I'm getting sick of the negativity for Disventure Camp
I get it. Not the best writing, not the best characters, too much fanservice, not enough fanservice, and oh my gosh the shipping discourses could choke a horse.
It's getting annoying now.
You can dislike a show for everything it brings. I will not deny that. However, hate watching the show just to nitpick and point out the things you dislike every other week gets old real quick. We get it, you hate ONC and Disventure Camp. You hate TomJake. You hate the art style. You hate that your favorite character didn't get far or went too far. All-Stars suck. Season 2 sucks. Rinse, lather, repeat.
Are you just watching a show to find fault or to find fun at this point?
I started DV in season 2 era. I went back to watch season 1. I survived All-Stars. I'm enjoying season 4 a lot. It gets me excited like watching Total Drama and Survivor back in the day. I wait a month to watch two episodes back to back just because I love the hit of dopamine I get from seeing a cool show.
There are characters I dislike, but I don't outright hate them. I don't devote my time to make art, posts, or threats to kill them! That's crazy.
So what if the writing is mid or bad in your eyes? Some people like it! I've seen shows that have zero plot and all substance. This show is not that. There's a narrative, there's always characters they focus on, and it's not so easy to write for multiple characters. That's a common flaw most writers have. They focus too much on a certain character or characters that they forget to flesh out some others.
My point is just this. We get this content on YouTube where everyone can watch it. We get to enjoy these episodes without some a-hole streaming service ruining the update schedule or canceling it. We get a multidiversal cast with queer romances, different ages, and pretty good voice acting. Heck, this show got me into Reality Resort and Million Game: Academy, both of which are getting fun and interesting.
Just tired of the negativity. The show isn't perfect, but it isn't brain rot terrible either. If you loved Total Drama enough to stomach all it's crazy flaws and characters, you can handle Disventure Camp too. I enjoy both though because they give me a break from reality for 20-25 minutes at a time.

Isn't it funny how we put so much hatred on Marinette Dupain-Cheng?
Season 6 drops and all I see when I open up Instagram is how much people hate Marinette. They hate that she's the main character. They hate that she hides secrets from her boyfriend. They hate that she keeps having to learn the same lesson over and over again.
Almost like they just want to hate her because she has FLAWS!
But it baffles the mind that these same people praise a hero like Peter Parker for doing the exact same things!
Peter has a secret identity that he hides from his family and friends. Peter had to keep the secret that his best friend's father was evil. He made stupid decisions like judging people, stealing stuff, and relying on himself instead of asking for help.
Yet he gets beloved by the Fandom and dragged through the mud by New Yorkers.
Where Marinette gets dragged by the Fandom and beloved by the Parsians.
It's the same formula, different characters. Why does one get constant praise while the other gets thrown under the bus? It's almost as if you lot prefer flawed male teens over flawed female teens.
so I got into grad school today with my shitty 2.8 gpa and the moral of the story is reblog those good luck posts for the love of god

