It started when I was in kindergarten, and I was so proud I did not have to go to Bingo class, unlike my friends, because I could speak good English -
although I had no idea what a yellow dog that could spell had anything to do with Chinese.
(I figure out now...
Rupert Edwards from Dick Diver once told me that Al Montfort’s “just really good at writing politically incorrect rants.” Al’s playing the Sydney Opera House this weekend for a festival called Vivid Live. I interviewed him along with Blank Realm and Exhaustion and Nic Warnock. On why he reckons it’s important for a bunch of punk losers to play the Opera House, Al said this:
“So we can stick it to the man of course. I could go on…… I will. It’s important because The Opera House and many other venues around this country were built and sold to the Australian public on the basis that these venues would help preserve our own cultural identity and bring us the best of entertainment from around the world. Ripped off! these venues pretty much exclusively preserve the most eurocentric aspects of our cultural heritage let alone what interests the bulk of Australians today. Most people couldn’t give a stuff about what happens in there most the time. Free the freaks. let them in the opera house. let them down spring street. let them into the ‘arts’ centre. And yes the Beatles are dead”
Yeah he’s a funny bastard.

Another species to be added to the ever-growing tick-list:
Africa’s Western Black Rhino has been officially declared EXTINCT. Poaching and lack of conservation have led the subspecies of black rhino to extermination, while the Northern White Rhino is ‘teetering on the brink of extinction’.
Way to go, humanity.
what’s sad is hardly anyone fucking cares or wants to hear about it let alone talk about it
THIS DAY JUST GETS WORSE AND WORSE :(
