man when someone starts at their conclusion anything can be twisted into supporting evidence

yeah to go with the above yeah if they succeed it will just damage the characters and the writing of the story. forcing a ship just damages the story for them and the other charactres

Yeah, I was about to say, uh wasn’t this moment her gawking at the BOYS not Blake?

In fact right after she DOES meet Blake in this scene, and sees she’s more interested in her book than making friends YANG scoffs and says she’s “a lost cause”.

Meanwhile it’s RUBY who stayed and tried to befriend Blake on common ground of loving books.

I’d say this scene was more LADYBUG than Bumblebee because of that. But of course it was not a shipping moment AT ALL, but hopefully you understand what I mean.

The funniest part is that I know multiple people who do like Bumbleby who actually believe that Yang fell in love a while after this scene. But according to this person, they are still homophobic. Not because they don't like the ship, but because they interpret the "wrong" moment where a character discovers their feelings for the first time.

IF that ends up airing, probably not. This was a blacksun specific blog and while I know the shippers are still out there, the content has dwindled and I've stopped producing any myself.

Will you never draw Blake and Sun together again?

Lol, no, because that's not how liking things works. I liked them together from the start, always will. There may come a time I'll draw it again, it will show up in my art blog, but don't hold your breath. It's been years and it might be years more.

Why haven't you drawn lately?

Lazy. And like many others, I have new interests. I also work as an artist and look at screens all day so, it makes it hard to want to come home and... look at more screens.

Best shape of my life actually. Exercising. Working on my physical health, I'm on some great vitamins and supplements and what do you know? it made a difference. It really does come down to what you put in your body. My mental health hasn't been bad in years. My friends are great. I have been working full time as a marketing professional and graphic artist almost 7 years now. I don't have kids, but I have a big family that takes up most of my free time, and I also am trying to be more physically involved in my community. I'm great, just not present online like I used to be.

Honestly as a white rose fan myself I am glad they didn’t write it. Their romance stories seem to be absolutely garbage. Could they still throw it in and say oh they took a long time to find their feelings for each other? Yes, and it could be semi realistic, but there is never any hints of it being anything more than really close friends in the show

Lol, that last comment… the context can also be Weiss has shit taste (Neptune) or is like the people (gold digger and leeches) she dislikes (Invincible Girl and the Rusted Knight, fame and fantasy).

So Weiss could be bi, but she isn't interested in boring or plain people. Ruby doesn't have the fame.

So even her f/f relationships can be shit. Especially with someone like Pyrrha.

You can tell they wanted to go for Iceberg but then they just had to make Neptune openly flirt with NDGO, IN FRONT OF THE ENTIRE FUCKING CROWD, and then gave them no reunion in V6.

Every since Sheena came out with some insight with the stuff she worked on for vol 2 of rwby, and what she hinted at before posting her work, I always think back.

The rwby stans who use Monty's tweet "Dont insult my friends" to shut down criticism of Rwby, Miles and Kerry, and RT. Using a dead man's words to posthumously shame anyone for daring to think their precious show is not perfect because you're being so mean to Monty's friends! How dare you! They're trying their best to continue his legacy!

I always think "if the people in Crwby and RT were really Monty's friends, why didnt they stand by Sheena when she was being forced out of production? Why didn't they defend her when those nasty rumors spread that she killed her husband with cat allergies?"

The only person who was openly on her side was Shane and he was demonized as well by RT and the fandom as a a whole. Calling them both hysterical and irrational because of their grief. (How rich of RT not escaping the sexism allegations calling Sheena the hysterical wife)

I think both sides have a point here, mainly zephyr in terms of dragging back up Monty and his words just to try and stop any kind of conversation that does not align with certain peoples view points.

But also kob bringing up the fact that a lot of other companies have done some terrible shit.

But if I may give my own perspective, RT as a company should still be given scrutiny for their actions, and we should also give scrutiny to other companies who have done terrible things, but we should not be trying to divert the conversation to those other companies.

I'm saying this because I have seen a few people who have actively tried to divert the conversation away from giving scrutiny to rooster teeth, whether it be by dragging up the words of a Deadman or by pointing to other companies who are supposedly "worse". Because in my perspective both are still equally pointless and equally undeserving of being given validity.

This is not about comparing the goods of one company to another, this is about pointing out the wrongs that have occurred in that company so that we may learn from it and avoid repeating those mistakes. Nor is this about whose opinion aligns with a person who we don't know nor should we need to know on a personal level.

I say this as a guy who does not personally know nor care about the people in CRWBY, I take no interest in learning about those people because I'd rather judge their writing than judge them as people. Because if I did the latter that's most likely going to affect my opinion on the product they create which might lead to unfair judgment.

This probably feels like nothing Burger so I'm going to put this bluntly.

People who use a dead persons opinions or name to make themselves look better should not be in the fandom they may be in, because that can lead to a "damned if I do/Damned if I don't" in which they either seem like a piece of shit for seemingly disagreeing with someone who they have never met or they seem like cowards for not engaging in the conversation.

And people who try to misdirect people from looking at the problems of a company by pointing to others and going "yeah but they are just as bad or worse" should not be given an ounce of validity in that behavior because it's missing the point and it's brittle.

Or I could be looking way too into this and/or misreading this, winding up with me talking out of my ass, which quite frankly wouldn't be surprising considering my track record of bad opinions or opinions that are completely misinformed.

I can't exactly say all my opinions are 100% correct cuz that would just be a fucking lie so I wouldn't be surprised if I turned out looking like a fucking idiot.

Overall, my issue is here doesn't really have anything to do with RT, it's more to do with OP being so entrenched in hating RT/CRWBY/MK/whatever that I sincerely doubt they really care that much about RT's wrongdoings themselves...rather that said wrongdoings is an easy bludgeon.

Look I get that some people are frustrated at the slow burn Emisuba. I personally am not one of those people (romance is almost always the least interesting part of the story for me), but I get it. Comparing the two of them waiting to get into a romantic relationship because neither of them are really ready for it yet (because even though it’s mostly Emilia, it’s not JUST Emilia who isn’t quite there yet: Subaru might be over the top with his declarations of love for her, but he’s been pretty clear about how he can only really do that because Emilia doesn’t immediately leap to reciprocate his affections and give him a heart attack in the process) to the utter monstrosity that is Rent A Girlfriend is hysterical. At least Emilia and Subaru clearly care about and appreciate one another: one and a half seasons in and Chizuru and Kazuya still aren’t even FRIENDS yet — and frankly I don’t think they’ll ever even get to THAT point, let alone become lovers.

Ruby is being idolized because she's the leader and her character revolves around that, which was a major point in V9. I get it's supposed to be questioning the internal logic but...for fuck's sake, a lot of these people love shows like MHA that break their own internal logic all the time for the sake of storytelling.

…WHY did Heinkel try to kidnap Felt in order to keep Reinhard in one place again?

Cause like, Reinhard loves him. Reinhard would have raced to protect him from the other side of the city. Reinhard did exactly that the One Time Heinkel was actually about to die, a while after Otto had saved them from their stalemate. Heinkel almost certainly knows that Reinhard would protect him almost as fiercely as Felt, especially because that exact tendency is what almost got Reinhard stolen away from him in the dead of night before. Also, with Heinkel’s inhuman sturdiness (which is almost certainly something strange) to the point where he’s called his inability to die “the curse he has to bear,” I’m not even sure it would be a stretch to say he wasn’t even afraid for his life.

So like…was Heinkel really trying to keep Reinhard where Reinhard could protect him? Or was he trying to keep him where he COULDN’T fight the witch cultists for some reason?