Hey so
the last time I reblogged this post right before I got a great job, in a permanent work-from-home position, with benefits, retirement, and a salary literally 3x what I was making before, doing something I really like.
So you know.
This might be the real one, y’all.
what the hell? i could use some luck *hits reblog*
World Heritage Post
reblogging again… need it bad lol
I’m moving abruptly, so why the heck not.
TIME FOR MY REWATCH OF THE SERIES UNTIL SEASON 4!!!!
Oh, and the finale was a nail biter! I was on the edge of my seat, breath hitched and crazy. I did not expect the winner to be....
Spoilers for the episode
RIYA!?
OH MY GOSH! THAT WAS A TWIST!
To be honest, I'm not unhappy with the decision. If Jake had won, so many people would've complained. Riya winning has the same effect, but I'm glad we did get a villainess winning. The fact that she played dirty, got dirty, and acted dirty paid off in the end since she now has to live with the fact that no one likes her anymore. The man she so called loved is married. Her other villainous friends became better. And now she's rich and famous...but all alone to think about the life she could've had if she had just changed.
Her admitting to Connor she didn't need to change was the nail in the coffin.
Honestly, this is a better villain downfall than most Total Drama characters. Everyone expected her to have some shred of humanity, but it was only possible when the camera stopped rolling. There can't be a redemption arc when the person having said arc won't change.
That's just how life goes and how the industry can twist young adults. Riya had good intentions when she started, but now she's too far gone. It would take maybe her sister coming over to change her for good, but who knows?
Solid finale, I wanted to get this out before the hate train came.
I have been enjoying this season of Disventure Camp! While it does have it's flaws, and plot inconsistencies, I think I like how each episode keeps me on my toes and makes me second guess. I haven't been this excited since my days watching Total Drama. I can't wait for the spin-offs and new season because ONC has created a franchise worthy of being on par with Total Drama.
I try to stay positive with this franchise, but some of the fans can be a bit crazy or negative. I avoid them, but it always seems to come up when a character is off, an episode is mid, or even a ship. To the point where some people have just been so insufferable about a show and only watch it to hate on it every week!
We get to watch the show on a platform we all have access to.
The animation is actually pretty good for a fan series.
The character writing, some, not all, is good.
And not to mention we are getting more content from them than Total Drama on a weekly basis!
At this point, as we wrap up All-Stars, I will do a whole series re-watch for fun! Not to judge, not to cringe, and certainly not to hate! I just love that we are getting content from a studio who had to fight tooth and nail for the series to even be a thing.
That's just my two cents. I love this show and franchise and I can't wait for more.
Thank you Magia Record.
For me, you were the game that got me through college and my first job.
You got me to make my own team of Ocs and re-invigorated me to finish Madoka Magica.
Gave me some laughs.
Had me some cries.
I got DevilHomura!
Didn't get the IroKuro.
Let me experience the Tart girls!
Didn't get any of the crossover ones.
Then again, you were there for me in the late hours, the drag of the job, and the early mornings.
I will continue to love this franchise for the community, the art, and the stories.
So thank you Magia Record.
For someone who played both JP and NA,
You sure were one heck of a game..
My anniversary pulls were crazy this year! Between each and every free 10 pull, there was always someone new or I gave another slot (Mami and Anime Rena). I managed to now have all the core void girls, more of those silly chan ones, and even some next arc girls too. I was so mad when Ao spooked me on the Devil Homura banner and I didn't get her, so I settled with pulling Devil Homura-chan instead. Overall, one of my best pull seasons!
MY THOUGHTS ON TOTAL DRAMA 2023!
Hey everyone! Hope you campers are doing well today because I have a review just for you!
Total Drama is a franchise I didn't get to watch live on television. Mainly because I didn't get to see it growing up. However, that all changed when I reached high school and got majorly hooked. I liked the campers, the challenges, the wacky hijinks, the romance drama, and everything that makes the show unique. My favorite season is ROTI for a long time (Please don't hate. World Tour is a close third to the Ridonculous Race for me). All the characters, even the terrible ones, have all made quite the impression on me. For years, I've waited for new content to be uploaded, watching the stupid Dramarama, was there when Reunion shut down, and enjoy the pseudo series of Disventure Camp.
Now a new season has come out and let me be positive in saying that this was one of the best seasons in a long time.
New Chris voice? Doesn't bother me since I kinda liked the new voice direction.
All new cast instead of the old one? Thank goodness! The old cast is great, but new people are fun too! Stop whining for the old and embrace the new for a change.
Multicultural and LGBTQ rep? Sign me up! I loved Nichelle, Priya, Millie, Damien, and Bowie so much! Was surprised at the pairing of Bowie and Raj, too. Love them boys so much!
Challenges that felt different, but still stuck with the formula? Heck yeah! I loved the selfie one, the hunger one was funny, and the catapult one was so cool!
Were there negatives? Emma and Chase brought the season down sometimes. I liked Emma, but not enough to call her my favorite. She just needs to break up with that egotistical slimeball called Chase! Scary Girl being eliminated early hurt me too. She was funny. Damien got robbed, but he did that to himself.
My favorite characters made this season great for me!
Priya is my baby! She's funny, determined, and a hard worker. An athletic nerd girl to her core who trained to be on this show. I don't get the Priya hate, she's amazing! Sure she carried Millie, but that's what a girl in her shoes would do to a best friend. I liked their dynamic a lot.
Millie surprised me with how much I started to like her. She started off as a closet nerd that had a pension for being judgemental and mended her ways. Making friends with Priya was the best thing that ever happened to her. I bet she would get more love if they made her a villian.
Bowie....need I say more? He's the moment, the true villian in my opinion, and he slayed! His relationship with Raj was sweet, his friendship with Emma was funny, and his rivalry with Julia was top notch! This boy should come back for another season and kill it again!
Scary Girl aka Lauren was a fun character. A sweet little psycho who was Gothic and funny. I lived her wild card mindset of just being kooky and nutty while displaying certain strengths.
Damien was a cool nerd. Like he was chill and scared, but also knew his science. He came on the show expecting the million to be given to him. He's like if you mixed DJ with Cameron and added a dash of awesome. He wanted to get off so bad that he wasted his time. Bummer...
I feel bad for Nichelle though. Girlboss turned Girlfail real fast. I thought she was going to be the cool girl a la Heather and become the major villian. However, I just wanted to hug her instead. Hope she gets another season too.
Raj and Wayne are package deal and the bestest of bros. Wayne cracked me up when he noticed Raj was gay. He was literally the fan base when we all heard. Raj was a sweetie too. His crush on Bowie was the right amount of meet cute, awkward glances, and then Bowie became his hero. Boy loves his man more than hockey itself. How darling!
The other characters were okay in my opinion. Some were decent like MK and Zee. Chase can go die in a ditch with his car's breaks cut. Ripper was annoying. Julia was like a better version of crazy Courtney with Heather skills. Axel was fine too.
Chris and Chef's dynamic was much better than previously bad ones and Chef made me chuckle a few times. He's such an overprotective dad figure to the campers when he wants to.
Overall, I loved how the new season gave us a new perspective. Thirteen episodes are just okay to me, but I hope for more next time. Give this season a chance and maybe two watches before you come down on the hammer. It has gen z kids as the protagonists now, they are going to be different from the old cast. They were early z's, these campers are late z's. Do not be so hard on them.

