could redeem vol 10 is if they throw the bees away and write it off as a mistake.

but they're too afraid of being screamed at to do that.

It annoys me when people say changing rwby so black sun happens would require changing Blake and yangs entire characters saying they were designed around each other

you can even look at the prototype designs and see how different they are.

Blake had a way healthier, more functional dynamic with Sun, and could've stayed with him in Menagerie for the rest of her life and been perfectly happy with her monke dork. Yang has no bearing on who Blake was supposed to be.

NGL If Viz chose to reboot RWBY I'd watch it. But only if none of the canon romances have carried over from old RWBY and the girls are getting a fresh start. I know it's unlikely but I want to believe blacksun gets to become canon in a new RWBY.

I would just like RWBY to stay dead so the shills can continue to cry forever

Korra took the initiative to knowingly break up Mako's relationship with Asami and take her place only to later ditch Mako and claim Asami for herself. The girls (but mainly Korra) end up looking like manipulative unfaithful harpies and Mako a indecisive emasculated fool who turned both his girlfriends gay. A messy love triangle ending with all 3 participants looking awful.
