Hi, my name is Toony/Trickster, a nonbinary, black, disabled, autistic, queer 18 year old and I’m getting kicked out of my house by my abusive, transphobic mother for having a panic attack.

Yesterday my mom and I got into an argument where she slapped me, called the police on me twice (for no reason, and she often does this knowing damn well I’m terrified of the police), punched me and slammed my hand into a door to the point where I couldn’t move it.

Along with this, she called me retarded, mocked me for crying after she hurt me and said “she can’t handle me being trans due to the mental illness aspect.” During the instance where she slammed my hand into the door, the beginning of the frame began to crack and the door can’t shut correctly.

I don’t know how long I have here and I need to find a place to live, prefably in the Western Massachusetts area near Springfield so I can get to school and work.

All those posts you see of young artists charging $3, $6, $10 for a drawing because they need help? That’s fucking exploitation, and fuck you if you think it’s reasonable or a “good deal" to pay nickels and dimes to squeeze a full-color original drawing out of some talented, hardworking kid because things are tight, and they can’t afford their textbooks. Or food. They sure as hell can’t afford to make you art for $6.

Instead, stop. And ask them where you can donate. If you can afford a $6 drawing, then you can afford to spend $6 simply to help someone. You don’t need internal organs as payment.

Don’t allow young artists to be exploited.

I’d go one step further and say: Offer to pay them decent Illustration wages instead if you still want a drawing, say around $20/hour. That way not only will you blow their socks off with your kindness and respect for their abilities, but you will also endow them with a sense of worth that they’re probably hurting for after being surrounded by the sort that makes them feel like their services are so worthless.

Illustration is a professional skill requiring years of training and dedication, regardless if there’s a school involved. If you enjoy that artist’s work and want to help them out, either donate like suggested above or else pay them what their work is worth and pass on the word.

To the non-artist, its hard to see the worth in art especially if they didn’t put 10, 5, 2 or even 1 years of solid effort to get to the level of artistic ability there are today.

If the person complaining is still unhappy with the price despite that reasoning? Well let THEM make their own drawing themselves and spend the $10 elsewhere. GL to them getting the level of artistry you have without those years of experience they put behind them!

hi, this is mr dad, the most tragic boy in the universe

okay, at the time of this video he wasn’t, it was taken in January for a vet checkup, but now he might be the most tragic, or at least close. mr dad is a ten year old rescue cat i took in in 2016. in the past month he’s had to be taken to the vet more often than the last 3 years combined. in it, he’s needed

treatment for feline pink eye ([coupon used] $25 visit, plus $25 goo, $30 in lyfts)

treatment for FLUTD ($250 visit, plus $25 medicine, $20 new food and litter, $30 cat pheramone starter kit)

today he’s started straining to pee outside the box again, suggesting the FLUTD is threatening to flare up.

I’ve placed him back in my room with all his favorite things in hopes it will help. im really exhausted and concerned, because my second job cancelled today and my main job is on-call and this week i work half the hours i get for the entire month, 12 hour days. my roommate can look after him until Monday, but after that, we are screwed. FLUTD can go from okay to fatal in a matter of hours, but if i miss work to monitor him i won’t be able to afford rent, or, god forbid, emergency care if he winds up needing it.

HELP MY AUNT SURVIVE CHEMO WHILE RAISING HER SONS

My 47 year old aunt, Edilza, has undergone three surgeries (two of which went badly) since the last months of 2018 ever since she has been diagnosed with intestine cancer. All of this away from her close family, and with very few information getting to us.

Eventually my mom along with some of her sisters travelled to see the state of her situation only to find that she was nearly in a comatosis state probably due to the (as we later found out) bad treatment she was receiving in the hospital. Later on my mom also found out that my aunt and her two 1 year and 7 months old babies were living in a very distressful, paranoid and abusive situation in the house of her mother in law.

My mom managed to convince my aunt to get her chemotherapy south of Brazil, in the state of São Paulo, while living in the same city as her family and sisters who love and would tend for her and her sons. However, her husband and his family decided to cut the money income and therefore she would stay with us by her own money - which she doesn’t have much, counting with the government benefits.

For her own good and peace of mind and spirit, which she needs now more than ever in this life or death situation, my mom is planning to rent a good place and move in with my aunt and her sons to help her until her chemotherapy sessions come to an end. All her other sisters are helping in their own way (transportation, furniture, babysitting, cooking, housing, etc) but as it turns out, money is a real impediment since my family is poor. This money is urgent and will help her in ways that could save my aunts life; by renting a good house, by giving both my aunt and her sons the proper food they need, and giving her the possibility of raising her children without putting her own life in jeopardy, close to her family, good doctors, and with infinite love.