Is there a problem with disliking characters?
Throughout my run of the Miraculous Fandom, there seems to be a notion that you aren't allowed to dislike certain characters. If you dislike Chloe, you get people spewing hate at you for not understanding her redemption arc or claiming you don't know how much she's suffered. If you dislike Lila, then you get people throwing insults your way about how you don't get her character or accusing you of being an apologist. Heaven forbid you dislike the main characters, especially Adrien! Seems like the so called 'golden child' is too special and lovable to be disliked, but we can slander Marinette till the cow comes home.
It's quite surprising how much we place attachment on fictional characters. Say someone likes Zoe for example. They say she's a great addition to the cast and has one of the best designs in the show. Now, depending on the person, they would either say that you are wrong for liking a "replacement" Chloe, spit at you for thinking such thoughts since Chloe was better, or even say you shouldn't like her due to Thomas being a jerk.
So, when we have people making art, stories, or post about a character we dislike, we want to get angry and tell them why they are wrong and that they should assimilate with those who enjoy the character.
This is forcefully imposing your ideals upon someone. Not cool at all.
Everyone is entitled to their own opinions, likes, and dislikes. Not everyone is going to see a character the way you see them. The problem we have is that when we anchor ourselves to that one character or characters, we tend to get defensive as if they were their own child. If you feel the need to impose your own opinions on a person, that just makes that character worse for the person.
Respect is a two way street. Maybe try seeing another side to the story. Instead of bashing the person, ask why they dislike the character. When you get your answer, respectfully nod and don't give sass. The worse you can do is force someone to like what you like.
Or you can be mad at me for not liking Adrien Agreste. Whatever catches your eye...

