Ah cats “Hey Dean, don’t you want to play with the toy that Shawn took out of the packaging? …no?”
Korrasami flapper AU??? YES.
I love the 20’s vibe in the show, and I just had to draw this out!
OMG you guys/gals! Guess who’s in this week’s Republic Lifestyle?? Sorry I don’t have a good scanner and my phone camera’s crappy, but here’s a transcript of the writeup:
POWER PAIR
Avatar Korra discusses integration plans for the Spirit World and the infrastructure of Republic City with Future Industries CEO Asami Sato. The relationship between the world spiritual leader and the scion of the late industrial tycoon Hiroshi Sato has resulted in a harmonious and productive partnership that has so far been advantageous in keeping Republic City and its neighboring states economically and politically stable. Some say it’s a relationship with strategic implications, but those close to the couple will attest that it’s one that’s founded on genuine kinship, love and trust.

Ok, I clearly don’t live in this reality anymore! And LOL “love and trust” my ass, I’m not the best writer, sorry. Haha! Why are they talking business in a hangar? Because I say meeting rooms are boring and I want to draw airplanes and engines! Jokes aside, I added the full image without text in case anyone wants it. And a vertical crop if you wanna use it for your phone heh.
So I tried a thing. Messed up a bit but ehhh i’m getting the hang of it now.
I’m going to be cosplaying the Engineer from TF2 for ACen and decided to try to play the song from the Meet the Engineer video.
It’s that time of year again… INKtober! Doing something a little bit different this year to hopefully have a less sleep-deprived month (last year was fun, but oooooh man I did not get much sleep and that wasn’t so fun) - since thinking of what to draw was half the battle some days (a person really doesn’t feel like thinking after getting off of an exhausting cashiering shift), this year I’m going to use a character design prompt generator to provide a prompt each day. Different kind of thinking required. Also, might lead to some designs I can use down the road, so win-win :D So, INKtober Day One: short, thin / heavy metal armor / cyborg head / small gun, and a bit rusty because I haven’t picked up an inking brush in months, whoops. Won’t be this detailed every day since I lucked out and ended up with the day off O.o
This series has some of the absolute best female characters
James Lopez is a veteran Disney animator (The Lion King, Pocahontas, Paperman) who is trying to raise funding for his primarily hand-drawn short film, Hullabaloo, with hopes of eventually finding a studio to fund a full-length version.
From the film’s IndieGo page:
Hullabaloo is the story of Veronica Daring, a brilliant young scientist who returns home from an elite finishing school to find her father—the eccentric inventor Jonathan Daring—missing without a trace! The only clue left behind points Veronica toward Daring Adventures, an abandoned amusement park used by her father to test his fantastical steam-powered inventions. There she discovers a strange girl named Jules, a fellow inventor who agrees to help Veronica in locating her missing father and discovering the secrets of his work.
In addition to helping save 2D animation, Hullabaloo aims to encourage girls to explore science and adventure. The film’s two protagonists are both young women and both scientists who use their intellect, wits, and courage to fight greed and corruption. We hope that Veronica Daring and her friend Jules will serve as positive role models for girls of all ages and encourage them to get excited about science, engineering, and sci-fi.

This is great! Kind of sums up Avatar perfectly. Forgiveness and compassion are powerful things.
While I was on a date the other day...
Me: So do you have any hobbies?
Her: Well I like to smoke pot and watch Netflix
Me: ... I uhh... don't really think those are hobbies...
