I remember this day, the first of several beginnings. It was a first date. It was my first time getting on a boat for pleasure instead of travel. It was on the Hudson River and I remember passing under the Brooklyn Bridge and feeling like I'd met some point in my life that waited for me. #TB

#TB This was during my last year of undergrad at #SchreinerUniversity where I studied English but always found myself in photography classes. I became very interesting in self-portraits because I felt like no one was ever seeing me that way I saw them, or myself. I deeply appreciate natural landscapes and varying land types, and Schreiner is situated in the hill country of central Texas in Kerrville, so there's some natural duality kf vegetation and dry earth, making for interesting and varying environments.

#TB That day I came across a copy of the first magazine I was published in. I was so proud. It was The Tenth Zine's (@thetenthzine) first issue, "The Masters" My first year in NYC was really difficult and the editors/creators of this magazine really gave me a shot and treated me like family when I needed it most.