This may be an unpopular opinion about Miraculous Ladybug.
I think one of the central themes of Miraculous is emotional intelligence.
Emotional intelligence is the basic understanding of how we view and handle our emotions. Whether they be good or bad, we all have to process how we feel in every moment. Through the acknowledgement of our emotional state, we can better ourselves and mature into a healthier state.
Does this mean that negative emotions are bad? Of course, but we need these emotions in order to learn and develop.
I see the usage of akumazations as a reflection of how people act and function in the real world. When one doesn't allow themselves to feel those negative emotions, they overwhelm them and overtake their reasoning centers. In a way, we become easier to control or become uncontrollable monsters.
Maturity happens when you realize that you have those negative feelings and turn them around for good. Take Kagami for example. When we first meet her, she's stubborn, driven by anger, and determined to win no matter what. As she progressed as a character, that stubborn nature was used more to protect her friends and assert herself. That anger that one akumatized her was now the driving force to save those who too was akumatized. That determination to win was changed into determination to pursue relationships with friends and, to a lesser extent, maintain one with Adrien.
The show is about teenagers, so don't expect them to be mature at this age. The frontal lobe, which dictates logic, reasoning, and emotions, hasn't fully developed yet. Everyone has to understand that Marinette, Adrien, and their peers haven't fully grasped their fluxating emotions yet. They are still learning discernment, how to communicate their feelings, and thinking before they act.
Marinette doesn't learn from her mistakes? That's not true. Marinette does learn from her failures because she's allowed to. Most of her mistakes weren't meant to be bashed, but to teach us how to behave. Sure, we may not have taken a friend's phone or snuck into their house, but some of you did far worst than that at her age. The mercy your parents, peers, or other important figures in your life showed you when you messed up is the same way you should treat her mistakes.
Adrien should be mean to Marinette or shun her? But why? The boy yearns for emotional connections and Marinette is one of the healthier ones in his life outside of Nino. Adrien is learning how to express himself, assert his feelings, and conveying his thoughts far more now than when we first saw him. I think Marinette being a positive influence in his life helped him to mature a bit as well.
Ultimately, no matter how we see it, the real people getting mad at Marinette and Adrien are those whose emotional intelligence aren't the highest. Those who haven't matured past their high school stage in life and trying to justify their reasons for hating a character that is a reflection of their own. Maybe we all need to improve our emotions and learn how to show mercy and forgiveness to those still developing.
After all, we wouldn't want to become slaves to our own emotions.

Why I relate to Marinette: She's clumsy, but has good reflexes. She's organized, but gets frazzled when things don't go her way. She's smart and beautiful without needing confirmation. A natural born leader that makes mistakes. Able to make decisions, whether good or bad. Doesn't take crap from no one, but treats people how they liked to be treated. Is able to make friends with the most unlikely people. Always determined to make things right.
Why I relate to Adrien: Oblivious to people who have a crush on them, yet yearns to be loved.

Hey Miraculous fans,
So that new Kuro Neko trailer dropped and I already see the salters having a field day. They all are mad that Ladybug finally told off Chat Noir. They're mad that she decided to replace him. They're mad at Marinette, blaming her for all the stuff that's been happening for season 4.
You know what...I'm gonna be real honest with everyone.
I'm getting bored of Adrien as a character.
It's the same sob story we've all heard before. The Fandom wants to coddle the "sunshine child" so much that it's getting old. It's as if Adrien doing something wrong gets overlooked while Marinette is the spawn of Satan. They're like, "Ooh, Adrien lost his mother and he uses Chat Noir as an outlet to get away from his abusive father." Or, "I cannot believe Adrien wasn't chosen as the Guardian or that Ladybug should have told him about Master Fu."
You do realize that Adrien has never had to work for anything in his life? He's given almost everything to him, is rich, a model, never had bullies, was basically sheltered, and seems to be emotionally detached from the world! When he does feel something for Ladybug, it's akin to a lovesick puppy who can't take no for answer.
Take a hint Goldilocks, Ladybug isn't into you like that. She sees you as a partner, someone whom she needs to fight evil with. There is literally a time and a place for flirting and on the job isn't it! I'm getting sick of people defending Chat Noir's advances as "professing his love" when it is akin to a man child stalking a woman he likes. As much as people want to point out Marinette's stalking, let's talk about how Adrien has pictures of Ladybug on his desktop too!
Which brings up why I'm getting bored of Adrien. People see the new trailer and immediately want to bash Marinette, but I want to point out Adrien. Marinette is dedicated to her superhero job and guardian position. She's not perfect, she makes mistakes, but at least she takes credit and apologizes. She never felt like giving up, only in Origins do we ever see her wanting to give up the mantle. Not only that, she is a fashion designer, works in her parent's bakery, the emotional support of her friend group, and is being threatened by girls like Lila and Chloe on a constant basis. What does Adrien have to worry about? He has his life planned out, doesn't have to worry about much. He doesn't take his superhero job as seriously as Marinette. Like stated before, this is more of a whiney angst teen trying to "break free" of his oppressed environment. If this was a job for him, he would be more intuned and serious.
So pardon me if I react to Adrien getting mad at being rejected and quitting as a sign of a child who hasn't really progressed.
Because I feel that unless Adrien realizes that he's being a gaslighter towards Ladybug, doesn't take his superhero job seriously, and continues to threaten Plagg with quitting....
Then I just don't have to be that invested in why people defend this supposed "sunshine boy".

This week on Miraculous....
Marinette almost gets akumatized into an anti-masker.
(I really loved this new episode, I swear.)
